Ligger när du kust till staden Damaskus, Längs för resan är det perfekta läget! Intill och inom kvarter av cykelbussföretag, restauranger och butiker i centrum. Bakgården är komplett med ett 500 m² stort däck med utsikt över floden, det perfekta sättet att koppla av efter en dag med cykling eller vandring! Appalachian Trail kommer ut cirka 1/4 mil längs vägen som ligger framför hemmet.

Det stora sovrummet som en ny King Size-säng, full storlek garderob, ny platt-TV och två fönster för att njuta av floden ljud.

Två totalrenoverade badrum, inklusive ett sminkfria område.

Köket är helt renoverat, inklusive alla nya krukor, kastruller, diskar, redskap och häftklamskryddor.

Kaffe / tebar med specialkaffe och te. Vi har också muggar och inkluderade reseisolerade termoser så att du kan ta din morgonkaffe kaffe på spåret och hålla den varm.

Incredibly special place

This is our second time staying at this property and we cannot wait to come back again. Jennifer has thought of everything! There is a little something for everyone here. We had a wonderful time with family and friends, escaping the stresses of every day life, creating memories on the bike trail, in town, and on the creek. Looking forward to our next stay!

Best Family Weekend!

We just had the most amazing stay and ride on the Creeper Trail! This house was so welcoming and perfect for a family trip with kids. From the welcome basket full of treats to all the fun toys and games to play with to the rocks to paint and pictures to take, this host has thought of everything to truly elevate your stay. The kitchen is so well stocked too! Perfect location and felt very safe. Will definitely rent again! 10/10

Sister reunion

Four 60+ sisters had a wonderful stay. The house and property were everything we hoped it would be based on the pictures and description. The house has a few rough edges but a ton of quaintness and charm. Very much like Damascus. We prepared all our meals in the well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the game room had some fun surprises. But the best part was the back porch and creek side yard. We’ve rented over a dozen vacation houses and have never spent as much time relaxing outside. All but one meal was eaten outdoors. The creek itself was awesome and provided such a relaxing ambiance. Walking on the trail was an every morning event.

Convenient to the Creeper and town!

We loved Jen's place and all the little touches she's added to make the stay fun. Games and scavenger hunts were great! The home was right on the trail which was very convenient to go for rides and right next to town as well. Having the river literally in the backyard was great for cooling off after a big day of adventuring. We'd definitely come back!

Perfection

The owners thought of everything! From the delightful decor and comfy beds, the fun game room, relaxing porch This house was perfect. Located in the heart of Damascus and an easy walk to everything. If you want to visit the Creeper Trail there is a bicycle rental next door. You can stay home and relax in the back porch while watching the river flow by. Don’t forget to try to solve the two scavenger hunts to open the treasure chests. I promise you won’t be disappointed. This house is a 10 out of 10!

Spectacular in every way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was very happy to have found this property. I’d give 6 stars if possible! Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. Jennifer the host and owner was totally amazing. Very communicative and helpful in leading up to arrival and so accommodating in every way possible (thank you again for going above and beyond). She is just sweet as pie! Speaking of sweet…the complimentary gift basket of goodies was a huge hit and very much appreciated. Without going into too many details and spoilers for those thinking of renting it trust me when I say this property has everything you would want and more for both adults and kids! It was exceptionally equipped with literally everything you could imagine and more. The back yard deck on the creek was so beautiful and my favorite place on the property. Furthermore, this property in my opinion has arguably the best location in Damascus. It is so convenient to everything in town that we walked everywhere we wanted to go when not hitting the trails or out on the Grayson Highlands playground. Jennifer created a model for how other home rental owners should replicate. We will definitely stay in this property again.

Spring Break

This is a wonderful place to stay with a family whether you want to get outdoors or want to enjoy all the property has to offer. The host is wonderful and easy to communicate with. This was our send time at this location.

