Birthday trip

Condo is very nice and maintained well. Fantastic view from condo of ocean. Host was fantastic with communication and was of great assistance and super friendly.

Very dated

Placed dyer need of paint and besides the 2 bathrooms bedroom doors would not shut, patio screen in main bedroom would not open, kitchen patio door very hard to operate,. The whole house is cluttered.

St Croix

The location was such that we were 20-30 min of everything we wanted to do. It was a bit of a challenge at first to get used to driving on the opposite side of the road and a lot of the drivers did NOT use their turn signals, so we had to stay alert. The weather and water were beautiful, but did not care for the stones/shells on the beach. Overall, we had a great time. The condo had everything that we needed and the grounds were immaculate.

Great view, great communication

We stayed 8 nights in this nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. Everything we needed was there including beach chairs, towels, and other useful amenities as well as all the kitchen utensils, tableware, and pots and pans we needed. Peggy was easy to work with. We had a bit of a problem with the A/C on Christmas eve/day, and even with the holiday Peggy was responsive and worked to get maintenance to address the problem. Once fixed, we had no other problems, and really enjoyed our stay. The view of the beach and ocean was beautiful, although as the listing notes, this isn't a swimming beach. The pool was nice and was used daily. And swimming beaches are quite close by if that's what you're looking for. Overall, a very nice stay!

Loved it!

Such a cute place! Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Thoughtful touches like a bottle of Cruzan Rum and bath towels on the beds made us feel welcomed. Never used the AC because the ocean breeze is fabulous. Falling asleep and awaking to the sounds of the ocean was heaven. Quiet & peaceful complex. Perfect place to relax & recharge. Condo was well stocked from shampoo, conditioner & body wash to pots, pans, utensils, beach towels & cooler. Definitely need a car to get around the island as there is no “Uber”. Condo owners left recommendations on dinner establishments and brochures about island activities. Had to text owner with a question and got a prompt response. We really enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back.

Slice of Heaven

I stayed in Peggy's place for a week while I helped my daughter get settled into her apartment after recently moving to St. Croix. It was the perfect place for us. Even in the off-season beautiful natural light and stunning view, I loved opening the doors to hear the ocean and having my coffee on the deck each morning. The beds are deliciously comfortable, the walk-in shower in the master bathroom is divine, and the kitchen is well appointed. It was just the right size to feel spacious and cozy (there were two of us). I worked remotely during the week and the internet was solid. Some places simply feel friendly and this is one of those places. A word to the wise - try to check-in before dark as the road down to the La Grande Princesse is not well lit so if it is your first trip to STX you might wonder where you are headed!

Quiet and calm

We very much enjoyed our stay. Coffee every morning at sunrise on the private beach. It was particularly hot during the 10 days of our stay but we stayed very comfortable. The main space and master bedroom have AC which helped take the edge off as we acclimated but we were then able to turn them off and enjoy the breezes and sound of the waves crashing at night. Peggy was VERY responsive to any questions we had and very pleasant to communicate with. The condo was exactly as described and we made some friends with some folks who live there year round. The groundskeepers are very kind and helpful. one even taught me how to properly open coconuts. The entire compound is gated which gives a sense of security when visiting a new place. Easy to navigate (use Google maps -not Apple Maps) and quick to get to downtown Christianstead to visit the fort, boardwalk and a meal. This location is perfectly centered on the north side of the island to easily get too many points of interest. We had to work the first few days there and the internet was very stable (even for video conferencing). I was able to easily bake bread while there. My husband made homemade pasta. We found the kitchen to be well equipped. Including a large water cooler (in general it’s best to not drink tap water anywhere on the island.) so this large cooler was used and appreciated. Look forward to returning soon!

Very quiet

Let me start by saying this could have been a really really great vacation spot for us however the beach IS NOT A SWIMMING BEACH!!! There are sea urchins every where and no warning signs or swim at your own risk signs posted. The only sign posted was about nesting sea turtles. The small beach infront of the condo had tons of sea grass but my husband still went in. He was rolling around screaming danger. When he was able to get out of the knee high water and get to the beach we began to see what danger he was hollering about. Both of his feet and one of his hands had sea urchin spines stuck in them. FIY you have to pick them out while digging with a needle and tweezer for DAYS. Seriously, I think he just got the last bit out of his and and foot 14 days after this happened. He spent his morning soaking in vinegar then picking till he felt like joining us in the pool. The condo it self was PERFECT. The pool was clean and very quiet. The horses across the road were probably the coolest thing to us because they just run around or appear where ever they want! They love to be fed apples:) Unfortunately this event really limited our vacation activities to the pool.

Unbeatable view!

This condo was cheery, well-equipped, and adequate for our week long stay for 3 adults. The view off of the master bedroom and living room was stunning! In spite of a small communication glitch, Peggy was wonderful in resolving it and making sure we got in to the place! The property manager was also very friendly and helpful. There is a small stretch of beach in front of this small condo complex, and by wading around rocks or going through the side gate a longer stretch of beach can be accessed. We stayed out of the water here due to high waves and urchins. In all it was a good stay!

Great home base for a low key island visit

This property is exactly as shown in the pictures and as described. My husband and I and our 2 friends fit comfortably in this 2 bed 2 bath condo which is steps from the beach. As it mentions the beach is not great for swimming but the pool is well maintained and a great hang out when not exploring the island. The check in/check out process was so easy and seamless. We had absolutely no issues during our stay and would recommend this location for anyone wanting a great spot to use as a home base for their island exploration. The availability of pool floats and beach chairs was fantastic along with great little additions like coolers and insulated water bottles made our stay that much easier and were very nice touches.

Excellent place to stay

Excellent place to stay. Stores in the area are more expensive than center island but it’s a short drive. Condo was super clean and the setup was great. Island breeze and sound of the waves at night made me sleep like a baby. Peggy was awesome to work with. Will be staying here again on our next trip!!!

Everything we expected and more

The property was exactly as it was represented in the posting. Beautiful condo in a wonderful location on the ocean and access to the beach so close. The daily walk along the beach unbelievable as well as several area to snorkel. We felt safe in the gated community. The condo, pool area and beach front area maintained continuously and clean. The manager was available for anything we needed. The community of other condo owners and renter were so friendly and helped to point out restaurants and sightseeing, best snorkeling and historical places that you don’t want to miss. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable vacation. Thank you Peggy Schumm we plan to return again, we still need to get to Buck Island for snorkeling and places that had to close due to Corvus-19.

Cruzan Christmas

We had our most memorable Christmas vacation ever staying at this beautiful condo with breathtaking views of the breaking waves of turquoise water. The condo is well laid out and had everything we needed. The kitchen had quality dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. Beach chairs and towels we so handy for our trips to the beach. The kids loved swimming in the pool & the management keeps the grounds spotless. Everyone at the Cruzan Princess community was friendly & respectful. Washer & Dryer availability was key and they worked well. Owner was friendly and helpful in getting us set up for a great stay. Highly recommend this condo for awesome trip to St. Croix!
