Relaxing Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely cabin with beautiful scenery to enjoy at all times of day/night. The river rushing by was calming and a welcomed soundtrack to our weekend away. It was nice to have the fence area for the dog to run around without worry of getting into things she shouldn't. Definitely will keep this on the short list for the next time we want to get away.

It wasn't too horrible as we only went out once a day and spent the rest of our time in/around the cabin. As this was a vacation meant for us to rest and recharge for the New Year, it was overall fantastic!!

Great Pet get away!

Perfect Place to Relax After Day at Ballfield!

We stayed while playing a travel ball tournament. The relaxing sound of the river, quite neighborhood, relaxing drive and sweet cabin made this an amazing stay. Hot tub was just the thing to unwind with. In the morning, the sweet deers were fun to watch. It was just amazing. Ample parking, comfy beds, beautiful views... just amazing.

Wonderful River Retreat

The fenced-in yard was perfect for the dogs, and the easy access to the river allowed for hours of fun in the water. Drinking coffee in the morning from the deck and cocktails in the evening while listening to the sound of the river was so relaxing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Take me to the River. We loved the cozy cabin with all the amenities. They even had things for our 2 dogs! Dog bed, pet sheets, dog towel, poop bags and TREATS. All of us loved this cabin. You could sit on the screened in porch and watch or the river or go fishing. Nice area, nice cabin! We will be back soon.

The cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. The instructions were clear and the cabin was clean. We loved the many deer we say on our drive-in and all around the cabin. While this is not the most luxe of their cabins, it suited us just fine and we would come back.

Take Me To The River - Quiet, Peaceful and Relaxing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the past three years, my wife and I (and our two basset hounds) have stayed at Take Me to the River for a long weekend in November. You couldn’t ask for a better place to relax - or to take nice walks beside the water. The dogs particularly like looking for deer (although they mostly ignore the geese). It’s so quiet and peaceful. We always leave happy and refreshed.

The stairs going to the fenced area was very loose and not attached in some areas. The back yard could have been mowed or weeded. Over all a great place. Being right on the river was fantastic. Wonderful Mini Vacation in a Quiet Peaceful Setting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was more than we could have imagined. The cottage was very neat and clean. The river at our back door and very peaceful sounding. There wasn’t access to the River, but you can enjoy nature and the sound. We had everything we needed. Only brought what food and drinks desired. The indoor pool, puttputt, and entire recreation center was spectacular. Staff was friendly and everything was clean and enjoyable. Driveway was a little bit of a challenge getting out, but made it on the second try! Be prepared to drive deep into the woods for your peaceful retreat. 30 minutes from main gate on winding roads with beautiful views along the way. Overall experience was wonderful and we can’t wait to come back!

I and my fur-baby (Penny) thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and listening to the river.Best thing is that when I got ready to leave, Penny decided that she didn’t want to leave, went under the bed & wouldn’t come out. I sent a cry for help to host and within 2 minutes a very sweet lady (housekeeping) came to the door and offered to help. Ultimately she got Penny out from her hiding place. She even carried her to the car for me! THAT is service above and beyond! I give the cabin and the staff a big 5 stars. Thank you!

RELAXATION

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this beautiful cabin to celebrate a 50th birthday and so was it worth it. We have no complaints about our stay. After 7 days we still did not want to leave. As in other reviews, the deer where abundant and not afraid. The river was so relaxing to look at. We tried our hand at fishing and the only thing we caught was a great time. Unlike other reviews, we had no issue with the internet. We are already looking to see when we can take time to go back.
