Summary:
Beautiful greystone row home (with 2 car garage) near Wrigley! Wrigley is 0.5 mile walk down Sheridan St. There you will find the home of the Cubs and all the popular bars and food options Wrigleyville has to offer.

The Space:
4 bedroom greystone row home with living area and finished basement. There is also a backdoor patio that is private. Great for large groups or families looking for a vacation in the city.

""Buena Park is a neighborhood bounded by Montrose Avenue, Irving Park Road, Graceland Cemetery and Lake Shore Drive. At the core of the neighborhood is the Hutchinson Street Historic District, a tree-lined stretch several blocks long featuring mansions that make up ""one of the best collections of Prairie-style architecture in the city."" It is in sharp contrast to the skyscrapers that populate the area around it. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.""

The neighborhood is great! It's safe and right near many shops and restaurants. I rented here because my son lives nearby.The house is very large. It has a good sized kitchen and multiple bedrooms.

Wrigley field

The house is old but well kept. Master bedroom is huge. Has a 4 post king bed. Very squeaky so for a light sleeper may make it tough. Owner did come out and made significant improvement the next day but still a little noisy. Otherwise spectacular stay safe neighborhood and a nice house for the price and location.

Wrigleyville Stay

We stayed here for Cards & Cubs outing with friends. Had a nice stay. The 2 car garage fit one sedan and on SUV. It was tight but it worked. The house was clean, not recently renovated, but still in nice shape. Nice large living room big enough for 8 guys to hang out together. Beds were comfortable. Very easy to walk to Wrigleyville and Wrigley Field. Overall a great stay for the price.

Chicago fun

Had an great family trip. Home is in a good location. Easy to access buses and train. Home and furniture need a bit of refreshing, but overall a great trip.

It’s perfect for what we needed it for. Had to hold the front door tight to get it to latch with the lock. But overall I would stay there again.

Great Location, Some Updates Needed

I would definitely stay at this property again, now knowing the ins and outs of the property. The owners communicated well with me and were timely in their correspondence. Everything went really well.Unfortunately, there were a couple of things I wish I knew. First, I was unaware that the sleeper sofa bed was in the Master Bedroom. It made for a tricky sleeping arrangement. The property sleeps 12, that is, if two people are in all three full beds. For a place that sleeps 12, there were not enough dishes and cups. The pictures do not give you an accurate idea of how the beds are set up.It was mostly clean; however, the living room curtains had stains on them. One of the living room couches need reupholstered because the lining is torn off of the cushions.With all of that being said, we really enjoyed our stay and would be back. The location was perfect!

Property not as represented

We selected this property for the location, room sizes and ability to be in the home over a holiday weekend. We arrived after check in time and it was not prepared/clean. Two bags of dirty linens, towels and trash were in the main rooms. The carpets were VERY DIRTY and photos of the beds in the listing did not match the rooms. The beds were not ready- flat sheets that didn’t fit the beds were placed over bare mattresses, and there were limited blankets. Pillows were also very old and not reflective of photos.Towels were very poor, small and only bath towels- no wash clothes and 1dirty hand towel.Photos showed 6 dining chairs (6 guests). Only 4 chairs were in the dining room (not the ones in the photos)& not enough plates to eat in the home. I did read reviews from previous guests. They had responses that made me believe all problems were fixed. We texted the property manager and let her know what we were seeing. She first said the place was cleaned because she had seen photos. She only believed me when I sent her our photos. She agreed to clean the home the next day so we had to leave the home for her to get it cleaned. The other reviews reported a rodent problem. I have lived in Chicago and am tolerant of city issues. This place had bigger issues. The garage & basement were covered fin w/rat dropping. The back yard/gateway to the garage was also in disrepair. Trash & green standing water in a bucket full of trash greeted us. I would not return or recommend.

Great getaway accommodations for a city visit.

We booked this location for our large family of 8. Clean and it slept all of us well, with plenty of space to wind down and hang out after a day seeing the sights in the city. Easy walking distance to Wrigley field and local attractions. Short drive into the city or hop on the train a block away. Seemed like a safe neighborhood and has a garage for parking. (Note a Suburban is too long to park inside and still close the door)Good communication with property owner/management. We will definitely consider again for future trips.

The house was great, clean and above all there was great communication between us the owners. A fantastic location to Wrigley and numerous bars, restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. All within walking distance.

Lincoln Park Stay

Nice property very close to Red Line. Love the garage for parking space. Only reason this was not five-star was due to some minor issues with furnace which was handled promptly by host. Also, fridge stopped working but worked again after a quick reset. Overall nice, not glamorous, stay for a Chicago visit.

Huge historic house with beautiful original finishes

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this home. It is on a quiet street in a perfect location for tourists. Wrigley Field, the lake, $14 Uber ride to the riverfront. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is in a little disrepair. Some of the windows wouldn’t lock, broken handles on cabinets and back door. It smelled a little musty. But we were fine with that for the price we paid. It was worth it.

Beautiful neighborhood charm

Close to Wrigley and perfect for family stay. Lots of neighborhood options for restaurants and bars. Unit with garage for parking which was very convenient. Communication and contact was airtight for check-in, out and any needs.

The property was great! There was plenty of space for everyone. It was a very easy 10/15 min walk to Wrigley field. The garage was also really nice to have!

Location great, otherwise disappointing.

If you want a house close to Wrigley this is perfect, otherwise this was a huge disappointment. When we walked in there was a dirty wet mop left in the kitchen. There was a sack of chips and half a case of beer left from the previous guests. The floors and carpet looked like they hadn't been sweep. The toilet in the biggest bedroom wasn't attached to the floor and rocked when you sat on it and didn't flush well. There was such an oder in the house we had to go buy air freshener. The two car garage barely fit two cars and you could barely get in and out of cars. We checked out a day early, very disappointed.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE STANDARDS

We were excited to come to Chicago and stay at this house due to the affordability they offered. However; there were many issues that will keep us from returning to this property: 1) VERY DIRTY- sinks not clean, utensils not clean, dirt and dust in the bathtub, dirty bath mats. Upon entry to the home there was a large pile of dirt and dust at the bottom of the stairwell to welcome us into the home. 2) MISLEADING LISTING PHOTOS- the photos do not accurately represent what is present in the home. The beds do not come with comforters, only sheets. The only blankets in the home are fuzzy blankets which are shoved in a closet uneatly. Also, there are photos that appear to show more beds than what are actually in the home. 3) The home was not stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies/toiletries. We arrived to the home and 2 of the bathrooms had no toilet paper in them. There was not a stock of any toilet paper so we had to buy our own. The home also did not come with paper towel or extra trash bags. 4) The home has a rodent issue. One of our guests stayed in the basement and heard rodents running around and making noise throughout the night. 5) There are many more things I could share about this home that did not live up to livable standards. I would NOT recommend staying here unless you want to be continuously disappointed throughout your stay.
