Great Property, ok Unit

We have a large group that has been coming to Sea Coast Gardens for 35+ years. The updates that Sea Coast Gardens has done over the past couple of years are great. This unit though was underwhelming. Some low cost updates to replace the 2nd bedroom overhead light/fan and cookware is necessary. Get a storm door or improve the door locking/code situation. Everything else was acceptable. I will probably avoid this unit for future trips.

The property itself is nice, good location and nice pools. The condo we rented was outdated with leaking pipes under the kitchen sink which had a bowl catching the water that was full upon arrival, the only reason we figured it out was after washing out cups, water was running out of the cabinet. The condo is ok but very basic and kind of run down.

The condo smelled, the dishes were dirty, the patio furniture was old and dirty, there was mold on the shower curtain and the furniture is dated.

Coming from a resort area as we did we didn’t expect things to be Hilton Head Island standard, but we did expect more. Upon arrival all the return ducts were coated in thick dust. There was the last guests hair still stuck to the walls in the back bedroom bathroom, weird white powder all over the bathroom “floor mat,” and random trash still left behind. The nicotine chew pack stuck to the floor in the living room next to the chair was second to the black microbial growth on the damp pull out bed from the couch. The two forks in the unit made it hard for us and the kids to eat together, but the half working toaster made it so they didn’t have waffles at the same time anyway. The deadbolt not engaging properly left my wife unsettled at night with the kids in the condo in an unfamiliar area. The walls have nails sticking out from old pictures just painted over. Out of what I assume is the owner being cheap. The paint just layered over top of the hinges and towel rack was comical. Looking out the blinds was enjoyable after you wiped off the layers of dust. Lucky for our son who’s got allergies with that stuff we had an air purifier. The first morning we got back from baseball were told the parking pass was last years expired pass and it’s lucky we didn’t get towed. The overall property itself including the pools and beach access was the best part. The kids had a great time. Just wish more love and care was taken of the place. Glenn showed up when he said he would to try to help

The condo was in disrepair and felt like it was owned by a lawyer ready to hold me financially responsible for every little thing. There were literally labels everywhere saying what we’d be held financially responsible for. The AC was supposedly going to break if we did anything they didn’t like, yet the front door was such that you could see daylight all the way around it due to lack of it sealing. Everyone we plugged something in there would be sparks. The light switch in the bathroom was shorting out. Every closet had piles of stuff in the bottom. There were not enough towels for our party of 5 to take showers, yet again labels everywhere stating our financial responsibility if any towels or linens were missing. The doorknobs were broken making it difficult to get into rooms. The filter in the refrigerator is so clogged up it took forever to get water. The “heated pool” was full of sand and definitely not heated. Communication with the company was difficult. Getting to the beach was a pain, there is no access from this particular complex.

Amazing!

Great value, seconds from the beach, pool and property amenities! A much better option than Air BB and VRBO who had ridiculous fees and terms! Lots of natural light, great view, and in home amenities! Don’t change and I will see you once a year!

Wonderful location!!

This unit was a perfect location literally steps to a beautiful white sandy beach!! However a few minor updates would have made our stay much more pleasant! The double bed in the 2nd bedroom is terrible- a new mattress would do it wonders! A quick fix to the electrical outlet in the master bathroom (the only outlet in there) would have been preferable to a sign posting that the outlet doesn’t work :( They did accommodate and bring us additional towels, as only 4 were there and 5 of us were staying there. And a few more beach chairs would have been nice, as I mentioned there were 5 of us and only one beach chair. Like I said, perfect location, nice condo just a few updates would have made it a great stay!

It was great!

I loved how close we were to the beach! It was so nice. The only hickup was we didn’t have enough brackets left in our condo. They fixed it after a couple days thou! I would def come back!!

Wonderful start to 2024!

This New Smyrna beachfront condo was very welcoming, with comfortable furniture, a well appointed kitchen, and great layout! We spent a lot of time on the south facing balcony, overlooking the 2 large pools & 2 kiddie pools, and enjoying an amazing view of the ocean! The condo is in a nice location, with restaurants and groceries a short drive, many within walking distance. There was construction going on while we were there, but this didn't affect our stay at all-respectfully done. Our only disappointment - no pool was heated, as stated in the ad. A real shame to have such beautiful pools, and not be able to use. Otherwise, a great stay in a lovely condo -would definitely stay again!

Completely Acceptable

This condo is fine. The location is great. Vacasa is super easy to deal with. And the condo is a great place to sleep while enjoying the beach. The price was great for beach access on a really nice beach. It is quite small. The furniture and decor are dated and super basic. There are extra towels and extra blankets and enough toilet paper to get a family through the week which is much appreciated. The kid room beds are definitely for kids and our 10 year old was probably too big for the top bunk- he shook the whole frame when he rolled over. I think a few things would help this rental tremendously - mounting the TV's so we didn't have to store our bags on the floor. Hooks in the bedrooms and more hooks in the bathroom. Between shower towels, beach towels, and wet swimsuits, we found it extremely difficult to get anything dry and had to use hangers in the closets. We would probably stay again because we don't need anything fancy and we loved the location. We watched a SpaceX launch from the beach, saw beautiful moonrises, and enjoyed the heated pool and beach access (there are temporary steps at the south corner of the complex now so we didn't have to go to another condo building for beach access).

Awesome Condo

Everything about the place was amazing! They had 2 huge pools, the house was furnished with everything you need for your family! It’s on a perfect location right one the beach. The only thing why we didn’t give it a 5 star was because the TV wouldn’t work and when we did get it to turn on, we couldn’t change the channel. Maybe some instructions would be nice besides the one on the back of the remote. Other than that we had a BLAST! My dad absolutely LOVED IT TOO! đŸ˜đŸ€™đŸœđŸ–

Perfect condo for our family

This condo was just what we needed for a week in New Smyrna. The layout was perfect for our family - we have three daughters, so a room with a bunk bed plus another bed was great! We always appreciate condos that cater to families with more than two kids. The unit was as described and had all the necessities. It’s always nice to start the week with paper products and ways to wash the dishes. We loved the pools and shuffleboard at the complex. And bonus that it’s on the non-driving beach.
