Gammalt hus i hjÀrtat av en charmig by i utkanten av tvÄ skogar: skogen Chandelais ekar, över tusen hektar och den enorma tallskogen i Monnaie med en medelhavsatmosfÀr. Dessa tvÄ skogar erbjuder timmars vandring pÄ markerade stigar till fots, med cykel (finns pÄ gite) eller pÄ hÀstryggen.
Vilken glÀdje pÄ morgonen att fÄ croissanter och fÀrska bagetter pÄ bageriet 20 meter frÄn stugan! Vilket nöje för smaklökarna att smaka, till lunch, det enkla och lantliga köket pÄ restaurangen Le Brocard pÄ place des tilleuls. Vilken frid att stanna i den blygsamma kyrkan frÄn 1100-talet (mÀrkt vÀlkomnande Anjou-kyrka) och vilken glÀdje i solnedgÄngen att gÄ mot dammen med sitt gamla klassificerade tvÀttstuga och sitt hjulbruk.

Great place to relax

The property was quirky with low doorways and some low beams, but was a lovely getaway. The highlight was definitely the heated pool. It was lovely on a hot day and as it was heated we were able to stay in it for hours at a time. There's plenty of space on the property with several seating areas. The hosts were marvellous, always there to help, but at the same time giving us plenty of space. Highly recommend

Gite agréable et bien situé

Nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs bon sĂ©jour dans ce gite. Les forĂȘts sont belles et facilement accessibles Ă  pied ou Ă  vĂ©lo. A faire : le chĂąteau de baugĂ© dont la visite a Ă©tĂ© une belle surprise. PropriĂ©taire trĂšs accessibles et accueillant. Mention spĂ©ciale pour la cheminĂ©e.

Oasis of calm, perfect place to relax

Beautifully restored old house in the centre of a small village. The owners are delightful, friendly and welcoming, and made us feel very at home. Beds were comfortable and there is storage everywhere. Beams are low but cushioned to avoid excessive injury. Showers and bathroom facilities are tucked into small spaces but very good showers especially, plenty of hot water and towels are also supplied. There are vast numbers of books in English and French for all ages and tastes. We really enjoyed being able to play the beautiful piano as well. The kitchen/dining is well stocked and there are plenty of tables and chairs for eating in and outside. There is a large garden with boules pitch, a beautiful heated outdoor pool with loungers, fenced off and surrounded by trees, really lovely, and we had the added delight of making friends with the family dog, a gorgeous corgi who visited us as often as he was allowed, mainly hoping for food and attention! The house is almost opposite the village boulangerie and the café in the square does very good meals for not much money. We loved staying here!

Just perfect!

We loved everything about this little house, and are so happy we found it for our recent family holiday. Yan and Therese are wonderful hosts, and were very helpful both before and during our stay. They live next door and are often around to say a cheery hello, but it never feels like an imposition at all. We also fell in love with their beautiful dog! The cottage itself is adorable and very "quirky" (be careful if you are tall and broad like my husband, you may find the upstairs bathroom a challenge! Although this wasn't a problem as there's also a very nice downstairs shower room.) It is a very old, cosy and unique property, and feels very much like a home with its abundance of books and games. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - you will have everything you need! The pool area really is fantastic, a joy for both adults and children, and like the house is spotlessly clean. We didn't use the garden, but could see that it is very well equipped for younger children. It is also very peaceful and secluded - you can't see any houses from the pool, just beautiful trees and plants. It's lovely that you are allowed to use the pool at night - we did so several times and loved listening to the bats and watching the stars, it was very special. There is a good selections of bikes of different sizes provided, and we spent time exploring the local forest one morning, which was very easy and enjoyable. The village is small and very pretty. Sadly the restaurant is closed the second half of August, which was disappointing as we love to eat out locally. However, there are other places to eat nearby (we would recommend Les Voyageurs in Beaufort en Vallee in particular - lovely simple home cooked food and great service). Locally we visited Saumur and Bauge, and also did a day trip to the fabulous Chateau de Chenonceau. We would also really recommend the extraordinary Chateau de Breze just the other side of the river Loire, with its vast underground tunnels - the children loved it. We were going to spend a day at the nearby lake at Les Fermiers as it has an inflatable water park and is only 20 mins away, but didn't get around to it as we loved just spending time by the pool. We would definitely return to this charming house, and probably pack a lot less things as it is so well equipped! We would recommend it for families with children of all ages, or a romantic getaway for a couple.

