Komplexet kommer att reparera havsväggen från början av juni 2019. Räknar med att konstruktionen ska vara aktiv mellan 1 juni och möjligen 1 september. * Reparation av havsväggen kommer troligen att vara högt arbete med tunga maskiner. Arbetstiderna är måndag-fredag 8-17 men tungt / högt arbete kommer inte att börja förrän efter 9:00. En del av parkeringsplatsen kommer också att blockeras, men det borde inte utgöra ett annat parkeringsproblem än du kanske måste gå längre till lägenheten.

Incredible view for whale watching!

This was a very nice property and the view is spectacular! That alone made it worth every dime. So many whales!!!It really needs the addition of a mini-split A/C system. It offered a single rolling A/C unit that can only be vented where it sits in the living area. It doesn’t cool the bedroom. If you don’t mind sleeping in mid to upper 70 degree temps, it likely won’t be an issue. There is a slatted-glass window next to the sliding glass door. The steel lever that allows for opening and closing was broken off, so the unit has a window open 24/7. We toughed out the warm temps that first night and woke up to the yard maintenance being performed. We knew we needed to seal it off to cool down the place, but to keep the yard dust out too, so we headed to the hardware store and bought painter’s tape and plastic to seal it off from the outside. It helped, but we still had to sleep on the foldout couch for comfortable sleeping temps. We did not request service since the plastic fixed it well enough for us and we wouldn’t feel like we needed to hang around while we waited for someone to address the issue.

Little Paradise

This was our third time staying there. We love it, and have made many friends in the area. The ocean is right there, and you can see the turtles popping up for air right out your window. You can also the see the whales in the distance in the winter months. It is within walking distance to a Whaler's store, (convenience store) if you're okay without a side walk, and close to restaurants and a few shops. Not the best place for kids, we would say it's more suited to adults, due to no railing on the sea wall.

Location was amazing.

This property is in a perfect location. 20 feet from the ocean. We left owner with a few recommendations for updating and improving the unit, minor stuff, but we would go back in a heartbeat. You won’t be disappointed. Location, location, location.

Great value

No complaints for what it cost. Location is great. View is spectacular. Very quiet. On the downside, the bathroom needs a lot of work and the louevred windows need repair. The place could also use a deep clean, a new couch, and pillows that aren't all extra firm. If they also add actuall AC rather than a swamp cooler and a dozen fans, they could probably charge more.

You cannot find a better spot!

Unique spot right on the water with turtles near the shore! Very well équiped apartment with all you need, including cooler, chairs, foil and soaps for everything. Very confy. We talked to neighbours to find out where the laundry was.excellent rental for West Maui!

Fantastic Location

We had a great stay at the property. The location is fantastic and views were incredible. Watching the sunset every evening from the comfort of the patio was the highlight of our trip. Our only qualm was that the listing stated there was AC, but there was only a portable unit in the living room that couldn't be felt if you weren't within 10 feet of the machine. All of the fans were nice to have but the bedroom was warm as we stayed during the month of July. I would recommend either putting an AC unit in the bedroom or changing the description. Thanks for a great stay, host was incredibly responsive. We would come back!!

Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I truly enjoyed out stay! It was so great to wake up every morning and enjoy breakfast on the patio and listen to the ocean. We saw many sea turtles right out our door. It was great to have a kitchen. We loved that there were beach chairs, a beach umbrella and beach towels for us to use. We also really appreciated the two fans in the bedroom and the air conditioner in the main living space. Thank you for a great stay!

Live Kahana Reef

We have stayed at Kahana Reef three times and love the location. This unit is a ground floor which we like. I felt the management company was very prompt when things came up. They also left laundry detergent and dryer sheets, which was a nice plus there was also snorkel equipment available. I felt that the posting saying it was recently remodeled, was not quite accurate as it seems like it’s been some time since that actually happened, these units get a lot of use and it definitely felt a little tired. It was not 100% clean when we arrived there was hair in the shower drain and on the wall and I think the bathroom drawers should be wiped out. I also think they should replace the hairdryer and the lanai furniture both were pretty old. We really like Kahana reef because it’s very laid-back and we’ve met a lot of nice people who are around our age which is retiree age. The grounds are nice too.

