Ny modern rustik stuga som backar upp till Grayson Highlands State Park. Var beredd pÄ stargazing och svala uppfriskande nÀtter. Minuter frÄn Grayson Highlands State Park och Creeper Trail. Alla moderna bekvÀmligheter i lantlig miljö.

Kabinen Ă€r en traditionell Appalachian-stuga med full svansstjĂ€rna av vit tall. Kabinen Ă€r cirka 600 ftÂČ med ett komplett badrum, fullt kök / matplats, loft sovrum omrĂ„de. Strukturen har en tĂ€ckt vĂ€lvt veranda och bakre veranda. Det finns mĂ„nga bekvĂ€mligheter som gör att gĂ€sten kĂ€nner sig mer hemma, inklusive handdukar, sĂ€ngklĂ€der för sĂ€ngar, tvĂ„l / schampo, köksredskap, grytor / kastruller och allt annat du behöver för att laga en god mĂ„ltid. Vi har en Weber vattenkokare pĂ„ baksidan av verandan för att ocksĂ„ grilla ut. Dessutom tillhandahĂ„ller vi kompletterande kaffe och ett bunt ved till utomhusgropen.

Stugan ligger pÄ en vacker plats pÄ cirka 4000 fot höjd. PÄ grund av höjden Àr temperaturen vanligtvis mycket svalare Àn de omgivande omrÄdena. Det rekommenderas att ta med en jacka Àven under de varmare mÄnaderna. PÄ grund av nÀrheten till Grayson Highlands State Park kan du ibland se en vild ponny som undrar fastigheten. Det finns gott om vilda djur runt fastigheten inklusive hjort, kalkon, mÄnga fÄgelarter och enstaka björn.

VĂ€gen till stugan Ă€r en statlig grusvĂ€g. Även om en 2wd bil / lastbil fungerar bra rekommenderar vi en 4wd om möjligt pĂ„ grund av den branta vĂ€gen. Virginia Transport Department (VDOT) gör ett fantastiskt jobb med att hĂ„lla tillgĂ„ngen till kabinen i god form.

Enjoyed the cabin! It was secluded and peaceful. We got to enjoy the Grayson Highlands State Park, Creeper Trail, and fall colors. My husband's family owns a chimney sweep business so the woodstove and firepit were a hit! Thanks again!

Absolutely PERFECT for what we needed. Close to Grayson Highlands where we hiked for a couple of days. Loved the tub too. We both used it after hiking on the Appalachian trail. We will definitely stay here again.

Long weekend get-away to Grayson Highlands

We really enjoyed this "tiny cabin." It's very well laid out and outfitted for two (or maybe as many as four?) people. We loved watching the fireflies around the firepit. And it was very easy from there to get into Grayson Highlands state parks for some very nice day hikes.

Weekend at the cabin

We had a great stay at this charming cabin. We arrived shortly after a rain storm with plans to enjoy the firepit and to our surprise found the patio chairs had been dried off recently. From the details and amenities at the cabin to the great communication with the owners, the hospitality was exceptional! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Really nice cabin

This cabin ended up being a great place for a family vacation (kids 9 and 5). The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to prepare meals, and I was happy to see a gas grill instead of the charcoal grill described in the listing. The gravel drive to get to the cabin is steep, but our 2-wheel-drive SUV made it with no problems. I can see how it might be a tricky in bad weather, though. We spent most of our time hiking at nearby Grayson Highlands State Park, but we also really enjoyed the cabin's location/views, yard, and firepit. It's a great place to hang out with kids in the evening, roasting marshmallows and watching for shooting stars (which we saw every night). I'd definitely recommend this cabin, especially for couples.

Perfect mountain getaway!

This place was amazing! It was snowing when we arrived and the cabin couldn’t have looked more picturesque. Service was spotty so make sure you know the code to the door before you drive up. Everything inside looked so new, modern and updated. Jon and Morene provided everything you need to have a cozy stay in this cabin. We actually forgot a wine opener and were happy to find that they had us covered. :) Stove worked great, heating works great. Over all a perfect mountain getaway!

Slice of mountain heaven

Great visit! Very secluded. Nestled between a Christmas tree farm, an old cemetery and the mountain hollows. Very clean space. All the kitchen essentials. My two girls slept in the two beds in the loft while I slept (and snored) in the comfy downstairs pullout couch. Roku on the TV let us sign into all our streaming services. Firepit outside had a great setting for roasting marshmallows. The steep gravel road up could be challenging for some cars, but our AWB Honda Pilot had not problems. There are two dogs at the last house before the cabin that run out and say a very emphatic HI! as you climb up, but they don't bother you otherwise. We enjoyed walking up the road above the cabin and seeing the old abandoned house, cemetery and tree farm on top of the hill. 30 minutes to West Jefferson and Damascus. 20 to Grayson Highlands. Have fun!

This property was everything we expected and more. The cabin and property are perfect for a relaxing stay. It is extremely clean and well kept. The hosts were super responsive and kind to a couple minor questions. Highly recommend!

Great place to unwind

Loved the remoteness of the property and the cabin was great and well appointed. The beds are a little small for someone over six feet. It is also very interesting to bath in the tub but we made it work. Loved the fire pit and the outdoor space. Although I understand the need for cameras by the front and back doors I was a little taken aback by the camera covering the yard. My wife and I felt like we were constantly under surveillance on the property. Overall, we would consider a return trip because of the cabins location to Grayson Highlands and the firepit.

Perfect getaway in VA! Hosts were very great about check in/out details days before. Was so quiet and secluded yet equipped with the essentials to make stay wonderful, even local soaps! Cabin is quite a bit away from store so make sure you grab groceries before the stay or you will have to travel! This was a great location for Grayson Highlands Park, Mt. Roger’s recreation and Demascus adventures!

My wife and I had a great time staying here. Check in instructions and directions were easy to follow. All the essentials are there. I do recommend bringing extra soap/shampoo if needed. All in all great stay.

Relaxing!

A quaint little cabin in the mountains. It’s in an excellent location for day hiking in Grayson Highlands and Mount Rogers. The cabin is quiet, comfortable, very clean, and has all the cooking utensils needed for basic meals. We enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch and listening to the birds.

Beautiful cabin for nature lovers

This place was perfect for a getaway to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the grind. We saw multiple deer each day and enjoyed the beauty of the area. Grayson Highlands State Park nearby. The owners were very helpful when we had questions.

Great little cabin if you are visiting the Grayson Highlands/Mt Rogers area (one of my favorite places to hike). Would make a perfect basecamp for day hikes and exploring or an excellent place to rest after backpacking. As noted, a 4x4 is a good idea, certainly if it's been raining or snow. But it's just the last bit of the driveway that is steep. Lovely place, will be back.

Charming Cabin

Very nice stay at this property - nicely equipped little cabin with everything you need for a weekend getaway to visit Grayson Highlands State Park, section hike the AT, or bike on the Virginia Creeper trail. Two things that other travelers should note, one that was listed on the listing and one that was not: - It is mentioned in the listing, but the cabin is up a well-maintained but fairly steep gravel road. I felt reasonably comfortable in my car (not a 4x4 by any means) but I could see it being challenging in bad weather or if travelers are less comfortable with gravel roads. - A bit of a quirk - this cabin does not have a traditional overhead shower, only a deep standalone tub with a sprayer attachment. Maybe not a big deal for some if you are using the cabin for a romantic getaway, but personally would have preferred a shower. Other than those things, it was an awesome property and I would wholeheartedly recommend.
