Disappointed

Kitchen good, bed comfortable, clean. Temperature 67 and adjusted by owner (who did raise some on request). Strong smell of dog on arrival. No view of mountains, not a great neighborhood.. Do not recommend for special get away.

Extended stay

I was there for work in Asheville. It was a short drive. And very peaceful for daytime sleeping. It was a great two month stay.

Critter Hill Perfection

This is an immaculate studio over the garage. It is well stocked with all the essentials plus some! I never met the owners, but we were in communication via texts and they were very responsive. A beautiful fenced backyard for your critter.

Great place to stay for Asheville visit

Laurie and Mike are great hosts - the apartment was clean and well-stocked, and the property itself is quiet while still being convenient to downtown Asheville. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy, and I had no issues of note during my stay. I would gladly stay again next time I come to the area!

Asheville Meet Up

Came to Asheville from Illinois to meet up with my daughter/SIL who were traveling from Texas to Maryland. We both had our pups and really appreciated the backyard for free roaming time. We cooked in and found all the utensils we needed. We went out hiking and enjoyed coming back to a cozy spot for movies. Overall, a great place to hang out.

Excellent Stay

Perfect place not to far from downtown Asheville. It was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice studio!

Super well stocked studio over owners’ garage. Nicely furnished and a great rental if you have a dog. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything in Asheville. Highly recommend.

Quick weekend

We had a 2 night stay in NC for a lacrosse tourney. This was the perfect place. The location made it easy for us to pick up food quickly when needed and it was easy to navigate to the places we needed to go to. We would definitely recommend to family and friends!

Nice property close to town. Not recommended if you can't handle stairs, though. Otherwise, peaceful & very clean. Paved driveway was great. Comfy bed & larger than it looks in the pictures. Thanks!

Secluded yet close to Asheville

This was a great location, and we were able to bring our dog! We didn’t want to be right in town, but we wanted to be able to get to Asheville quickly. This was perfect! The fenced in yard area was great. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to everything we needed. They even had a dog crate that was big enough for our 60 lb dog. They have compiled an information book on the area that is full of great suggestions. We would definitely stay again.

17th Anniversary

My husband and I were looking to get away for some rest and relaxation and we were able to get both on this stay. The owners were very nice and accomidating and the unit was clean and cozy. The Biltmore was an easy 20 minute ride and shopping and dining were easily accessible.

Best of Both Worlds

The stay was awesome! Very nice people and easy to talk to. It didnt feel awkward and you still were secluded but close to everything. Best of both worlds with Ashville and nature so close by!

Dog friendly studio

We had a great visit at critter hill. The studio was clean and well designed. The owners provided all the extras you need when traveling with a dog: bowls, crate, dirty paw towels, etc. There is a nice-sized, fenced in backyard for playtime. The location is just outside west Asheville, so it’s an short drive into town. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

Had a wonderful time at this property. Mike and Laurie were great hosts and the space was incredibly clean. I would definitely recommend this to others and would be happy to stay again! Close to downtown Asheville and works as a good base for many outdoor activities!
