Happy Ours Cottage, 4 minuters promenad till sandstrand!

Omfattande renoveringar och restaureringar under de senaste 15 åren fångar känslan av avkoppling och kul under din vistelse i South Haven! Vår långa uppfart rymmer fyra eller fem fordon. Gatuparkering finns också för två fordon, april-1 november.

Våra 4 sovrum, 2 badrum, luftkonditionering och stuga med tvättmaskin / torktumlare ligger 600 fot från Lake Michigan-enheten (North Shore Drive) och en 15 minuters promenad till 50+ historiska Downtown South Haven-butiker. Stugan ligger knappt en mil från dragbron i centrala South Haven. Det finns sex offentliga stränder på norra sidan av South Haven. Vår närmaste offentliga strand ligger vid Oak Street och North Shore Drive. Detta är en fem minuters promenad från vårt hus. Du kan se detta när du mappar vår adress.

Vi har ett lugnt område, vilket skulle göra din vistelse trevlig. Se bilderna på vår renoverade stuga! Gå norrut en timme på stranden eller bläddra i staden med dess unika butiker och restauranger.

Stugan ligger på den exklusiva nordsidan av staden, mindre än en mil från centrala South Haven.

Stugan har en 70-tums platt-TV i vardagsrummet, kabel och trådlös wifi, luftkonditionering, en elektronisk öppen spis, tvättmaskin och torktumlare, diskmaskin och dubbelugn. Köket är fullt utrustat med små apparater, grytor och kokkärl, disk och allt du behöver för att göra en underbar måltid. Det enda du behöver lägga till är din egen mat.

Vi tillhandahåller avfallspåsar, kökshanddukar, pappershandduk, toalettpapper, Kleenex, badrumshanddukar, lakan och andra sängkläder. Drottning och fulla sängar har fyra kuddar. Tvåbäddsrum har två kuddar.

Vi har också massor av strandleksaker och flytvästar för din användning.

Köket har plats för 13 personer. Vi har också en uteplats i trädgården, gasgrill och en liten eldstad.

Great spot

Great spot I a quieter neighborhood north of town. Short walk to Oak Street Beach but only 15 minutes from downtown. Accommodated the five of us fantastically, could’ve easily had a lot more folks.Kitchen was great as was washer/dryer. Would love to come back!

Great location. Room enough for everyone! Everything needed for infant to small children. Life jackets, stroller. The kitchen was awesome. 2 ovens. purified water system.We enjoyed the 4 minute walk to the beach.

This was a very good place for our family, 3 couples plus a toddler. Very convenient to have a changing table , high chair, portable crib, crib sheets right there. The sun porch was his favorite play area. The beach was very close, a couple minutes by car or a short walk. It's a great location, we walked into town and a long the beach to the lighthouse. The kitchen has everything we needed, and there was a lot of room to sit around and to have the high chair at the table. Katherine, the host , kept in touch to make sure everything was ok. Tip from a long time South Haven visitor: go to the newly reopened Sherman's Ice Cream.

Nice, clean, and accomodating!

The house was perfect for our family get away. It's stocked with nearly everything you need and more...especially the kitchen. There were baby items available to use which was so helpful. The beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

Great location and great host

We really enjoyed the house for our family trip to South Haven. The kitchen/living room space was great for us to hangout together at night and the location was very convenient to walk to the beach and downtown. We barely used our car. The house was as expected and had plenty of beach chairs and toys for us to use. Thanks for sharing your home!

Family was getting married in Allegan. We used this place to stay during the wedding and after. It has a great location near the beach as well as not a long drive to the wedding venue. Kathy was great to work with. She made sure that we had everything we needed including all of the beach toys.

Perfect stay for Mother-in-law’s 60th

My family and I stayed at the cottage along with a few other family members to celebrate my mother in law’s 60th birthday. The cottage was perfect for what we needed. The cottage is not far from all of the things that South Haven has to offer!! Thank you for a great weekend!

Wonderful cottage and location

Our family had a wonderful time visiting the South Haven area. It was our first time and felt lucky to have found Happy Ours Cottage to stay in. We had plenty of room for everyone in our family to spread out and have their own space, plus the short walk to the beach and downtown were perfect! Our host was very attentive and answered all of our questions quickly. We would love to come back and stay again!

Wonderful location

That cottage was nice but it was not a good match for our family. We had 9 adults and it was tight. I can see how the cottage would be ideal if our 5 "kids" were little ones. I would recommend the cottage but not for people with "big" kids.

