Summary:

Beautiful greystone row home (with 2 car garage) near Wrigley! Wrigley is 0.5 mile walk down Sheridan St. There you will find the home of the Cubs and all the popular bars and food options Wrigleyville has to offer.



The Space:

4 bedroom greystone row home with living area and finished basement. There is also a backdoor patio that is private. Great for large groups or families looking for a vacation in the city.



""Buena Park is a neighborhood bounded by Montrose Avenue, Irving Park Road, Graceland Cemetery and Lake Shore Drive. At the core of the neighborhood is the Hutchinson Street Historic District, a tree-lined stretch several blocks long featuring mansions that make up ""one of the best collections of Prairie-style architecture in the city."" It is in sharp contrast to the skyscrapers that populate the area around it. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.""

Great location, spacious home and has a private backyard patio.

Had an great family trip. Home is in a good location. Easy to access buses and train. Home and furniture need a bit of refreshing, but overall a great trip.

Wrigleyville Stay

We stayed here for Cards & Cubs outing with friends. Had a nice stay. The 2 car garage fit one sedan and on SUV. It was tight but it worked. The house was clean, not recently renovated, but still in nice shape. Nice large living room big enough for 8 guys to hang out together. Beds were comfortable. Very easy to walk to Wrigleyville and Wrigley Field. Overall a great stay for the price.

Great spot near Wrigley

It’s perfect for what we needed it for. Had to hold the front door tight to get it to latch with the lock. But overall I would stay there again.

The house is old but well kept. Master bedroom is huge. Has a 4 post king bed. Very squeaky so for a light sleeper may make it tough. Owner did come out and made significant improvement the next day but still a little noisy. Otherwise spectacular stay safe neighborhood and a nice house for the price and location.

Great getaway accommodations for a city visit.

We booked this location for our large family of 8. Clean and it slept all of us well, with plenty of space to wind down and hang out after a day seeing the sights in the city. Easy walking distance to Wrigley field and local attractions. Short drive into the city or hop on the train a block away. Seemed like a safe neighborhood and has a garage for parking. (Note a Suburban is too long to park inside and still close the door)Good communication with property owner/management. We will definitely consider again for future trips.

Lincoln Park Stay

Nice property very close to Red Line. Love the garage for parking space. Only reason this was not five-star was due to some minor issues with furnace which was handled promptly by host. Also, fridge stopped working but worked again after a quick reset. Overall nice, not glamorous, stay for a Chicago visit.

Beautiful neighborhood charm

Close to Wrigley and perfect for family stay. Lots of neighborhood options for restaurants and bars. Unit with garage for parking which was very convenient. Communication and contact was airtight for check-in, out and any needs.

Great Location, Some Updates Needed

I would definitely stay at this property again, now knowing the ins and outs of the property. The owners communicated well with me and were timely in their correspondence. Everything went really well.Unfortunately, there were a couple of things I wish I knew. First, I was unaware that the sleeper sofa bed was in the Master Bedroom. It made for a tricky sleeping arrangement. The property sleeps 12, that is, if two people are in all three full beds. For a place that sleeps 12, there were not enough dishes and cups. The pictures do not give you an accurate idea of how the beds are set up.It was mostly clean; however, the living room curtains had stains on them. One of the living room couches need reupholstered because the lining is torn off of the cushions.With all of that being said, we really enjoyed our stay and would be back. The location was perfect!

Huge historic house with beautiful original finishes

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this home. It is on a quiet street in a perfect location for tourists. Wrigley Field, the lake, $14 Uber ride to the riverfront. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is in a little disrepair. Some of the windows wouldn’t lock, broken handles on cabinets and back door. It smelled a little musty. But we were fine with that for the price we paid. It was worth it.

Good Bones, Needs Tweaks to Details

The property fulfilled our needs for a place to stay on the north side. We had 6 senior adults, one couple, 4 single, and the sleeping accommodations worked for us. As one of our group noted, "The place has good bones, but needs attention to some details." Examples of such things are broken kitchen faucet nozzle that needs replacing, balky light switch for the kitchen hanging lights, need for a Keurig k cup adapter for ground coffee, a nail on the stair railing that "bit" one of our group (we put a bandaid on the rail to pad it). All in all the we enjoyed our stay; it just could have been a bit better.

Grand property, great value, minor issues

The good: Clean, tons of space! Location - pretty quiet neighborhood. Beds - unlike many VRBOs - they were pretty comfy! Garage - yes, you can carefully fit 2 cars in it. The so-so: Our main complaint was the main living room are had 2 chairs, for a place that supposedly slept 12. Yes, there’s a ‘basement den’ area w couches and a TV, but that space is less-than inviting. (Also, some minor fit and finish things here and there. Not sure I would have trusted the dishwasher. Would have been nice to have the garage code)

Great Place

We had a great stay at this property! The home was beautiful. It isn't "fancy" but everything was well taken care of and for the size, character and location the price can't be beat! One of the bedrooms is an interesting arrangement which I think is why it is listed as a 4 bedroom and a 3 bedroom but it worked well for our group. One of the reviews mentioned that the bed in the master was very squeaky and that is true. Every time you shift positions it does squeak. Maybe something on the frame could be tightened? The owners were very responsive and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this rental! We loved the house and would absolutely stay here again. It is a great house for a big family or a group of friends!

Location great, otherwise disappointing.

If you want a house close to Wrigley this is perfect, otherwise this was a huge disappointment. When we walked in there was a dirty wet mop left in the kitchen. There was a sack of chips and half a case of beer left from the previous guests. The floors and carpet looked like they hadn't been sweep. The toilet in the biggest bedroom wasn't attached to the floor and rocked when you sat on it and didn't flush well. There was such an oder in the house we had to go buy air freshener. The two car garage barely fit two cars and you could barely get in and out of cars. We checked out a day early, very disappointed.

Great stay

This is a beautiful old home. It has clearly been used hard by previous renters which explains the strict house rules. We noted quite a lot of damage that was either not yet, or poorly repaired. The space looks high end but lacks the fit and finish details. For us, the noise limits, and no party rules were not a problem other than the visitor limits. We are a family of 7 to start and were visiting family for holidays. It was quite inconvenient for us to not be permitted to have our local family members visit us in the rental. The price (winter, not baseball season) was excellent for the space. The location is excellent. Access to the garage for parking was a huge plus. Communication with the property manager was very good. The only other (very minor) issue was the master bed squeaked very loudly every time we rolled over or shifted position. It was otherwise quite comfy with super luxe sheets but it could use some tightening or wd-40 or similar. We would stay in this unit again if we could have visitors approved.
