The apartment is situated in the heart of the city, on Våci Utca, within the Historic City Centre, renowned for its prime pedestrian zone, just 100 meters from the majestic River Danube. This was a great apartment in a perfect location. It was very large and decorated tastefully with the owner’s own art. Building had lots of character which added to Budapest vibe! Owner was super to deal with and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay their again

It was a nice very large apartment. It was very convenient to the Metro (one line straight to train station) as well as grocery stores and restaurants. Kitchen was nice and easy to use.Check in was explained in detail.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment in Budapest. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to all the wonderful restaurants and sights. The furnishings were comfortable and welcoming, and the apartment was spotless when we arrived.Check-in was very easy, and communication with the owner was excellent throughout our stay. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches that made it feel like home especially Tom’s artwork. We also appreciated recommendations for restaurants. A hand bar in the tub/shower area would be a helpful addition, but overall, this is a delightful place to stay when visiting Budapest. Highly recommend!

Tomas the host greeted us at arrival and showed us how everything worked. This is a 10 out of 10 property. It is a well cared for unit with a comfortable bed. It has a small balcony for happy hour wine or morning coffee. The location is central to everything. We like to walk and could walk to most things we wanted to see. There is a grocery store located just a few blocks away and so many restaurants located nearby. Would highly recommend staying here for your time in Budapest.

We had an amazing time. The apartment is fabulous and perfectly located for sight seeing. Tom was the perfect host - very communicative. He gave us many tips for places to eat and also organised a private taxi trim the airport and back again. Would totally recommend. Pat & Jonny from Ireland.

Great time in Budapest

My friend and I were spending a short time in Budapest and both Tom and the apartment were fantastic - Tom was so sweet and had a huge list of recommendations for food and things to do.The apartment was beautiful and the balcony was perfect for sitting on in the mornings to eat breakfast and look out on the street. I'd definitely book this apartment again the next time I'm in Budapest.

Great stay in Budapest

The Budapest apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and convenient to transportation & attractions. My wife & I had a great time there. Tom was a very helpful & pro-active host. Great information regarding location, check-in, transportation, and local area prior to arrival. He arranged transportation to/from airport for us as well. He had excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do. He was also very quick to answer questions during our stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Very beautiful, stylish, decorated with flair apartment in the heart of the city. Everything is within walking distance. Budapest Beauty

It was such a pleasure staying at this apartment in Budapest. The location was ideal, lots to do and see within walking distance and a train station close by. Many restaurants and bakeries in the area. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable for the two of us with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Tom, our host, was wonderful, arranging transport to and from the airport and giving us recommendations on activities that would be of interest to us. We had a great time in Budapest and enjoyed the accommodation.

We have just got back from four magical days in budapest, staying at this brilliant apartment. The place is fantastic, and Tomas is a very good host who can tell you places to visit. Its location is fantastic, in a beautiful old building with an icecream shop at the bottom. Convenient! Honestly, look no further, this is the place to go.

An Excellent home

Great location. Spacious. Comfortable double and sofa beds. Small basic kitchen. Most importantly at the heat wave - a great modern air conditioner. Tom vey helpful. Downsides? A minor - Window shadowing not good enough for those who want to sleep late.

Artistic delight

Entering this apartment is a treat each time: you know that much thought and artistry went into all aspects of the décor. We stayed in the one bed two bath unit, so it felt quite luxurious. I even got out onto the balcony a few times (in November). The location puts you within walking distance of most of the major attractions, including being only a few blocks from the Danube. Dealing with Tomas was very good, and we appreciated his arranging car services and providing some good guidance upon greeting us. He even carried our heavy suitcase up the three flights of stairs to the apartment!

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week at Golden Stars Budapest Apartment. It was like a home away from home, right in the heart of this fascinating city. The apartment is perfectly located for museums, restaurants, public transport etc and is exceptionally well furnished with all the appliances and information a guest might need. Having been out of touch with friends and family for some weeks, the internet connection included in the tariff was a blessing! The apartment was spotless on our arrival and it seemed as if our every possible requirement had already been imagined and provided. Thank you, Tomas, for this memorable week in Budapest. We shall have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and look forward to our next visit.

Me and my boyfriend have literally just come back from staying at the Golden Stars and we LOVED it soooo much!! It is in a beautiful old building and like everybody says, it has a very homely feel to it and beautifully furnished. It even has candles you can use and a dvd player!! We even made arrangements with Tomas to come and collect us from the airport for a small fee which was great. It is so reasonable price-wise that when me and my boyfriend were being shown around, we wondered if we had the right place or had been mistaken for other people! We definitely want to stay here again as the apartment made the trip for us even more special. It was so nice to come home and relax in after a hard days sightseeing before dinner! Thanks for the recommendations to everyone! xxxx

Budapest with a balcony

If you want to stay in Budapest, close to many of the main attractions, but not in a sterile hotel, this listing is the one for you. Lovely one bedroom apartment within walking distance of the Gellert Baths, Central Market Hall, merely two blocks from the Danube ... it's a great location and comes with a balcony overlooking Peres Palne u. Some information that others may leave out ... very close to restaurants lining Vaci u., but if you want to stop at a market, Lidl is only a 5 minute walk away (but this Lidl is very busy and crowded). There are other markets nearby in addition. There are bus and tram stops close by, and the Astoria metro stop is only 5 blocks away. The bedroom is very large, but the kitchen is fairly small. It has a refrigerator but no separate freezer compartment. There is a compact clothes washer but no dryer (we were able to dry our items with the clothes rack.) The apartment is in an older building ... part of the charm. However, the elevator closest to the apartment has its quirks and failed to operate several times. The apartment is on the 4th floor ... labeled the 2nd floor in Hungary. Ground is 0, there's a "half floor," followed by the 1st floor then the 2nd. Fortunately there's another (much more modern) elevator across the courtyard that serves when the old one is having its quirks. Really enjoyable stay in Budapest.
