Mysig stuga nära Grayson Highlands State Park

Ny modern rustik stuga som backar upp till Grayson Highlands State Park. Var beredd på stargazing och svala uppfriskande nätter. Minuter från Grayson Highlands State Park och Creeper Trail. Alla moderna bekvämligheter i lantlig miljö.

Kabinen är en traditionell Appalachian-stuga med full svansstjärna av vit tall. Kabinen är cirka 600 ft² med ett komplett badrum, fullt kök / matplats, loft sovrum område. Strukturen har en täckt välvt veranda och bakre veranda. Det finns många bekvämligheter som gör att gästen känner sig mer hemma, inklusive handdukar, sängkläder för sängar, tvål / schampo, köksredskap, grytor / kastruller och allt annat du behöver för att laga en god måltid. Vi har en Weber vattenkokare på baksidan av verandan för att också grilla ut. Dessutom tillhandahåller vi kompletterande kaffe och ett bunt ved till utomhusgropen.

Stugan ligger på en vacker plats på cirka 4000 fot höjd. På grund av höjden är temperaturen vanligtvis mycket svalare än de omgivande områdena. Det rekommenderas att ta med en jacka även under de varmare månaderna. På grund av närheten till Grayson Highlands State Park kan du ibland se en vild ponny som undrar fastigheten. Det finns gott om vilda djur runt fastigheten inklusive hjort, kalkon, många fågelarter och enstaka björn.

Vägen till stugan är en statlig grusväg. Även om en 2wd bil / lastbil fungerar bra rekommenderar vi en 4wd om möjligt på grund av den branta vägen. Virginia Transport Department (VDOT) gör ett fantastiskt jobb med att hålla tillgången till kabinen i god form.

Perfect getaway in VA! Hosts were very great about check in/out details days before. Was so quiet and secluded yet equipped with the essentials to make stay wonderful, even local soaps! Cabin is quite a bit away from store so make sure you grab groceries before the stay or you will have to travel! This was a great location for Grayson Highlands Park, Mt. Roger’s recreation and Demascus adventures!

Relaxing!

A quaint little cabin in the mountains. It’s in an excellent location for day hiking in Grayson Highlands and Mount Rogers. The cabin is quiet, comfortable, very clean, and has all the cooking utensils needed for basic meals. We enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch and listening to the birds.

Really nice cabin

This cabin ended up being a great place for a family vacation (kids 9 and 5). The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to prepare meals, and I was happy to see a gas grill instead of the charcoal grill described in the listing. The gravel drive to get to the cabin is steep, but our 2-wheel-drive SUV made it with no problems. I can see how it might be a tricky in bad weather, though. We spent most of our time hiking at nearby Grayson Highlands State Park, but we also really enjoyed the cabin's location/views, yard, and firepit. It's a great place to hang out with kids in the evening, roasting marshmallows and watching for shooting stars (which we saw every night). I'd definitely recommend this cabin, especially for couples.

Long weekend get-away to Grayson Highlands

We really enjoyed this "tiny cabin." It's very well laid out and outfitted for two (or maybe as many as four?) people. We loved watching the fireflies around the firepit. And it was very easy from there to get into Grayson Highlands state parks for some very nice day hikes.

Great little cabin if you are visiting the Grayson Highlands/Mt Rogers area (one of my favorite places to hike). Would make a perfect basecamp for day hikes and exploring or an excellent place to rest after backpacking. As noted, a 4x4 is a good idea, certainly if it's been raining or snow. But it's just the last bit of the driveway that is steep. Lovely place, will be back.

Weekend at the cabin

We had a great stay at this charming cabin. We arrived shortly after a rain storm with plans to enjoy the firepit and to our surprise found the patio chairs had been dried off recently. From the details and amenities at the cabin to the great communication with the owners, the hospitality was exceptional! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Perfect little cabin getaway with all the comforts of home. The complimentary coffee was much appreciated. Beds were comfortable and the porch was icing on the cake. The fire pit area was yet another nice outdoor area, but watch for ticks.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin with great proximity to Grayson Highlands State Park and surrounding open space. We did several stunning hikes during our stay, and only wished we had more time. The cabin is spotless, and feels like it’s brand new. It has everything you need, including super fast WiFi. The natural setting of the cabin is beautiful and quiet so we ate every meal outdoors on the porch or around the fire pit. This rental definitely has our top recommendation.

Secluded Getaway

We enjoyed an amazing stay at Cozy Cabin in the Mountains of Virginia. During the day we adventured through all that near by Grayson state park has to offer and Relaxed outdoors in the Adirondack chairs while the crackling fire kept us warm in the evening. After stargazing the clear dark night sky we retired to soft comfortable beds. We will definitely be booking future trips to this secluded retreat

Perfect getaway

The cabin was clean, organized and offered everything we needed for our quick getaway. The host communicated well and it was everything we expected and more. The fire pit was a hit with the kids as we enjoyed some s’mores. We will definitely return again.

Very secluded

Beautiful log cabin tucked in the hills of Virginia!!! Be prepared with 4wd, if you would like to park at the cabin. Although there is a place to park within a short walk of the cabin that is easily accessible with 2wd. We had an amazing time! Thanks Jon for all you did to make our stay enjoyable!!!

Hiking Greyson Highlands

Beautiful little cabin close to Greyson Highlands. We were able to easily find it and loved it the minute we drove into the driveway. The cabin was perfect for us and the fire pit area was beautiful as well. We slept great and it was so quiet and peaceful. Coffee on the front porch in the morning was wonderful; we saw some deer and listened to the birds singing.

Cabin in the woods

We loved this cabin. This time we stayed just as we were passing through to meet some friends in Tennessee but we intend to return and use this cabin as home base for riding on the Creeper Trail, seeing the horses and relaxing by fire pit. It’s very remote and peaceful and the tub is wonderful. I had a 1 and 3 year old with me and should’ve brought baby gate to protect my own peace more but loved it nonetheless.

Serene experience

One of the best experiences for our family. Even though it rained a lot during our stay, we had so much fun in the house. I have AWD car so I didn’t have any problem driving through the gravel road even in heavy rain conditions. The cabin is located within just 15-20 min drive from Grayson Highlands state park. We will be going back again.

A rural stopover on our way to Nashville

Our family absolutely loved our stay in your cosy cabin & especially enjoyed the wood-burner fire. It was a little noisy in the middle of the night because there was a power cut & the generator kicked in! Not to be helped but slightly less sleep than we’d hoped for. Jon was very prompt at getting back to our messages & overall we’d definitely stay in this wonderful cabin again.

Peaceful

The property is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Check is was seamless. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals. We had no issue going up the road in 4 wheel drive vehicle, even after a heavy rain. We didn't use the fire pit but the set up is awesome. Look through the brochures in the kitchen drawer... We found the channels, horse back riding, state park, and is course hiking with the horses at Grayson.
