Nyligen röstade en av världens mest spännande färjeturer, din resa till San Juan-öarna lovar vacker utsikt över bergen, skogarna och en nära anslutning till havet. Glimtar av Orcaval, Harbor sälar, tumlare och sjölejon är inte ovanliga. Måttliga temperaturer gör öarna idealiska för alla typer av aktiviteter såsom segling, fiske, paddling och vandring. Det finns ingen plats vackrare för rekreation, avkoppling och föryngring.

Njut av spektakulära solnedgångar från däcket på vår vackra hem ligger i den mycket populära Rosario området. Bara 1. 5 miles finner dig vid ingången till Moran State Park med 5 sjöar, vandringsleder och Mt. Konstitutionen. 2 miles i den andra riktningen och du är på stranden på Rosario Resort.

Den öppna planlösning, takfönster, och södra exponering gör detta mycket bekväma och moderna hem ljus och luftig.

Den stora master svit har ett bubbelbad och privat tillgång till västläge däck. Kliv ut på däck och njuta av morgonkaffet. Med ett separat badrum och drottning säng i gästrummet, är detta hem perfekt för två par. Men en ny sovsofa i vardagsrummet kommer att ge en större grupp.

På ditt besök på vårt hem på VACKRA Orcas Island kan du njuta DirecTV på våra två nya High Definition TV. Vi har också en välfylld spelkåpa och urval av DVD-skivor. Höghastighetsinternet med en WiFi-router gör det möjligt för våra gäster att komma åt internet från bekvämligheten i vårt hem eller till och med från den stora, avkopplande däcken.

Djurvänligt !! Även din familj husdjur kommer att känna sig välkomna! Däcktrappan leder till ett inhägnad område för att din hund ska ha lite ledig frihet. Rosario Heights är öppet för besök för en eller två hundar.

Med vårt hem ligger på en lugn privat dödväg, har detta landsbygdsområde och närheten till parken ofta besök från lokala hjortar.

Gå ut genom ytterdörren och i en halv mil är spåret som cirklar Cascade Lake i Moran State Park. Rosario Heights är en underbar plats för vandrare att hänga sina hattar.

Närliggande flera spår huvuden är markerade. Några av parkens spår är tillgängliga för cyklister.

Njut av en badstrand inte 2 miles away.

Du kan också vandra eller köra nerför backen till Rosario Resort för att hitta en strand vid stranden nära Cascade Marina, igen inte 2 miles från Rosario Heights.

Njut av att äta på Mansion Restaurant på Rosario. Förutom denna världsklassrestaurang finns det en otrolig lounge med en separat middagsmeny. Barn är tillåtna i loungen men inte i baren själv.

I närliggande Eastsound finns underbara ställen att njuta av frukost, lunch och middag.

Vacation on Orcas Island

House is in a great location if you like peace and quiet. Bet yet still only 10mins away from main town. Very close to Maron State Park, Rosario Whale Watching.Views are amazing!!

Amazing view!

Our stay in Rosario was perfect and the house had everything we needed. Loved that it was dog friendly, the kitchen was well stocked, and the view was incredible. Loved ending the day grilling out on the deck and watching the sunset.

Perfect getaway

wonderful home! The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. The views off the back deck were amazing ! The house was perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the convenience of the small fenced in area for the dogs.

Great place!

We had a very nice time at this property. It's clean, and it was obvious that all details were thought about for the visitors. Great view from the deck and very quiet and private. Nice place for about four people. Six fit, but hide a bed isn't the best, and if people get up early, those on the hide a bed aren't able to sleep in Recommend for four, but overall a very nice place!

We all loved this home! It was clean, beautiful, spacious, had a beautiful layout, and was in a great location by Moran State Park. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and responsive, which just added to the overall positive experience. We were so sad to have to leave and will be back!

