Rockaway IS our happy place!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable! Loved that it was so close to the beach and shops.

Family crabbing trip

Great location...not on the beach but very cloae to it. Walking distNce to restaurabts and shops. House had everything we needed. We would definitively stay there again.

Super nice, clean, organized and cozy house! Very close to the beach and with walking distance to the mall, restaurants, gift shops, etc ... One thing that bothered me was the check out time at 10 am, it should be around noon or 1pm I think you should more flexible and understanding about the hours, because it isn't an hotel so why not be more flexible about it to make a great customer experience? Overall it's a great place and the bed's mattress are so comfortable!

It was everything we hoped for!

Our goal for this vacation was to celebrate one’s birthday and to give our elderly dog one last trip to the beach. We were so happy that dogs were accepted and the accommodations were perfect. Close to beach access, home was neat and clean and very well organized. Our dog Smokey had a great time and we are so very grateful for this last opportunity with him.

Exceeded expectations

We were greated with the smell of a freshly cleaned house. The walk to the beach & shopping was closer than expected. The house had everything we needed and very dog friendly. I was expecting tight living & sleeping spaces but that wasn't the case.

Great house!

The house was very clean, organized and cozy, super close to the beach and has easy access to the malls, restaurants gift shops, bakery, etc... but one thing the app needs to improve is the check out time, super early in the morning at 10 am, it should be around 12 am or 1 pm so people can have a little more time to have breakfast and check the beach one more time before hitting the road, because in the end it isn't an hotel it's a house and they should be more flexible about the check out time!

Great beach house

Very close to the ocean, very clean, and very comfortable! Things to know: * Check in first before buying any oils or spices. Turns out their pantry already had oil, salt, and basic seasonings. Even had cornstarch (which I needed for the grilled chicken)! * The grill is worse for wear but works perfectly fine. We used it for all of our dinners; they keep the lighters in the kitchen. * No dishwasher, but they have cleaning products * There is a 24-hour mart and a Dollar General nearby. * This place was very clean and the furniture was in good shape. This place is very comfortable and in a good location. In the king bed room, you can see and hear the ocean. It has just about everything you'd need. Will come back next year!

Great location but cold shower water

Great location near the beach but No hot water in The shower and very low water pressure. Will not be anle toshower while staying here withonly cold water. Could use a larger TV downstairs and a TV in each bedroom. No blender in the kitchen. Needs newer more luxurious towels and wash cloths. The towels matched but looked and felt like they were 20 years old. None of the furniture matched and appeared old and from a thrift store. Kitchen needs a blender. I felt like this rental for 3 days was overcharged and I want a refund! Will not likely ever rent from Vacasa ever again and never recommend to any of my family and friends.

Fantastic location, typical beach rental!

Overall, the house was great! Very comfortable and fit 7 of us and a dog easily. Large selection of puzzles and books to keep you entertained during the rainy weather. Finished a 1000 piece Star Wars puzzle during our stay! Very clean upon arrival. House is outdated and creaky, but was a comfortable stay regardless. Only 1 shower available in the downstairs bathroom. 1 half bath upstairs for the bedrooms. Worked out ok for our group, but may be challenging for those with younger kiddos, as it is only a shower. No dishwasher, as clearly stated in the description, but no dish sponge available for us to do dishes. Had to walk to the market across the street to purchase one to do our dishes. The location is what sells this house! Across the street from a beach access and a quick walk across the highway to get to the center of the Main Street area. Only time we took the cars out after arriving was to get to the Old Growth trailhead up the road! Would absolutely stay here again in the future!

Our Happy Place Rockaway Beach

This is a no frills house but very comfortable and very well appointed with everything you might need. Really close beach access (you do have to go down some rock ‘steps’ which might be challenging for some people although it was pretty easy, if you need easier access the public beach parking is a minute drive away). Being so close to the town with easy walk ability to restaurants, shops, stores etc. is awesome, you really never have to get in your car!

Great location in a cute old cabin.

Keep in mind this town's original cabins were built in 1920. Given this, the location was in good condition. There's some significant slope in the master bedroom floor but that can be due to the age of the house. The rest of the house worked perfectly for what we were looking for! And such a bonus to have pet friendly so close to the beach. We loved our stay. My kids loved exploring the house with all it's structural charm. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Great location!

We loved our stay here. It is about a half a block walk to the beach. What an amazing location. Definitely within walking distance of everything in downtown Rockaway. The house is dated, could use some renovations.

Loved the location near the beach and Rockaway Beach strip! House was loaded with furniture and accessories for a great getaway! We definitely would have appreciated a later check out than 10 a.m
.. also, it would be helpful if there were mirrors in the bedrooms. Overall, great house!!

Great location, comfy place

Great location, nice house, comfy beds,l. 5 minutes distance of walking to any store, restaurants, 2 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. It was very windy the whole time we were there :( and our first night there was a power outage
 there is only only one big flashlight and one tiny one. Would be nice to have like a lanterns for cases like that. Also would be nice to have a full size mirror, clock and iron.

Great house, great location!

Spent a couple of nights here with my sister, mom and our dogs. We had such a great time. I love that it's pet friendly! It's so close to the beach and all the shops. Will definitely be back!

Lovely house across the street from the beach

House was great, location was awesome 😎 easy to access the beach. About a 25 minute walk to Twin Rocks but able to see it from the moment your feet touch the sand at their beach access point. Walkable places to eat food all around and extremely close. We had Taco pizza from Upper Crust which you can see out the upstairs bedroom window and can see the beach from the Master bedroom. Beds were super comfortable and has two bathrooms making it easy for anybody to use the restroom. Has a laundry room, if you need to wash clothes. Shower was roomy and water was hot. One thing I would say that needed upgraded; would be the size of the TV, thankfully we brought a projector with a screen. Other than that insignificant problem, lots of room in the house, kitchen was adequate and very clean. Also communication with the host was easy and received a quick response, even offered early check-in which was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Vacasa and VRBO, I definitely will be staying again. 😀