Un superbe séjour !!!

Une liste d'ingrédients pour une recette de vacances au top : la piscine, du soleil, des propriétaires discrets mais disponibles avec un accueil chaleureux, une maison équipée, des jeux à l'extérieur pour petits et grands. Sans oublier les multiples attentions a l'arrivée. Nous avons passé de superbes moments et avons bien profité de la piscine et des alentours. Merci pour ces vacances inoubliables

Bon séjour

Nous avons passé un bon séjour. Les propriétaires sont trÚs agréables et aux petits soins pour que l'on ne manque de rien. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les petites attentions. La piscine est trÚs agréable. Nous avons seulement un peu regretté la mitoyenneté du gßte et la rue qui nous a semblé passante à certaines heures. Tout est bien-sûr relatif car nous sommes habitués au grand calme. Cela n'a pas entaché notre séjour, et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

So relaxing

This gite was just wonderful. The gite it's comfy and we'll equiped and the pool is just great. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is wonderful and it's with in easy driving from some of the best places. I recommend Le fleche for the lake beach and the zoo. Also it was great to just be able to cycle around the local area and woods. A truly relaxing holiday 😁😁😁😁

Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© l'accueil convivial de nos hĂŽtes . L'emplacement est idĂ©al Ă  proximitĂ© des forĂȘts aux diverses ambiances. Quelle chance de pouvoir profiter des vĂ©los prĂȘtĂ©s! Et une boulangerie juste en face ! Belle rĂ©gion, belle maison, bel accueil tout Ă©tait parfait , merci !

Géographiquement idyllique, et un vrai cocon à l'intérieur

Nous avons fait le pari de partir hors saison, aux premiĂšres couleurs de l'automne, et ce magnifique gĂźte aura plus que comblĂ© nos attentes. Nous avions besoin de nous couper un peu du monde et de nous ressourcer en famille, avec nos 2 enfants de 9 ans. Le programme Ă©tait simple, balade en forĂȘt le jour et cocooning / jeux de plateau le soir, et nous n'avons pas Ă©tĂ© déçus. Il y en a eu pour tout le monde. Le gĂźte jouit d'une situation gĂ©ographique privilĂ©giĂ©e, situĂ© entre 2 magnifiques forĂȘts, on peut faire toutes les promenades Ă  pied ou Ă  vĂ©lo sans prendre une seule fois la voiture. Les forĂȘts sont magnifiques et les paysages de cette rĂ©gion Ă©poustouflants. Un vrai rĂ©gal pour les sens. Et surtout... Quel plaisir quand on rentre de promenade de profiter de la cheminĂ©e au feu de bois mise Ă  notre disposition. Nous en avons clairement abusĂ©, avec la bĂ©nĂ©diction des charmants propriĂ©taires qui nous ont dĂ©livrĂ©s beaucoup de petites attentions. La vĂ©randa et son parasol chauffant nous auront permis de chouettes soirĂ©es jeux (et apĂ©ro!) et des moments lectures fort agrĂ©ables. Je pense que nous avons rĂ©ussi les vacances parfaites, celles dont nous avions besoin, rythmĂ©es par un retour Ă  la nature salvateur et nous avons pu rĂ©chauffer nos cƓurs et nos Ăąmes au son du crĂ©pitement des buches dans la cheminĂ©e. Nous recommandons Ă©videmment l'expĂ©rience, trĂšs chaleureusement.