Fantastic Property

Lots of people give 5 stars easily. I do not. But this rental is far and above. The owner has created such a wonderful experience. She has thought of everything. Fresh half and half to go with a large collection of coffee pods, scavenger hunts both in the home and around the town that my granddaughter absolutely loved, fresh cut flowers, xbox, loads of games, clean grill, wonderful fire pit, rock painting and water color supplies, and on and on. Open a bedroom window and listen to the river all night long…so peaceful. Jump on your bike and get on the Creeper Trail right in front of the property. You can even just sit and watch the Appalachian Trail hikers going by. Everything was sparkling clean, lots of parking. We had 6 ebikes loaded in my truck and she offerred to set the front camera to motion detection to help with security. I highly recommend this rental.

Absolutely amazing in every way!

This home absolutely made our stay in town. The owners have thought of everything a guest could need and the spacious interior allowed us to have plenty of space to relax and unwind. Absolutely spotless and tons of fun extras for the family to enjoy! Great kitchen and game room and the setting by the creek was beautiful. The owners provided wonderful communication and were thoughtful in every way- we can’t wait to return!! Thank you for your attention to every detail a guest could need!

Biking the creeper trail.

Loved the covered back deck and being able to sit and listen to the river flowing by. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you for the lovely gift basket with all the goodies! And the beds were so very comfortable! And the best part was getting to spend time with my 3 sisters and brother in law who drove down from New York to meet me.

Excellent Host and House

We stayed for 2 nights for Fall Break and to bike the Creeper Trail. The home truly had everything from activities and games to a fully stocked kitchen. Kids and adults loved it. The scavenger hunts were huge crowd pleasers! Highly recommend this house!!

These hosts are amazing!

We love this property! Thank you for another great stay. Our parents joined us this year for a great trip to Damascus. The home is kept up so well with so many amenities. My daughter loved the painting easel and the other games in the game room. We played a lot of badminton and volleyball. The new upgrades on the patio were beautiful and so cozy! We cant wait to come again next fall!

Grandma’s 93 Birthday! 🎂

Jen was AMAZING! I was going to ask about a place to order a cake, and she already got one and decorated the house for us! The house had everything we needed and things we forgot! I would 10/10 recommend!! Not to mention outside was a beautiful, peaceful retreat!

Best hostess ever. Period. If Jennifer doesn't teach a post-graduate course in hospitality at VRBO University, she should. Things that we've always found it necessary to bring with us to a rental, she had already provided. Coffee, sugar, even creamer - the very creamer we keep at home! Every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. Lots of fun games. Exceptionally comfortable seating in the living area. The outdoor seating also very comfortable and varied. And the mattress in the master bed - the real test of any accommodation - was great. In short, a fantastic place to stay and an even more fantastic property owner.

Perfect Getaway!

This was our 2nd time staying at Along for the Ride. Just like our first visit, Jen went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house is stocked with everything from games to fishing gear. Between the location, equipped house, river in backyard and large back deck we think this house is perfect!

Incredible experience

This was the most incredible property! Jennifer thought of everything! The indoor and outdoor spaces were both so wonderful, including something for everyone! For those that like nature, music, art, adventure! The scavenger hunts were the icing on the cake! The property led us to disconnect from our devices and reconnect with each other. Beautiful Getaway

We enjoyed our time very much at your lovely home. You totally welcomed us and we felt as if it were our home from the minute we walked in. The location is superior!!!! We did feel as if the front and back porches were dirty. Wished that they had been washed clean of all the dead bugs and cob webs!!

Our family of 7 loves the outdoors and the beauty of the mountains! We have enjoyed the Virginia Creeper Trail for years and when this adorable house came available to buy, we knew it would be the perfect VRBO for others and a wonderful home for us to enjoy as well!

This property is in the perfect spot! You coast in from the Virginia Creeper Trail (start in White Top) and you can walk to everything in downtown. The restaurant across the street has live music on the weekends and we have a fire pit area in the backyard overlooking the river... just a perfect place to make family memories!
