När du kommer till Texas Hill Country, varför inte stanna i ... Tja, Hill Country? Texas Star ligger på samma 20 hektar som Guesthaus vid White Tail Oaks och The Hideout, men utom synvinkel. Denna stuga ligger cirka 15 minuter nordväst om centrum av Fredericksburg nära det historiska Cherry Springs-samhället.

Good and bad

Upside: I had the best night sleep of my life! That bed was perfect. I felt more rested after a night of sleep than I can ever remember. Downside: the hot tub was not working the entire weekend, much to our disappointment. There was no shower inside and the tub inside had a bad smell when we first used it. There were some other issues which I've forgotten about, which were overshadowed by the hot tub. Since my wife refuses to book any accommodation without a hot tub, we were overall very disappointed with our stay.

Perfect getaway

A perfect getaway to enjoy the outdoors! This little cabin is a peaceful retreat for couples or small families to get in touch with nature!

Would not stay here again

Decided to try a different cabin this year and that was a mistake. Cabin was dusty everywhere, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed for awhile it looked like. Didn't use jacuzzi it had yucky stuff coming out of the water vents. After a cleaner and 3 more runs. It was gross. The air conditioner vents had mold on it. We won't ever go back to this cabin. The area is so beautiful out there it's a shame it's not kept up.

A Peaceful Stay

Texas Star was the perfect answer to our need for peace and quiet. We loved the cabin, the wildlife that live on the property and the clear sky which allowed us to see so many stars! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Amazing cabin

We LOVED the Texas star. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Next time we will book one more night to get all the benefits of the amazing place. I love the cats that greeted us at the beginning of our stay. I looked in the binder of instructions for the weekend and saw something about cat food but couldn't find any. Given that it was after hours I called and left a message. I'm an animal lover and wanted to make sure all their belly were full if they were keeping us company all weekend. The host texted me and was very quick to respond and tell me that they would get us cat food by the next day. The cabin itself was absolutely amazing. Perfect for a couple trip. We loved waking up to the deer in the yard. Having coffee and a maker was perfect for us. We weren't sure if utensils would be included so we got some on our H-E-B run but come to find out EVERYTHING we needed was provided in the kitchen. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit (burn ban) or the grill but we took advantage of the quiet serene atmosphere and napped whenever we could on the amazingly comfortable bed. The hot tub was fantastic and all the stuff was provided for us. We loved watching the sunset from the back porch in the hot tub. The host was quick to respond when we told them that the jets didn't work in the bathtub but that was minor compared to the amazing thing I just talked about above. We will be back in the future and look forward to our next visit.

Perfect little cabin

Everything about this cabin was wonderful! Loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Bed was super comfy as was everything about this place. I recommend bringing your own firewood like we did if you plan to use the fire pit. We also brought our griddle to fix breakfast and that worked perfect. Lots of kitchen supplies, but there is only a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot inside. We did dinner on the grill and it was great. There are lots of sweet kitties here, which we enjoyed very much, but if you don’t like cats or are allergic, you might not like that. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back again.

Weekend Getaway

We loved our stay here. Very beautiful property that had everything we were looking for when looking to stay out of the city. Lots of great photo opportunities so that was another thing we enjoyed. Would certainly stay here again for another getaway.

Hill Country Getaway

This is a great place to just unwind. About 20 minutes outside of Fredericksburg, close enough to day trip and far enough from crowds.

Secret Getaway

We found out we are expecting our first baby 2 days before we arrived. Everything about the cabin made our “before work gets busy” turned “celebrating our little secret for the next 2 months” getaway perfect. We loved feeding the kitties and wildlife, enjoyed having no wifi/spotty service to truly disconnect from the world for a bit, and loved taking cool showers outside after a long hot day. It’s a peaceful slice of the world and we will for sure be back!

Secluded and quiet lil cabin

We had a great time. Owner came and got ac up and running. Cabin was super clean and ready to go! Outdoor hot tub and shower were nice addition. Easy to get to town and quiet at night. Great opportunity to reconnect . Lovely

Needs work

Needs better ac unit I know it's hot , but over 24 hours into to stay to get cool. Hot tub didn't work. When we first arrived we were checking shelves to see what we needed to buy found a container of leftovers with noodles and some kind of rotten mold covered meat . The back of TV covered in dust wouldn't notice accept you have to turn TV away from wall to see from love seat. The cabin is beautiful but other things detract from that.

Besides the fact of no indoor shower and a poor grill set up the only complaint would be how dusty it was in the cabin . House keeping definitely doesn't dust anything. Witch for people with allergies made it rough .

Very disappointed

My wife and I have stayed here a few times and it was always amazing. This time there were several issues that really disappointed us. Cleanliness is not acceptable, old band aid in the shower, moldy milk cartons in the jar, hot tub water was green and desperately needed changing, table was dirty, leaves in the room, and dead flies on the window sills. Also the wooden step broke and I fell. The wooden frame is rotten and dangerous.