Summer Family Vacation

Annual week in South Haven for family. We enjoyed our time at Happy Ours Cottage. It was close to the beach and downtown. We could walk everywhere. The neighborhood was quiet. Owner was very accommodating and quick to respond. Look forward to returning.

Great Mother's Day weekend

I came with my family to visit the tulips in Holland and explore a few of the smaller towns along Lake Michigan. Great location to do all that, in either direction! The cottage was clean and spacious. We had everything we needed, and then some. Katherine even offered us to come a night early, as the cleaning crew was finished. Will definitely be back if we want to stay in South Haven again. We had a great time.

1. Never ending hot water! 2. Back porch was a great hang out! 3. Host was great! 4. Giant island for servering food 5. Great selection of books & games for all ages 6. Plenty of parking 7. Low-key Bachelor Party

We had 6 friends come out for board games and breweries. The check in process was seamless. Our hostess was very communicative leading up to our stay. The kitchen was fully furnished with all the necessary pots, pans, utensils and appliances. Great location, 7 minutes from Meijer and Walmart. At least 8 breweries within 20 minutes. Awesome place, would highly recommend.

Great House! Very fun time!

This house is on a lovely, tree-lined, quiet street a few blocks from the sandy beaches of South Haven; older kids can easily walk back and forth on their own as the streets are not busy. Very nice that owners offer the use of their wagon to transport little ones or all the beach accessories. Kitchen had every appliance and item we needed for our simple meals and then some. Bring some wood (or purchase at local gas station) to enjoy s'mores around the fire pit. Our group had a fabulous time!

Great place to stay with kids!

Our family stayed here with two other families (we all have small children) and we had a great time. The cottage had everything we needed, especially for the kids, and the back yard was great for grilling. Just a short walk to the nearest beach, but we often walked about 15 minutes to get to North Beach, mostly so we had access to ice cream. Katherine was a great host, available whenever we had questions. I think the only negative thing about the house is the lack of a washer and dryer. They provided plenty of bath towels, but our beach towels and blankets could definitely have used a wash after a few days.

Many advantages, a few drawbacks

If you read the various reviews, you eill get a good picture of this rental. So I won't repeat them. The number of beds for the price and location are great. And plenty of seating in dining and living rooms was plenty for all. (I have found this is not the case in all rentals.) The owner was very responsive to requests and questions we had. The information given for our preparation was super helpful. We guessed the cottage is about 100 years old but all the important things, kitchen, bathrooms and electrical are totally modern. You notice the old in the tiny closets, odd vents and creaky floors. The floors created a bit of consternation for us as it was impossible to move around quietly in the kitchen in order not to disturb the family with baby downstairs. And, the kitchen island lights reflect brightly through the opening at top of stairs. I only add these things for those to whom it would make a difference. The array of beach gear, kitchen items and games makes it a great choice if you will be flying and limited in what you bring. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Cozy spot near the beach

Had an overall positive experience, even if the weather didn’t cooperate with us! Was a little bit of construction on the road but not a huge deal. Home was as advertised with plenty of space for all. Host was extremely communicative and thorough. Enjoyed our stay!

I have rented our cottage for over 18 years. As a retired teacher and a Ph.D. student, I am available 24/7 to assist with any needs you may have. I am always happy to help with restaurant suggestions, activities, etc. Of course, our favorite time is enjoying the cottage with our friends and family from Illinois.

With four bedrooms, three on the main level and one downstairs, a brand new Master Bathroom (2015) on the main level, and a shower bathroom on the lower level, our cottage is the perfect location to get together with family and friends.

Our cottage is comfortable and relaxing with the perfect combination of modern conveniences. It features high-speed wireless Internet, Cable, Roku, and central air. Our kitchen has a double oven, flat top stove, large microwave, dishwasher, large toaster oven, toaster, coffee pot, hand mixer, blender, griddle, waffle maker, spices, and plenty of pots, pans, tableware, and silverware. Most of the rooms have high ceilings, which creates a feeling of openness. The living room has a 60" smart, flat-screen television, blue-ray player, lots of DVDs, 2 sofas, love seat, and a Lazy Boy recliner. The kitchen has seating for 13. We also have many games and children's books, just in case there is a chance for some quiet moments inside.
For kids, there is an outdoor shower, life jackets, beach toys, beach wagon, stroller, high chair, changing table, pack and play, booster chair, child's potty, and potty circle.
Outside we have six chairs around a circular table, some folding chairs, two lounge chairs, an Adirondack chair, an outdoor shower, and a beach wagon.
