All Season Fish Cabin på Lake Colby, Saranac Lake

Denna stuga ligger några steg från vår privata strand på Lake Colby och har egen brunnspit utanför. Hyresgäster kan använda någon av våra sex båtar: en roddbåt, 2 kajaker och kanot i full storlek och en kajak med barnstorlek. Lake Colby är känd för sin fantastiska fiske. Lake Colby är en del av den större Saranac Lake Community som erbjuder många turistattraktioner, inklusive vandring, snöskidåkning, zip-linjer, golf och fantastisk mat. Denna stuga ligger också en två minuters promenad till den offentliga stranden och båtlanseringen.
Kabinen ligger 5 minuters bilresa från Mt Pisgah, där vänner och familj kan njuta av utförsåkning och snowboard.

Låt oss veta om du vill boka mer än en stuga. Vi har 3 andra stugor: Björn (2 säng ett bad), Fisk (en säng, ett bad) och Loon (en säng, ett bad) tillgängligt för en stor grupp att njuta av. Alla 4 stugor skulle sova 20 personer.

The Village of Saranac Lake ståtar med underbara restauranger, pubar och kaffebutiker. Colby Cabins ligger ca 1 mil från Mt. Pisgah där hela familjen kan njuta av skidåkning, slang och snöbräda. Saranac Lake är omgiven av några av de mest natursköna vandringslederna på East Coast. Lake Colby är känd för det är utmärkt fiske av: regnbåge och öring, lax, largemouth och smallmouth bas. Maximalt 10 hk motorer kan användas på denna sjö.

Perfect getaway

Gathering of Friends

We had a great time staying here. The property was beautiful and close to town. Well kept, clean, and provided all the necessities one would expect. Huda and Ethan provided an easy check in, along with updating us on road/parking conditions prior to our arrival. We will definitely be back again.

My only suggestion is having adult sized life vests - my cabin had 4 cild size and I adult but aside from that I'm looking forward to going back.

A lovely getaway by the lake

Lake Colby is in a great location, and central to all of the adventures we wanted to do. The Fish cabin had everything we needed and the kitchen was adequately stocked with the basics. Although this cabin was not directly on the water, we still were able to enjoy the waterfront and launch our SUP boards each day. Our dog loved swimming in the lake and watching red squirrels from the screened in porch. The discovery of the newly opened rail trail already has us planning a return trip to stay at one of the cabins directly on the water. Thanks for the great stay!

great stay at Colby Lake!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Fish cabin at Colby Lake! The communication with Huda was great and she made the whole process super easy and inviting! We would gladly come back for another stay! Having use of the boat, kayak, and canoe allowed us to venture out on the lake! An eagle’s best was spotted around the bend and lions greater us each morning! Even a passing shower was enjoyed while sitting on the enclosed porch! Thank you so much for a great stay in the Adirondacks!

Saranac lake winter carnival fun!

This is a beautiful lakeside (lake Colby) cabin. Even though the temperatures were below zero the cabin stayed toasty warm. We loved visiting the ice castle and carnival events in Saranac Lake ,5 minutes drive. Also fantastic restaurants in Saranac. Drove over to Lake Placid ,25 min and snowshoed at Heaven Hills with the dog. Our favorite was xc skiing at the VIC at Paul Smiths. This cabin was a perfect location to easily visit all the winter fun in the area. It was so clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed comfortable. We loved it! Thanks we hope to come back in the summer or fall.

Enjoyable Stay in the ADKs

Compact, well equipped, cozy cabin situated very close to Saranac Lake. Great communication with the host prior and during the stay. Only a few things to be aware of - cabin is not on the water (which is disclosed in the description) but what is not explained is you have to walk through other guests' property to access the dock and the available water craft. Felt like an intrusion. Also, the photos of the sun streaming through the windows are a mystery. The cabin is completely surrounded by trees - we had to put lights on during the day. But otherwise, this is a lovely place.

Beautiful little cabin

Very cozy, very cute. This cabin has a screened-in porch, which was very nice, but the downside is it doesn't have a seating area directly by the water (which the other three cabins at this address do). No matter, we had a wonderful time and it was an absolutely beautiful site.

Hoda was a great host. Easy to communicate with before, during and after our stay. The cabin was clean and felt welcoming. Fish cabin was an idyllic Adirondack get-a-way.

Great and fun

This is a nice place! It is a bit old and a a bit short, has its own quirks. The place is wonderful though, close to the water and quick to town. It got very cold while we were there (-20 F) and the heater was mostly able to keep up. It was very clean and well taken care of. Stay here if you’re looking for fun

If you're looking for a nice, clean, simple cabin to base your activities you've found it. No lake view but easy to walk to the dock or beach to sit and enjoy the view.

Beautiful cabin

We liked our stay very much. Everything worked very well, the cabin was super clean and well stocked. We were able to use the kayaks no problem and the swimming beach is very close. The street that it’s on is quiet and we all slept great at night. My only feedback would be that the photo for Fish Cabin showed a very beautifully lit and sunny space. Fish Cabin is extremely dark, gets no direct sunlight. We had the lights on every day inside. But other than that it was a really pleasant lovely stay.

Quiet, beautifully decorated cabins on Lake Colby

We stayed two nights at Fish cabin, which is well maintained, comfortable and decorated just like the photos. It was super neat and clean with lovely Adirondack furniture. We realized when we pulled in that we had stayed at the Moose cabin 15+ years ago when our children were small. It too is an absolutely beautiful cabin. We plan to come back with extended family. We highly recommend staying at these cabins if you are in the Saranac Lake area. Huda is a very responsive and accommodating host.

My husband and I live in the Hudson Valley, but our favorite place to relax and recreate is the Adirondacks. Our caretaker is up the road and you will be provided his cell number. We are also a phone call or text away.

During COVID-19 our staff are taking extra precautions to disinfect surfaces. We have Covid Checkout guidelines posted in each cabin.

We provide fresh towels and linens and in the summer months, beach towels and life jackets for guests. In warm weather months, guests can choose from two row boats, two canoes and 3 kayaks which are kept at our private beach.

This cabin is a two minute walk to the public beach and a one minute drive to the public boat launch. We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.
Let us know if you wish to book more than one cabin. We have 3 other cabins: Bear (2 bed one bath), Fish (one bed, one bath) and Loon (one bed, one bath) available for one large group to enjoy. All 4 cabins would sleep 18 people.

We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.

Varför värden valde detta boende

These cabins are on a beautiful lake where one can enjoy swimming or use of any of our 7 boats. A short drive away are excellent golf courses, some of the best hiking on the East Coast and great down hill skiing and snow boarding. Our cabins are insulated and heated year round and renters will enjoy the serenity of Lake Colby and the wonderful village of Saranac Lake any month of the year.

These cabins are decorated to match the historical styles of the Adirondacks, but provide the comforts of you own home: AC, WIFI and Smart TV's. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise on Lake Colby or watch the sunset with a bear at the fire pit on the lake.
