Heron är en vacker och nyrenoverad chic strandstuga med bekväm och sofistikerad inredning. Alla våra stugor är nymålade och har nya plankegolv och har alla nya möbler för att göra din vistelse perfekt. Gå in i stugan genom din privata skärmad i Lanai och känna det öppna utrymmet i kombinationen matsalar och vardagsrum. Heron har ett komplett kök med diskmaskin. Alla våra stugor har genomtänkta och unika detaljer i hela vägen, från belysning till kustkonsten på väggarna. Detta är en fantastisk stuga att uppleva "gamla Sanibel" charm. Perfect Getaway

This cottage was clean, convenient and comfortable for all of us! We loved being able to walk to the beach without driving and we also enjoyed the grill!

Great location in Sanibel

Very clean, nicely decorated, roomy, comfortable bed and pillows, basic necessities, beach towels, beach chairs and collapsible beach wagon. Great location to Bowman’s Beach and the best shelling beaches. Would stay with them again.

Not able to go due to hurricane and property damage.. no refund or credit!

We were unable to use our rental because it suffered damage from the most recent hurricane. I reached out to the host, Breakaway Vacation properties, not to request a refund, but to ask for a credit to use at the same property once it was repaired: I was told that the rental company does not issue any credit based on the contract. We are now out over 1000.00 We were unable to take our vacation , and lost a lot of money. I understand that Sanibel island was devastated by the storm.. I was not expecting g s refund.. just little curtesy . I will book at hotels from now on where I k ow a refund is guaranteed due to severe weather events. I will never book through VRBO again .

No property to stay at due to storm damage. Would not change date of reservation in any way. Kept our money without providing lodging.

Great property!

I love this cottage! Clean and plenty of room for 8 of us! there is onsite coin op laundry that was clean. A nice shell washing station is on site. there are plenty of bicycles for available for use as well as shelling equipment. The beach is just 3 min bike ride away. The neighborhood is quite and very clean. This is our second stay at this location and would love to stay there again!

To many things were wrong.

At first glance the property seemed good, then one thing after another went wrong. All the dishes and silverware were put away dirty. The oven didn’t work. A/c wasn’t cooling well. One in the bedroom would shut off randomly. No hot water in the second bathroom and ants in the first bathroom. I called the emergency line for the property manager and was told they would call for someone to come and fix the air, no one came the first night and I had to call again the next day for help. They sent maintenance and said the problem was resolved but it wasn’t. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Fantastic!! Highly Recommend!

We absolutely loved this cottage. It was super cute, and very charming. We especially loved the location, and the beach parking/access tag! Would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend. My kids (2 & 4) loved chasing all of the lizards and we loved that it was not right on the street so they could play!

Great little cottage

Enjoyed our stay in 1 Heron. Quiet, clean cottage only about 1/4 mile walk or bike ride to the beach. Enjoyed using the bikes to do some geocaching and exploring the island. Only a couple of miles from the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. Enjoyed a drive through and also rode our bikes there. Also recommend the evening cruise with Tarpon Bay Explorers. And give Captain Andy a call to set up a private fishing charter!

Over night stay

We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. We felt that the place needed painting and a few updates, but it was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed.

Cute cottage

Nice place, good location, minor annoyances like a broken screen door and coffee filters that were not the right size. Staff were very friendly and communication was good.

Nice for an evening

A nice place for one evening. We weren’t there long enough to explore but after checking out we visited J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and enjoyed that, the walk and the drive. The second bedroom is only accessible inside through the master bedroom which wasn’t clear in the listing although it does have an outside door.

Periwinkle Heron

The property is further from town so it’s great for a peaceful getaway with an easy 1 block walk to a gorgeous beach. The kids enjoyed pelican and dolphin watching. And it’s a perfect spot for biking into Ding Darling!

Nice place

Despite terrible communication across multiple platforms before booking, we booked anyway. And even though the communication was still mostly poor during the stay, we had a great time!! I would definitely book again. Normally first thing I do at a hotel is read the info binder, and I neglected to do that here, which would have solved several of my issues the first few days. :) So I would highly recommend reading the book, and highly recommend booking this place. Keep in mind it is not a short walk to the beach, it's long and hot and the wagon we used was veeeeery difficult to pull. The next beach trip we used the bikes which was better. But the umbrella for the unit was missing the part that sticks in the ground. Someone in another review complained about the sink being too small but it was fine for us and no other complaints!!! The unit was perfect and we were happy.

No see ums!!!!!!

Place was nice, need more supplies. More toilet tissue, more then two wash clothes, not enough for two people for a week! Frig needs a light bulb, curtain on entrance doors need to be rehung and blinds in bedroom missing some louvres. Cabinets in kitchen need to be clean on the outside, very dirty.

Heron 1

Great location for exploring both Sanibel and Captiva. Cozy location, enjoyed our stay. Cabins are cute and clean. Beach is incredible, it is at the end of the street and a path back. Bikes were nice to have and beach gear! Some of the gear was more than gently used and could be replaced. However,overall for our get away it worked. Definitely recommend fishing with Captain Andy as recommended! Great time. Would be fun to rent the entire set of cabins with friends.
