Namnet Whale of a View säger allt! Denna unika och väldigt charmiga, två våningar getaway ger en fantastisk 180-graders utsikt över Stilla havet från övre och nedre däck samt inifrån hemmet. Du hittar också ett rymligt kök komplett med rostfria vitvaror, plus en matplats och bostadsyta värms av en eldstad. Whale of a View är verkligen ett hem där du är säker på att göra fantastiska semesterminnen med din familj, vänner och till och med familjens hund.

Vad finns i närheten:
Strandsträckor, alla som väntar på att utforskas, kan nås precis nerför gatan från detta hem. Boiler Bay Scenic Viewpoint och Fogarty Creek State rekreationsområde är båda bra platser att besöka, strax söder om detta hem. Depoe Bay ligger bara tre mil söder om Highway 101 och erbjuder roliga butiker och restauranger. Det är också hem till "världens minsta hamn." Tillbringa en dag med att utforska staden, ta en rundtur med valskådning eller hoppa ombord på en stadga för lite djuphavsfiske.

Ocean Walks

Clean and cute home. The circular , narrow, staircase to the main level would be hard if you are older or have bad knees. We enjoyed our stay. Well decorated and so clean. Can’t beat the price and good location. Takes about ten minutes to walk to the beach.

Quite Neighborhood with a VIEW!

We loved this place! You could see the OCEAN from almost every window, the upper floor view was amazing. Beds are great and the kitchen had pretty much anything you would have needed. Loved this property and hope to stay again.

The View!

It was stormy all weekend and the view of the "angry" ocean was fabulous! We enjoyed quilting and watching the waves.

Great view w some issues

Pros - - Great view, short walk to be beach access Cons - Downstairs heat did not work at all. It was freezing. This was a known issue that we were not informed of. - The downstairs is unusable as the cold water does not work so it is scolding. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. This was also a known issue that we were not informed of. - Dirty bedding on downstairs bed including makeup on pillowcases - Missing simple kitchen amenities like a cutting board (not the wooden one no one should be using these days) - Lack of lights in the house Overall, you’re paying for the location. The house is cute but needs some attention badly. Disappointing.

Truly A Whale of A View

THE VIEW IS INCREDIBLE! This home was clean, smartly decorated and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet with a very short walk to the beach. The beaches were clean, uncrowded and miles and miles of sand. We watched whales from the deck every day. We ate and shopped in Depoe Bay, Lincoln City and Newport. Everything was close and easy. I would highly recommend this spot and hope to return again.

Beautiful View!

The view was perfect. Beach access was a short walk. Nice neighborhood. Kitchen had EVERYTHING a cook would need. Communication with the owner was friendly and quick. The only negative was it was HOT due to no AC and did not cool off at night. Of course, weather is no fault of anyone but just so you are informed...bring fans! We would stay here again.

Best beach with best view

We stayed for 4 nights for a sisters get away without kids. Woo hoo! Perfect place to relax, chat, laugh, and explore. This cute house had the best beach view from the deck. A bit dated, but has a cozy welcoming vibe. Would definitely stay again.

Great views!

Fantastic view and great piece of property with an easy walk to the beach through a cute neighborhood. 6 of us stayed comfortably with enough dishes, chairs, couches, towels, toiletries, etc for everyone. Dog friendly, thankfully, because we brought our dog, but it didn't smell like dogs had been there, nor did we see any dog hair on any furniture, so it was very clean. It is outdated, which could put some people off, but the furniture and decor were very beachy, which was a fun vibe, and I think it was very well priced for the view and location. All 6 of us had a great stay and would happily stay again!

Your Ocean Experience

This is a unique house and provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The views are amazing. If you have trouble with stairs, the spiral stairs might be challenging.

Amazing View

Loved the amazing panoramic view of the ocean. You could hear the waves. Easy access to the beach (as long as you can walk down a steep slop to the beach). Short drive to town. Beds were very comfortable. Nicely decorated with an interesting design (kind of like a lighthouse).

Average with great views

The views were amazing and I can see why they named this property A Whale of a View. The property was just as expected with the pictures. However, this was not a toddler friendly place. As soon as we walked in the carpet was soaked. I can tell they just shampoo the carpet given the chairs upstairs were put up on the table. Which i appreciate the extra cleanliness, but it would have been nice to not have to walk around and go up the stairs with wet carpet during our stay. Additionally, hazardous chemicals were within reach of a toddler and left down below such as: dishsoap, dishwasher tablets, etc. There was a broken light bulb outside on the upper deck which the broken glass is still on the light string. We hung it out of the way. There was also rusted nails by the front entrance next to the outlet.

A great stay!

What a cozy spot. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for cooking, plenty of comfy seating, and 2 wonderful decks. We loved spending the mornings and evenings on the upper deck, perfect for whale watching (we saw several) and ocean gazing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine! So close to beach access which was perfect for my 2 year old. The home was very clean when we arrived apart from the carpet which is pretty badly stained in several spots. The Icky carpets were a disappointment upon arrival and the reason for leaving a 4 star review. Otherwise everything else was great and the Vacasa team was wonderful about checking in on us and were easy to communicate with. I would still recommend this spot to others and would stay again.

The location can’t be beat

View is amazing, the sound of the the waves can be heard from the home, the neighborhood is quiet, and the beds are comfy. We saw whales and seals from the upstairs deck, it was incredible! Unfortunately, though, especially for this price point, unless the flooring is updated we won’t be staying here again. When we entered we were instructed to remove shoes by a sign. We did so and then proceeded to walk through wet carpet stains. The upstairs smelled as though there may have been urine in the carpet. Even the dry part of the carpet was really stained and gross looking. When I mentioned this on the cleaning survey the following day, a maintenance person contacted me but at that point there wasn’t anything to be done. The customer service was great, so no complaints there. We chose to eat out for most of our meals and when I did use the kitchen toward the end of our stay, I noticed all but one of the large frying pans have deeply scratched Teflon surfaces, so they definitely need replacement. The interior staircase is spiral, and our dog refused to use it, so we spent a lot of time downstairs. There is an exterior staircase that hugs the outside of the building, so she was able to go upstairs but it wasn’t as convenient. The downstairs recliners are pretty beat up and torn in some areas, but still comfortable. Between the 2 first aid kits in the house, they were empty other than some gauze, we were looking for a bandaid. Aside from the carpet, the place is quirky but great.
