Bedårande strandbungalow - utmärkt läge till stranden och centrum!

Verkligen ett hem hemifrån! Stugan, renoverad 2012 och ligger vid 128 Superior St., består av fem sovrum, två fulla bad och 11 sovplatser. De tre sovrummen på övervåningen har ett masterrum med queen size-säng, ett rum med två enkelsängar och ett rum med en full säng och två våningssängar över den. De två nedre rummen har en queen size-säng och den andra en rullande säng (två dubbla madrasser.) Matbordet har plats med bänkplatser och 42-tums plasma-TV i familjerummet gör TV-tittande ett nöje. Den öppna konceptet planlösning maximerar utrymmet och flyter bekvämt. Njut av stugens avskärmade veranda där du kan titta på vad som helst på väg till stranden eller till centrum, och det bästa är att myggorna inte får dig! Det är alltid allas favoritplats att koppla av! Stugan ligger på gångavstånd till stranden och centrum - ett kvarter till stranden och två kvarter till flodpromenaden och centrum. Titta västerut och du kan fånga den vackra solnedgången eller promenera ner till bluffen för att se horisonten på nära håll och personlig! Barnen behöver bränna lite ånga? Gå dem några kvarter till den stora familjeparken och lekplatsen, Kid's Corner. De hittar också underhållning i "barnrummet" som innehåller leksaker, staffli och ett barnbåtsbord. Ta med cyklarna, eller hyr dem från en av stadens många cykeluthyrningsbutiker och njut av VanBuren Bike Trail, som bekvämt passerar stugan.
Stugan har kabel-TV, wi-fi, luftkonditionering, DVD-spelare, en ny gasgrill och tvättmaskin / torktumlare. Köket är klart för användning och har allt du behöver för matlagning och servering. Det finns en kaffebryggare och en Keurig. Vi tillhandahåller också allt du behöver för att starta din semester - pappershandduk, toalettpapper, diskmedel etc. Vi erbjuder sängkläder och handdukar, som båda är nyinköpta. Allt du behöver göra är att ta med dina kläder och badhandduk!
Hemmet har obefläckat underhållits och våra hyresgäster kommenterar alltid det fantastiska läget och inredningen. Kom och se själv!

Uthyrning under bästa sommarveckor går söndag till söndag. Det finns flexibilitet för incheckningsdag och lägsta vistelse under vissa juni- och augusti-veckor. Skicka en förfrågan för mer information.

A perfect beach getaway

Overall, the beach bungalow is a fantastic place and I recommend it to others! I’ll be happy to stay there again if I find myself in south haven in the future. It’s got everything you need and is steps away from the beach. It was a great place to have fun, unplug, and relax.

Holiday weekend was perfect!

This house is wonderful! It is within walking distance to both the beach and downtown and the owners let us borrow the beach wagon, which really helped. They provided all that was necessary and we had enough room inside and out for the 9 of us. It was clean, well decorated and had new heating/air and appliances. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

South Haven with the Family

We had a great time, all as promised. 2 blocks from the overlook of the lake, 4 blocks to get to South Beach, about 6 blocks to downtown. Great house for the 10 of us. We hope to return. Thanks Amy!

Great location

Location was ideal, about 2 blocks from the beach and a short walk to downtown. The place was configured well for us, kids upstairs, parents downstairs. Despite being an older building the house was clean. The only real issue was the upstairs was hot. The air conditioning system works, but it is out of balance, downstairs ok, upstairs hot. The kids did not mind much, but I would have trouble sleeping if we had to sleep upstairs.

Good location, bad customer service.

The good: Close to the beach and walking into downtown. Home is cute and nicely decorated, kitchen well stocked. The bad: Absolutely no back yard- grilling on driveway in front of home, which means no space to have a fire to roast marshmallows at night, unless you use grill burner in front of home. House does sleep a large amount of people, but if you all want to hang out together at night in family room, there is not enough seating for everyone. The ugly: Pricey cleaning fee for home. Home not clean for us upon arrival and disgusting remnants found in sheets from previous visitors. Cleaning service obviously did not do thorough job. The biggest problem is that the owner did nothing to rectify the matter. If cleaning fee is to be charged, the home must be clean or the owner should make it right if it is not. Poor customer service.