Excellent séjour

Ce sĂ©jour au GuĂ©deniau fut tout bonnement excellent. La maison, trĂšs atypique dans sa conception, dispose de tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un excellent sĂ©jour, que ce soit sur la literie, les Ă©quipements au sens large, et plus encore puisqu'elle fournit mĂȘme des jouets en pagaille pour les enfants ainsi que des jeux de sociĂ©tĂ© ! A ce titre, et en grand amateurs, nous avons beaucoup apprĂ©ciĂ© la vĂ©randa et surtout sa grande table, idĂ©ale pour nos soirĂ©es jeux (avis aux connaisseurs, on peut mĂȘme jouer Ă  Lisboa - si ça peut vous donner une idĂ©e de la taille de la table :-)) Avis aux musiciens, le piano est Ă©galement trĂšs sympa ! A l'extĂ©rieur, saluons la piscine chauffĂ©e trĂšs agrĂ©able, totalement entourĂ©e de verdure, ainsi qu'un grand espace vert avec mölkky, kubb, pĂ©tanque (un terrain est Ă©galement prĂ©sent), raquettes diverses, table de ping pong, bref la liste est longue et non exhaustive. A proximitĂ© pas mal de visites Ă  faire, comme visiter Angers, Saumur, des chateaux divers et variĂ©s bien sĂ»r, mais aussi Terra Botanica, le zoo de La flĂšche, etc Last but not least, les propriĂ©taires Ian et ThĂ©rĂšse sont des plus charmants, et toujours aux petits soins pour nous assurer le meilleur des sĂ©jours. Un grand merci Ă  eux. Bref, une location que je recommande donc chaudement.

Une maison et des hÎtes délicieux

Hormis le mauvais temps, le sĂ©jour a Ă©tĂ© formidable. La maison est trĂšs confortable, trĂšs bien amĂ©nagĂ©e, jolie. La piscine, quand le temps le permet est spacieuse, Ă  trĂšs bonne tempĂ©rature et cotoie un joli jardin oĂč il fait bon passer du temps. Les hĂŽtes sont extraordinaires, disponibles et discrets, prĂ©venants avec tact. Beaucoup de lieux passionnants aux alentours. Une location que nous recommandons avec enthousiasme.

Séjour parfaitement réussi à tous égards

La maison est trĂšs agrĂ©able, amĂ©nagĂ©e avec beaucoup de goĂ»t, et trĂšs confortable : nous avons beaucoup apprĂ©ciĂ© le plaisir de la cheminĂ©e et des flambĂ©es en rentrant des balades en forĂȘt proche. Une mention spĂ©ciale aussi pour l'accueil si chaleureux de nos hĂŽtes et pour leurs attentions. La maison super originale, propre et bien Ă©quipĂ©e. Piscine, vĂ©los, ping pong, jeux de sociĂ©tĂ© et autres animations Ă  disposition ... Jolie maison dans un cadre reposant

Un sĂ©jour dans un cadre idĂ©al, maison trĂšs jolie bien dĂ©corĂ©e et surtout trĂšs Ă©quipĂ©e ! De la cuisine en passant par les jouets pour enfants nous vous eu tout ce dont nous avions besoin et mĂȘme au delĂ  de nos attentes (notre fille s'est rĂ©galĂ©e avec les caisses remplies de jouets). Les extĂ©rieurs sont trĂšs agrĂ©ables et variĂ©s. La piscine est parfaitement entretenue et toujours Ă  une tempĂ©rature agrĂ©able. Les hĂŽtes sont des personnes trĂšs prĂ©venantes (accueil avec fruits du jardin et autres, toujours disponible et de bon conseil...) Nous avons vraiment passĂ© une semaine largement Ă  la hauteur de nos attentes.

A corner of paradise.

This gite is charming but has all the modern facilities you could need. Daily cleaning of the pool by robot, ensures that the water is crystal clear. With excellent hosts on hand to ensure your stay is outstanding, I cannot recommend this holiday destination enough! Definitely a place to book again. Thank you Ian and Therese for a wonderful holiday! We'll be back.

Excellent

TrÚs beau gßte de charme avec sa véranda et sa tonnelle pratiquent pour les repas en famille. Le gßte offre toutes les prestations désirées voire plus ( piscine sécurisée, multiples jeux d'intérieur et d'extérieur comme les fléchettes ou la pétanque...) nous avons eu accÚs à toute la propriété, merci à ThérÚse et Yan pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse et leur discrétion. Bref un endroit charmant pour se reposer et profiter de la proximité des sites remarquables comme Villandry, Azay le rideau ou Saumur.
