PERFECT FOR ME

I usually stay with my children in St.Augustine but this time I was looking for a quiet place to stay. Maureen’s place was perfect. Quiet. Maureen seemed to be always there at the right time. Her breakfast was sweet and fresh. Loved the NO TV in the room. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic host in a great location

Maureen's property is in an great location for people who want to be close to downtown St. Augustine while having a little distance from the hustle and bustle.The accomodations are cozy and the breakfast is wonderful. Maureen's Irish soda bread is the star of the show. The best part of our stay was Maureen herself. She had great recommendations for what to see and what to avoid. She's a wealth of knowledge about St. Augustine history and a great storyteller. When we ran into car problems, Maureen checked in to make sure we were okay and the drove us to pick up a new car battery. We couldn't have asked for a kinder host.

Charming and quaint

Lovely spot with thoughtful personal touches everywhere. Bed is super comfortable, and the host Mauteen and her hospitality are incomparable. One evening, having left early that morning to go sightseeing, we returned late expecting the house in darkness as we had not left a light on. But instead we were welcomed back to the porch lit up by candlelight!@the lit on.

Our short stay

We had a quick trip to look at houses. The place was nice and relaxing. Maureen was a great host. The fresh fruit, warm bread and hot coffee each morning was such a treat. Great local walking trail. Great location for a short ride to the beach. Recomend the stay.

Good Location

Quite neighborhood and clean. Good proximity to beaches and St. Augustine. The screened in porch was a great place to enjoy the breakfast provided each morning by the host. She was very helpful with suggestions and responsive to any questions. Great hospitality.

The Perfect Stay

This was by far the best homestay experience I've ever had. Maureen is an attentive hostess who respects privacy and keeps the guest quarters immaculately clean. Incidentally, I visited during a warm Spring weekend, and the air conditioning and ceiling fan kept me perfectly cool. Maureen also makes a good cup of coffee. This will definitely be my go-to (when it's available) whenever I visit St. Augustine in future!

Garden sanctuary

Visiting our son and his family in St Augustine, this studio gave us a quiet place to regroup after running around with our grandkids. Breakfast was delicious and always on time.

Loved it

The hostess was very attentive and sweet. We found her while looking for a place to stay while attending our youngest son's wedding. It was easy to find, very clean and cozy. She provided breakfast each morning. Of fruit, bread and tea. We also got to enjoy a lovely little patio room. Very nice and quiet.

St. Augustine Getaway

Property was as advertised, make certain that you read the information before you book. Maureen is very accessible and makes certain that your stay is comfortable. There is no tv, but the internet was very good. Room was very clean and neat. Located in a quiet residential area with walking paths along a river within a few hundred yards. Drive to historic district of St. Augustine is 15-20 minutes and about the same to the beach. Nice breakfast of bread, fruits and coffee served daily on the patio. We had a very pleasant three night stay.

for the St Augustine Historical Society, where I learned the amazing factual histories of the Oldest City....just ask!
My loves are gardening, rookie woodworker, photography, walking through the woods, finding "old stuff" and making it new!
I enjoy making my guests feel at home , with peaceful privacy.
The name "Sunny Goodstreet" was taken from a Judy Collins song.
Named after a shop I owned and also was my Clown name !

My first experiences with Bed & Breakfast, were in England ,Ireland, Scotland.
Lovely warm people, welcomed travelers to their great old homes, up close to
"the natives".
They went out of their way to make guests comfortable, including a breakfast.
I was impressed with the idea of personal service for travelers, versus a sprawling commercial hotel.
It was a dream I tucked away for many years, that finally came to fruition in 2017 in my favorite city, St Augustine.
Offering a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced stop over for interesting travelers!
I have hosted 100+ people from 7 countries. LOVE to hear their stories and share a few of my own!
