Sonoran Sea rental condo

Clean, well maintained condo and resort property. Restaurant on site is fantastic, I recommend the tortilla soup.

Great place. I'll be back

I found the hotel to be very clean, quiet, and nice. Nice beach. We were there the end of Feb so it was not busy. I like that. The spare guest room only had a Murphy bed which didn't seem that comfortable. That's my only complaint.

Fiesta and Siesta!

The apartment was very clean. The appliances were modern and new. The view from the balcony was perfect. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night, Easter weekend. Both days, a mariachi band played on the beach. The music was fun and added to the vacation vibe. The band played about four hours, but were done by about dinner time. The bar at the pools plays music too and at times, everyone sings along. Despite all the merry music making and singing, it was silent by 10:15 PM. The apartment is well insulated from noise. If you close the patio doors, the sounds are very muted, and if you open them after 10:30 PM all you hear are the sounds of waves. It was a nice mix of fiesta and siesta.

Great place

I loved this place. It wad easy check in and checkout. Restraunts walking distance or full kitchen. Burritos, tortillas, tamales delivered right on the beach are delicious. Fun place.

Murphy Bed

The second bedroom had a Murphy bed in the second bedroom. Our guests were very unhappy because it was very uncomfortable. There was also a 2 inch foam pad on top of the mattress that slid around the bed creating a two inch gap as they were sleeping. There was no mention of a Murphy bed only a queen bed They were not happy and we were embarrassed

Great location, could use more inside the unit

The property manager that we worked with was fantastic. The communication was top notch. The location of this property was wonderful as the view of Sandy Beach was gorgeous and breathtaking. The unit itself was bare minimum which was difficult. No spices whatsoever, 2 rolls of extra toilet paper, one roll of paper towels. In previous VRBO's we have stayed at, things like spices, salt/pepper, are there and stocked. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the great communication from the owner. The view was great and we loved that we were able to walk to Banditos from our resort.

Great time but could have been equipped better

The property was clean and ready for us, and the location couldn't be beat. The amenities on site are wonderful. We had our family of 5 and were counting on having 2 king beds as the description mentioned but the second bedroom only had a queen. Fortunately there was a pull out sofa bed but it was terribly dysfunctional, uncomfortable, and there were no extra blankets or pillows. We made due with what we had none the less. I found the property to be adequate for being able to rent out but personally I felt it was the absolute bare minimum. We've enjoyed rentals that are more well thought out and equipped with things such as paper towels or napkins, kitchen towels, shampoo etc, extra bedding, functional beach accessories ( the umbrella was not functional ). All in all it did not suck, but there is room for improvement.

Great Family Getaway

My family of 5 had a fantastic time here! We're used to staying at another resort, but this one was definitely aimed more for kids. The building is super close to the beach, which was less rocky than some of the other resorts, and the pool was the highlight of the trip. Kids loved the water slide, adults loved the bar service! The condo itself was decently large and extremely comfortable, and the balcony had an amazing view! We would definitely book here again!

We will be back!

Great stay, clean comfortable unit, staff are friendly, weather was awesome, just what the family needed! Only suggestion is to have a document in unit that tells renter about WiFi access, how to turn on water heater and control the nest thermostat (as heat kept coming on and w/out passcode we could not adjust settings).

Awesome stay!!

Brooke was awesome and communicates very well!! The room had everything we needed and if we forgot anything the market provided by the resort was very helpful! Rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious perfect for a bigger family to get together and spend quality time together!!

Great condo + great views = paradise at the beach

The condo is in excellent condition. Everything was in top shape and just like Mrs Hernandez (owner) described. There were three of us (two adults and a child) and we were all very happy. Looking forward to staying again. Would like to add that booking through VRBO was super easy. And the Sonoran Sea staff was very accommodating (if booking through VRBO do remind the resort at check-in that you already paid the deposit).

Incredible View and Location

Very comfortable with all the required amenities. Brooke is a fantastic communicator and responded very quickly to any questions or concerns that we may of had. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone who is considering a stay in Puerto Penasco!