Disappointing!

Please read Pat M.’s review of July 17th. We found similar conditions during our 8/1-8/8 stay … which means that the owner did little to resolve any of the issues after Pat M.’s review was posted. In addition, we found the couch stained and dirty, filthy windowsills, a broken window latch in the kitchen held together with masking tape, a broken bathroom fan, a bedroom smoke detector hanging by wires from the ceiling and without a battery, completely demolished upstairs bathroom window blinds and a large kitchen floor vent filled with a spider web so large it was horrific. We did not feel comfortable at all letting our grandson crawl on the floor. Plus, there was only one key for the entire house. In our case we DID contact the owner who offered us a full refund if we wanted to leave – a completely unworkable remedy as this was our family vacation, we live across the country and South Haven was fully booked. The next day the owner brought flowers and wine and came over to clean. She also sent her handyman over on Tuesday for some of the other repairs. But the communication and visits required to even partially remedy the situation – not to mention our ongoing questioning of the cleanliness of the home – disrupted and put a damper on our one-week vacation. I understand the quirks and quaintness of an older beach home, but the disrepair and poor equipping of this one felt incommensurate with the cost – which was much pricier than listed due to high-season rates.

Beach Getaway

The Beach House was a perfect getaway for us! Location is excellent- very close to the beach and walking distance from downtown. We loved the screened in porch for morning coffee and evening relaxation time. Highly recommend!

Great location, renovated but still old in some ways

The location of this house is perfect - two blocks to the stairs to the beach, easy walk to downtown. I thought, from the photos, the house was recently renovated or maybe even new. It is not. It was renovated at some time, but the floors are slanted and the fixtures show wear. All of that was fine, I just expecting something newer. The house decor is cute. The furniture is comfortable, though there are not enough seats for the number of guests it can accommodate. The dining table only has benches. The stove needs to be lighted with a lighter, and the dishwasher is small. There is no real yard, so cookouts would be on the driveway. Having said that, we had a great time! Just think of it as an older South Haven house - it was like many others we have stayed in.

Perfect for our 2 families

The space was clean and well maintained. We had 2 families stay there with 5 kids under 7 and the layout was perfect for it. One family of 4 took the downstairs bedrooms and family of 5 upstairs. The kids toys was a welcomed bonus for our Littles, and the common area was big enough we didn't feel crowded on a rainy day. We walked to town and the beach every day and even a couple of the kids could walk it without riding in a wagon. I would recommend this house to families, and would stay here again 100%.

Fantastic location

Second year staying at this place. Clean and perfect location. 2 blocks to beach and town! Owner extremely responsive. Had one small issue and the owner had someone out to fix it ASAP. Will definitely stay here again.

Great home and great location

We prefer homes that the owners use themselves. This home falls into that category. The place is clean and cared for and we would do for our own vacation home. I would suggest this place to anyone and will probably stay there again.

Charming and Quaint House at a Great Location

This house is very charming. The screened in porch was a wonderful way to share our coffee in the morning, and wine in the evening. The beach is a quick stroll to watch the magnificent sunsets. My sisters & I had a marvelous time. The owner was very responsive to our requests. Overall, it was fabulous.

Fabulous location!

We especially enjoyed the location of this home and it’s proximity to both South Beach and the restaurants. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and everyone slept comfortably.

Fantastic Location But Caution For Small Children

This is a quaint older house in a fantastic location - a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk into town! The house was as shown in the pictures, with plenty of bedrooms for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch. However, we found that the house came with lots of older house quirks. The air conditioning could not keep up upstairs so the bedrooms were very warm, particularly during the day. The kitchen is older and full of ants - any food left on the counter overnight was completely overrun with ants the next morning. And most concerningly, the staircase does not have a railing and we spent the entire trip afraid that one of the kids (ages 7, 4, 3, 1.5 and 1) would fall over the 5-6 foot drop and get hurt. It made for a rather stressful trip. We were also disappointed to arrive at check-in time and find that the house was still being cleaned. We weren't able to access the house until almost 45 minutes later, which is quite a long time when you have hot, melting down kids. Overall we'd recommend the house to families with older kids or adults-only based on the location alone, but would strongly recommend against for families like us with young children given the stair rail situation.
