Nice condo

Accurate listing, clean, easy checkin at condo. I wish I would have parked in lot next door instead of paying for valet, but valet was great. WiFi didn’t work.

Wonderful service.

We recently stayed at this apartment and really enjoyed the location and the supreme service at this location. Everything worked very well and was just what we needed to relax. Everything was well maintained and clean. We have also stayed at other properties in other buildings next to this one which were extremely disappointing, so we are extremely happy that this one was very good.

Nice room for a family

The room had plenty of space for a family. With 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms seperated by a common area was great for several people. The pools were nive as well with easy access to the beach

Loved the place. Location was great. Pool and beach perfect for us (family of 6). Manager very responsive to all our questions. Would definitely love to stay again.

Beach Vacation

Resort is nice with a nice beach. Drinks are very expensive but that seems to be the theme. The trolley system is nice once you get the hang of things. For us I think we would stay farther south next time. There wasn’t much for food within walking distance of the Alexander. I would say we got what we paid for.

Great beach stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Condo was nice, clean, and beds were comfortable. Location is a short Uber trip from South Beach. Beach was lovely, pool area was fun with adult pool and kid pool. Great service from pool bar. We definitely enjoyed the nice balcony with ocean view! Easy check in and out and helpful info from host! Coffee shop downstairs with good coffee but avoid the sketchy gift/convenience shop with no prices.

The exterior of the building is newly renovated with nice pool and lounging area. Our room left a lot to be desired. Updated furnishings would be welcome. the bathroom is in need of desperate remodel. You can not bring any outside food or drinks to or even through the pool area to the beach, which is very disappointing for a family of six renting a condo. the beach is gorgeous not much for shopping or food options within walking distance how ever there are lots of ride share options to places about 10-15 min car ride.

Great location Nice Condo

We enjoyed our stay here, great location, everything was as described and beds very comfortable. Loved the location on the beach and the nice pool area. A couple things there were a concern no bath mat in the master tub and tub was very slippery, the kitchen was very nice but stocked well for 2 persons. lack of glassware, silverware and plate, and no ice. maker. We had a good stay but had to run the dishwasher all the time.

Nice condo in a great location

The condo is located in Mid Beach which was nice and the pools are awesome with direct beach access. The only negative is the people at the front desk of The Alexander Hotel are not friendly or helpful. The guy w the nose earring who checked us in was rude and not friendly. Vanessa with Blu Rentals was our contact via text messages and she was very helpful.

Spring Break 2023

The property is great with perfect location. The only thing I would complain about is if you take a wagon to carry all your stuff to they beach and have a cooler to take to the beach they not let you go through pool area to go to beach. We had to walk down the street to public access to go to the beach. After the beach we like to come to the pool and relax in pool and have drink from the bar but you can't because they won't let you enter the pool area.

The property itself was awesome and beautiful . But the condo needs a lot of work done .very outdated . We requested for additional wash cloths and was told someone was coming and no one ever showed up. It was 4 of us and each of us had a wash cloth a piece and the stay was for 3 nights .

Miami beach condo trip to replace Celebrity cruise vacation

We decided to postpone our cruise due to Covid and opted for an 11-day beach stay instead. This condo offered us everything we needed - easy access to the beach, accessible transportation (bicycle rentals, boardwalk, Miami shuttle) and a beautiful view from the deck. The condo is clean, comfortable, spacious for 2, and had everything we needed to make simple meals. We would definitely stay here again and hope, too! Initially, we had one issue with the TVs and it was taken care of within a few hours. Otherwise, all was smooth and enjoyable.

Great pool, beach, walking path, customer service. Comfy bed. Lacking walkable casual restaurants

We stayed 2 weeks, first time to Miami Beach. The location was 5-stars for beach, pool and the awesome Miami Beach boardwalk. Comfortable beds (although we prefer firmer). The Alexander gave excellent customer service. We didn’t contact the owner for anything so “not applicable” is actual rating (not 5-stars). Unit, especially bathrooms, could use updates (but then it’d cost more!). The bar soap, shampoo and conditioner they supplied was horrible. We prefer casual dining (tshirt, shorts and flip flop attire) and didn’t want fancy, expensive restaurants. Most nearby restaurants were fancy, which was disappointing for us. I would recommend this property to others who want to stay in Miami Beach