Quiet Relaxing Get Away

Kahana Reef Maui paradise

Wonderful experience here with our stay. Priced appropriately, given size, ammenities, and location. Patio off the living room, with views of ocean, islands and water front were amazing and where my wife and I spent most of our time when home. Bed was comfortable, place was clean, and provided a great home base during our visit to Maui. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Great place to stay!!

This place is one of a kind. Very beautiful view even though we stayed on the ground floor. We were right by the bbq, and the pool. The sea wall had turtles every single day feeding off of it. We also saw other ocean life right off of the property. Our kids are 4 & 6 and they loved the pool. However the rules of the pool made it a bit challenging to have fun, but many guests and residents were happy to let my kids just play and be kids. Some still wanted silence, which we respected and went to the beach. Check in was super easy and the unit was fairly clean. There was one hick up with bedding not being clean, however I only mention it to say that the owner and staff rectified it that day and were very happy to assist us with any other cleaning issues. We would not hesitate to stay here again and we have stayed on the south side of the island as well. This would be a great place to host a family vacation, couples retreat or even a solo trip. Great condo!

Maui Kahana Reef

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this pretty and clean ground level suite. We were just feet away from the sea wall on one side and the private beach on the other. The property was beautiful. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else or in a different suite. Upon arrival we had trouble accessing the suite but the Property Manager was immediately responsive and helped us learn the process to open the two locks on the main door. He checked in later to ensure everything was working and asked us to let him know if we needed anything at anytime. Excellent customer service! Thank you.

Hanging with the Turtles and the Whales

Fabulous view of the turtles and the whales. We loved meeting the other guests on the property. One downfall, we felt a little uncomfortable due to having to wait so long for a response from the property managers. There is no front desk on the property to go to ask questions, which we are used to having when we've stayed on other properties. However, the two maintenance people that came in to replace the DVD player in the main room and the TV in the bedroom were very courteous. We stayed two weeks and only received one dish rag and one dish towel. Also, only two sets of regular bath towels. So plan on bringing your own unless you want to spend your vacation time doing a lot of laundry at their coin laundry facility that is on site. Bring quarters too, no change machine. We also received only 1 serving of coffee, so plan on grocery shopping right away. Even when you stay more than one week, you get the "minimum ammenities". (Say that 3 times fast)! :) The bed and bedding was super comfortable, and the hide-a-bed was very comfortable to sit on, which most are not. The reason we marked it down for cleanliness was, the edges of the floor hadn't been cleaned in quite a while, and we found a piece of broken glass in the kitchen. (Also there was a 3 inch centipede crawling around in the bedroom when we arrived, we saved him and gave him a new home outside.) We chose this place because it had air conditioning, however it is a Pinguino unit attached to the louver windows in the living room only. It worked well the keep the main room cool. The bedroom had three fans to keep it cool. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and the area.

Beautiful location

Lovely location. Convenient to Kapalua, Lahaina and Kaanapali. Can walk to places to eat. It’s that the AC in a unit in the living area and the bedroom doesn’t have AC. Ceiling fans and opening windows at night did the trick.

Old mattress with large middle sinkhole

The mattress of the bedroom was so old that it has a sinkhole as large as a giant watermelon. I called the managing company 3 times and they never called back, never show up like they said they would. Contacted VRBO too and they said they can send a message to the managing company but they can’t do anything about it themselves. We ended up sleeping on the floor :/

Relaxing and away from the crowd

We had a wonderful time at Kahana Reef. Every evening was a relaxing time, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sunset. It was nice to come back after a day of touring the island to our comfortable and quiet place at Kahana Reef.
