Ski villa at the ridge

This was a great place to stay for my wife and I, and 2 other couples. This was perfect for the section ski race weekend. We will definitely try to rent this place again. Loved the breakfast nook as well. Well done!

Great Getaway Ski Weekend!

We stayed Friday to Monday. It’s a great location. Less than 5 minutes to the ski hill and 10 min from biwabik for groceries. Had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Great Stay at Giants Ridge

This was a great location for our party of 5 who were visiting for a wedding. The villa was clean, spacious and close to the beach/pool area. Would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a family vacation. Thank you Shawn for being an excellent host!

great time at Giants Ridge

Our time at this VRBO was so fun. The place was spotless when we arrived. The villa was cosy and well designed. Owner Shaun was always timely with responses to questions or concerns before and during our stay.

Cozy and modern. Perfect for our family getaway

Our family loves to get “up north” in the winter and the villa was just what we hoped. Clean and cozy, our family of 6 settled right in and enjoyed the loft sleeping area, the fireplace, cottage style table, and the well appointed kitchen. We loved the style and convenience to Giants Ridge for some chilly but enjoyable ski days. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had our door code in plenty of time. Arriving at night and in sub-zero temps, that was very appreciated. We all agreed we would come back.

great spot

We highly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well equipped--kitchen and baths had everything you could need. It was well-kept. Great location near the lake. Only glitch was that we didn't receive our door code in advance, so we had to call the property manager for access upon arrival, but our call was promptly answered and we got in right away. Great customer service.

Perfection!

The property exceeded expectations and was perfect for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, beds were comfortable, and the common spaces were light and bright! The property has access to a beach with a beautiful view and the pool was great for the kids! Giants Ridge in the summer time offers something for everyone! We’ll be back again!

Clean and cozy cabin with a beautiful view

We were extremely happy with everything at this property! It was clean, well stocked, and comfortable in every way. The kids enjoyed the wonderful beach and playground area, and having the multiple docks was great for leaving the boat during the day. The lake and trails around the area give you plenty of things to do. We look forward to coming back to this area next year!

Perfect for a long weekend getaway

Beautiful, clean, well maintained place with a kitchen with all the essentials, deck with ample outdoor seating, and access to the lake where you can rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats for free as well as access to the resort’s pool, hot tub, tennis court, and fire pit. Also the check in process was extremely easy and did not require any person-to-person contact which of course is very valuable right now! Only comment is I did think from the photos on the listing that this unit looked out directly on the water, it actually overlooks another unit and then the trees and water are past that. Highly recommend and we will be coming back!

I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going!

I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Looking forward to some time in Scandinavia next.

Having operated my vacation rental properties for about a decade now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests from all over the planet, and have enjoyed being part of the community in my hosting and travels.

I enjoy this property because it a 1 minute walk to the skiing (alpine lifts and xc trails) in the winter, and next to all the summer recreation as well. Easy access just off the Giants Ridge Road, with the Mesabi Trail, hiking trails, beach/water sports, and Giants Ridge golf, mountain bike trails, climbing tower, and restaurants all within 1/4 mile.