Wonderful ocean views

Stayed for four nights beginning of October. Had a great stay. Loved that everything was on one floor!!Well equipped kitchen. Lovely view of ocean & a deck for spending many hours. The dogs loved the yard & the deck for "watching things that dogs watch"!! Loved the accessibility to hikes; very short drive of 5 min. or less. Nice walk around the Lake. Hope to return next fall!!

Orcas Anniversary

Nice spacious 2 bedroom house with a view! Nice and quiet neighborhood. Open space living/kitchen/dining room, large new deck, and a large master bedroom/bath with jacuzzi tub. Dog allowed with a fenced in area right off the deck. Moran State Park just up the hill with waterfall sights and the highest peak of the islands...more spectacular views! Wish we could have had more time. Very pleasant stay.

Awesome home with beautiful view!

My wife and I spent three nights here with another couple. The home is beautiful, incredibly clean, very functional, and has an amazing view of the water. The beds are incredibly comfortable as well. The setting is private, yet close to town. Unfortunately, rain prevented us from taking advantage of the huge deck and bbq, but we had a great time nonetheless. The house is very close to Moran State Park, hiking trails, lakes, kayaking; just about everything you could hope for in a vacation rental. We were blessed with a wonderful vacation! Thank you Rick & Alexandra for sharing your home with us!

Better than what the homeowner described!!

My family and I came out to visit the San Juan Islands in May. This home was beautiful in everyway. The owner described the home to me in detail, but was pleasanty surprised when it was so much more than he said. The ambiance and setting was magnificent. Out of the three homes we've stayed in, this home was by far the most beautiful, scenic and memorable. Woods surround the home and it is very private. We were all very thrilled to have stayed here and would love to come back for another visit, for a longer stay. Highly recommended!!!!

True relaxation!

My husband, his mother, and I stayed a week at Rick's and Alexandra's home on Orcas Island. It is a comfortable, clean home with beautiful views of Eastsound. We were able to bring our 2 dogs who enjoyed looking out from the deck to stare at the deer that would walk by. The house is located about 10 minutes from Eastsound which has many stores, galleries, and restaurants. The kitchen was fully stocked (we cooked most of the nights we stayed there). If we had any questions Rick returned our calls promptly. If we ever return to Orcas Is. we would definitely like to stay here again.

Truly a home away from home!

I wanted to thank you for our trip, it was amazing and a big part of it, is due to your lovely home. It is truly a home away from home. Everything was perfect! Your attention to details is uncanny. Also you and your wife could be our friends, your taste in movies and books are so similar to ours, it was funny :) thanks for the French movie selection, I was born in France and enjoy watching film from my country! Orcas was peaceful and a perfect place to relax. We walked the dog at cascade lake and did the loop there, went up Mt Constitution, hiked Obstruction pass, and shopped in Eastsound. We didn't want to leave! We will be back. Thank you again for making your home a perfect place for guests.

Relaxation at its best!

This home is quite secluded above the East Sound of Orcas Island, yet it was a short 15 minute drive to the town of East Sound, where we found many shops and some wonderful restaurants. The home is clean, modern, well equipped, and comfortable, with an open floor plan that allowed easy conversation. Bedrooms - very nice! The kitchen is much larger that pictures make it seem. Very modern laundry facilities. We also enjoyed feeding the deer that would come into the yard in the evenings. They like red apples better than green ones! We saw deer all over the island. Whale watching was awesome! We used Outer Island out of Smuggler's Cove. They quickly found a pod, which we followed for an hour or more before a couple of Dahl porpoises joined the party! We also saw a couple of bald eagles, harbor seals, and about a dozen huge sea lions. We took a casual drive through Crow Valley over to the West Sound and Deer Harbor. We found a quaint little store in Doe Bay where I found some retro toys for my grandkids. Everywhere we went was beautiful. We had fantastic scallops and filet mignon at the Madrona Grill, enjoyed a quite lunch at Rosario, and shared a burger with a lively crowd at the Lower Tavern. All in all, a fantastic trip to Orcas. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay with a beautiful East Sound view.

