Historisk bungalow (ca 1892) ligger i den vackra stadsdelen Historic District. Låglevande ek / palmer som omfattas av spansk moss. 5 kvarter till downtown marina och 5 andra båt landningar. 15 min bilresa till Hunting Island Beach-8 miles av orörd, härlig strand. Promenera till restauranger, butiker, museer, vattnet och hus av dyrkan. Cykel den 11 milen spanska Moss Tr. Kajak eller paddla på den härliga intercoastalen. Antebellum hem betraktad av häst och buggy. 10 min bilresa till Parris Island.

Stugan är en 45 min bilresa till historiska Savannah och en timme och 20 minuter till Charleston. Det är runt kvarteret från USCB Performing Arts Center, 5 kvarter till det kommersiella distriktet (shopping / restauranger), strandpromenaden och downtown marina och 3 olika museer. En 15 minuters bilresa till Hunting State Park, strand och fyr, där hundar är tillåtna. En 15 minuters bilresa till Penn Center museum och hus där Martin Luther King stannade och skrev. 10 block cykeltur till spanska Moss Trail där du kan cykla, springa eller gå. Great location and very nice house

We really enjoyed our time in this house. It was comfy, clean and really close to downtown Beaufort. The owner was very responsive. Can’t think of a thing that wasn’t great!

Another Great Stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage! It’s perfect for me, my husband and our two dogs. Very efficient house - has all the essentials for a comfortable stay. We love that it is located within the historic district. We take many walks! Access to great restaurants we walk to is also a plus! We will be back!

Great Location

The Pelican Cottage is located in the historic district and close to shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was great for walking. The cottage was very pet friendly…complete with dog beds and treats! I would definitely recommend staying there!

Beautiful home away from home

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage. It has everything needed and was so comfortable and cozy! The owners were very courteous and was available for the couple questions I had. I didn’t have to reach out to them for much because everything was already explained. I highly recommend to anyone coming to Beaufort, SC. It is so convenient to everything.

Home away from home

The Pelican Cottage is a charming, welcoming place to call home. Everything you need is available to you and the location is perfect. Beautiful walk to Bay Street and the waterfront. Denise was the perfect host and quick to respond to messages. And being affordable and yet pet-friendly to our two little fur babies was a big ✅ on our list! We will definitely be back to The Pelican Cottage!

Hidden gem

We had such a great stay at the Pelican cottage. Its location is fantastic with all sorts of Amenities around, but yet quiet and quaint. The house was well stocked and the attention to detail was great to experience. We enjoyed the front porch and the games available.

Great place

Can’t say enough good things about this little cottage! Very clean and well appointed. The little things like the water pressure in the shower to the numerous coffee makers really made it for us. Denise was very responsive to questions and provides a very simple check in process. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable

This was our second year renting the Pelican Cottage. It’s a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to downtown. We had everything we needed for a 15 night stay. Our host, Denise, was great. We appreciated the treats she had for us and whenever I texted her, she got back to me within minutes. It’s a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended!

A delightful stay

We stayed 3 weeks at Pelican cottage. Here is what I really appreciated about our stay: a cozy place to stay, well supplied with things including in the kitchen (which is important to us). Wonderful conversations with the host, who was very insightful about the environment of Beaufort as well as very responsive. Wonderful location, walking distance from the marshland, downtown, the waterfront. Kind neighbors all around with whom one could have leisurely chats. All together a solid stay, which I would absolutely recommend!

Cute cottage! Fabulous location!

Perfect cottage for my husband, me and our two English Springer Spaniels! Enough space for their crates and loved that you could close off the hallway to the bedrooms and bathroom and laundry/pantry area. Loved the Old Commons section of the historic district and the proximity to Bay Street and the waterfront area. We walked all around the historic district - no reason to move the car! Cottage had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. We will be back again!

Perfect cottage getaway

The property is outstanding! Cleanest and best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. The owner thought of everything; and made the house so welcoming for us, and our pups. It is so nice to find a pet friendly property that is this clean. I am allergic to most dogs, and am limited in which ones I can have. At previous pet friendly rentals I have had allergy attacks due to past fuzzy guests; that did not happen this time! Wonderful rental, would highly recommend.

An excellent experience!

The Cottage was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect - easy to walk down town to all of the great restaurants and unique shops. The property manager, Denise, was great to work with. Our only frustration was the TV. There are no local channels so we couldn’t get the local news. We don’t have any of the apps and the channels we could get kept stopping unexpectedly (and resuming after a minute or so). Not a big deal. Overall renting the Pelican Cottage was A plus!

A cozy retreat

This quaint little cottage in Beaufort offered a delightful dog-friendly getaway, just a short walk from the waterfront and town center. It was clean and included thoughtful touches like welcome snacks that made our arrival instantly warm. However, our stay wasn't entirely without its hitches. Several burned-out light bulbs left the kitchen area feeling a bit dim, making cooking a bit of a challenge. Stepping stones through the grass (which was occasionally wet from built-in sprinklers) would be a helpful addition. And while the television provided entertainment, its sluggish response time tested our patience on occasion. Overall, this cottage has undeniable charm and a wonderful location. With a few minor fixes, it could be truly exceptional. We'd certainly recommend it to other dog-loving adventurers who don't mind a touch of rusticity, especially considering the thoughtful welcome snacks and proximity to town.

Great Visit

This was the second time I stayed in this cottage. We loved it both times. The host was wonderful and responded very quickly to any questions. Very easy walk to downtown and the waterfront. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a visit!!