The staff was great, location was great but the room itself was very dated. Outside of that the room didn't feel clean. There were stains and ants and sand everywhere. There was cigarette butt's on the balcony along with the balcony furniture being dirty enough to mark up our clean clothing. There was holes in the walls covered with furniture. Just all around not the greatest. I think one of the funniest complaints my kids made was that they provide 1ply toilet paper in a 5 star price range! That being said I know every unit is different and I saw other complain about smell and air-conditioning. Our air conditioning in 511 was great though what they have considered the primary bedroom did get stuffy at night and our unit had no bad smell. It was a mixture of salty air and the air freshener they use. The other large upset was that you could not take your own drinks to the pool. I was told I could not take my kids cup outside and when traveling with kids drinks and snacks get expensive. If they hadn't charged my husband over $35 dollars for 1 single cocktail and a juice it wouldn't have been so bad but you can tell they're looking to make a dollar anywhere and when your drink are in stainless steel cups or non breakable tumblers those should be permitted at the pool deck.

Spring Break

Overall we had a great stay. The location was great for beach access, but we did need to drive to dinner every night (we were expecting this). We cooked breakfast and lunch in the room each day. There were a few items missing from the kitchen that should be replaced. For example there were six of us there, but there were only 5 small forks (the inventory sheet said there should have been 8). Other missing items included sugar packets and coffee that said they were included. There was one packet of decaf and an open coffee packet missing the sugar (only the stir stick and the napkin were remaining). There should have also been a broom and dustpan included per the inventory sheet, but there wasn't. Not having this was a bit annoying as we were constantly brushing sand off our feet since we couldn't sweep the floors. We did text the number that texted us and said if we needed anything to text that number, but we never heard back. One text was about a late check in and the other was about the broom and dust pan. No big deal that we didn't hear back as they weren't emergencies, but a response back would have been nice. Other things that I think the kitchen could use are mixing bowls and any type of storage container with lid to keep food covered in the fridge. We ended up just using pots to keep food covered in the fridge. Once again it wasn't a big deal, but something to look into. There were also no sand toys anywhere for kids, so we ended up stopping at a family dollar and picking up beach set and extra shovels. We did rinse all of these items and placed them back in the bag and in the closet for the next family. Nothing was broke and still look new. As for the room itself everything was clean and in working condition. A few things could have been a tad cleaner, but we wiped everything down when we got there and had a great vacation. The pool was great, the ocean water was clean (not a lot of shells) and was warm enough to swim in. We wanted outdoor water seating, so we ended up going to Schukers twice while there. There are other restaurants around, but with kids this was the best place that we found. Thank you for the stay

Hotel Alexander Collins Ave

Big shout out to Vanessa our host . She attended to our needs/ concerns without hesitation. There were several things needing repairs/ attention . And Vanessa got this done immediately . Can't fault the host in anyway . However the property I would not choose to stay there again. No breakfast /dining area or bar. In an area that has nothing close by . Yes there is the free tram ride outside which took about 20 minutes to get to Lincoln road or any other local amenities . Wish I'd known this before. Looking on the map it " looked" fairly central. It wasn't. Need to do more research.of location.next time . The two pools were located a short way from the beach . Which was nice . But if you want to lie on the beach it costs $50 for two loungers and an umbrella per day . Unless you bring your own. 2 small chairs and an umbrella were in the unit . However with 5 Adults and one infant ,inadequate . Forget buying drinks at the pool bar .Rip off outrageously expensive . Food too( served in to go boxes) . Everywhere signs No outside food ,coolers or drinks allowed . We had an infant ( formula) Was told by the Security guard . Not allowed .Music is blasted all day long . Approx 20 songs on repeat . The appartment is spacious with a side balcony . Beautiful views . Two chairs on balcony ,unfortunately older and very dirty . Inside One large Master bedroom With ensuite 2nd bedroom 2 Queens large closet very tight .space.Old old tiny bathroom. Shower dripped constantly AC Very loud . Had to turn it off at night ,couldn't sleep with the racket .if you intend to just relax at pool and can afford their food and drink go for it In itself ,It could be made into a fantastic place if it was remodelled . But Old old plug sockets just put on the wall like you'd find in a basement . Slap job repair of cement on walls . Grout etc . Quick fix . Vents were all old rusty and absolutely filthy . Microwave was rusty and food caked on the door looked years old . cupboards No proper shelving for pots and pans all thrown in. 2 frying pans somewhat usable . Parking . $30 nightly .Inaccurate 50% more per night . Unacceptable . I stayed on Collins Ave very close to Lincoln Road . Parking $25 Per night .The unit is overpriced .whopping service fee added don't know why . Property damage fee extra. Room cleaning fee extra . For a 1980's 2 bed old unit Not worth it..I can do without. the hassle of security checks if I'm smuggling food or drink .Third attempt at submitting this .