Just PERFECT!

When we walked in the door, I knew this place was perfect for the two of us (retirement age) and our 7 1/2 year old Weimaraner. Breathtaking view, plenty of space, AMAZINGLY well equipped kitchen, lovely, simple and comfortable décor that sets off the views of the bay and even private wifi, TV (even in the two bedrooms) and free land-line phone calls anywhere in the US. Needless to say, we didn't spend much time watching TV or talking on the phone....too much to explore and enjoy, and we spent as much home-time out on the deck watching the bay, boats, and clouds float by as we did exploring. The day of storm and rain was actually welcome because once again it forced us to just "be" - and still there was nature doing it's thing right outside every window. Our Weim enjoyed visiting the (new) dog park just outside of Eastsound village area, walking some trails in Moran, and the beach hike and swim at Obstruction Pass State Park. She gave the (very small) deer some passing glances but they ignored her so she returned the favor! When we were inside, she spent as much time looking out at the scenery, birds and boats as we did. The owners checked in with us via phone when we arrived, and again the night before we (grudgingly) left - extremely nice and helpful, and we knew we could call them if we had any questions or concerns at all. Thank SOOOOO much! Plan to return - still a lot of the island we never got to. Have to say - it was pretty hard to leave. So peaceful, private, and again - perfect.

A peaceful retreat, with amazing views.

The house is delightfully set up and immaculate. Well stocked kitchen with new dishes, pots and pans and silverware! The deck is phenomenal with a view from all the windows of the sound. Comfortable outdoor furniture.The peacefulness is wonderful. Great birding. Our three year old Labrador loved being there and had an area touse that was fenced. Easy to use appliances, and TV set up for streaming. A bit of a drive to Eastsound and Lake Moran. We hope to come again.

Perfect peace

My husband and I have stayed at VRBOs across the country and this was the best so far. Beautiful house, incredible views, short distance to downtown and Moran State Park, and in the woods where it is so quiet!. Just what we needed!

Perfect Getaway!

We loved our stay in this cozy and comfortable home. The location was perfect – quiet, off the beaten path, and close to Moran State Park and Mount Constitution. The view from the deck was incredible, and we loved having our morning coffee sitting in the swivel chairs by the windows overlooking the water. The beds were comfortable, and Rick and Alexandra had thought of so many extra touches to make our stay more comfortable. Rick was one of the most thoughtful and considerate hosts I’ve ever encountered. I informed him that we would be arriving in the evening, and he gave us wonderful instructions on how to find the house in the dark. We would love to stay here again when we return to Orcas.

Wonderful Stay!

This property is on a beautiful piece of property. The views are gorgeous. Love the picture windows all around the living/dining room so you can see out to those gorgeous views. Checking in/out was super easy. Everything we needed was available. We loved our trip to Orcas Island.

What a delight!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Rick was amazing. He responded promptly to every message, and called to make sure we had everything we needed. Check in was easy. The place was amazing! The view was fabulous. Great location, not far from town. Spacious. Great floor plan for two couples. Spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We sat on the deck every evening enjoying the the beauty of it all, the peace & quiet and said many times...we need to come back here. We've stayed in many rental homes and this is definitely one of the best. Thanks, Rick, for everything.

Relaxing Stay

The property is well located on Orcas, close to parks, hikes, and town. Very quite neighborhood that lends itself well to relaxing and enjoying the spectacular view. By far the most attentive host I have ever dealt with.

Beautiful view with plenty of space

We were a family of 5 staying for spring break. The home has a beautiful deck and had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. It was a great home base and close to Moran State park, Eastsound shopping and restaurants and had beautiful views. The home is very well cared for and would recommend to anyone visiting.

Wonderful stay

The property was wonderful, overlooking the bay with lots of space for the whole family to relax. Our host was extremely communicative and helpful prior, during and after our stay. We enjoyed our time very much.
