Wonderful home close enough for Penn state games. This was our second year staying. Owners are very responsive. The place is tastefully furnished and well appointed. The basement is awesome! It feels remote but is still close to state college. The winery next door has surprisingly good wines. We will definitely be back.

We stayed for Parents Weekend at Penn State. It was an easy drive and a really nice alternative to a hotel. I actually wished we had more time to spend at the house. It's secluded but not remote or creepy. Nice wooded area and you don't notice any neighbors. The basement kitchen/patio area is a great set up for outdoor entertaining. The place was very clean and had nice homey touches. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. One suggestion would be to add a smaller saucepan with a lid for cooking. Owner was super responsive.

A stay at the Haven has become an annual tradition for our family. It’s the perfect combination of convenience to State College and a peaceful mountain getaway.

We stayed at The Haven after returning to Penn State 25 years after graduating. The house is secluded and quiet, but has so much natural lighting despite being heavily wooded. It was clean, and everything in the house worked as expected. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed for a weekend stay. As it was just my wife and I, we didn't have a need to use the basement entertainment area, but breakfast on the deck in the morning was a real treat! If you don't mind being out of town, this was a great place to bounce into and out of State College and Bellfonte. We had a blast staying here, and hope to stay again in the future.

The property is just how it looks in the pictures. We only stayed 1 night but with two kitchens and many sleeping areas it would be great for many visitors. The only drawback is it’s in the middle of the woods and only 25 miles an hour to get there. It is only a couple miles so not terrible. Overall a great stay.

This house was perfect for our long girls weekend. We had some drinks around the fire, enjoyed games at the table and loved all the extra little amenities the house offers. GREAT communication with the owner. House was so clean and located in such a peaceful area. It is a drive to get anywhere but as to be expected in that area. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

It was a nice place & very clean. It had beautiful scenery with the house nestled in the woods. Very peaceful!! Just wished the second bathroom was on the main floor so we didn’t have to go downstairs to shower when there were 2 couples staying.

The Haven

The Haven is a very Beautiful place to stay It is very clean and a lot of utilities to use. It is also quiet and so relaxing. There is a winery just down the road. We went to Penn’s Cave and wildlife park and it is not that far of a distance from the Haven. If I ever had the chance to stay here again I would do it in a heartbeat!!

Blue White Weekend

Our stay was great! Couldn’t ask for better hosts. Glynn went above and beyond and I appreciated his efforts. The house was perfect for our group- we loved staying in a wooded setting that was still a short drive to campus. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, beds super comfortable. Spent most of our time downstairs and outside socializing and playing games. Added bonus was the winery about a mile down the road.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! We stayed one night to attend a concert at Penn State and the views were stunning. Everything was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Can't wait to stay again for a longer getaway.

Peaceful & Quiet Getaway

Booked this beautiful home for our daughters basketball tournament at Penn State which sports parents all know can be a very chaotic weekend of always being on the go so it was so nice to escape that environment and come back to such a quiet & peaceful place and decompress each night! The kids had a blast in the basement & loft & the house was stocked with everything we needed! Just was very easy to communicate with & would rebook in a heartbeat!

Blue Haven

We stayed at Blue Haven for the last Penn State football game of the season. The location was perfect, a quick drive away from campus. Communication with the host was great, quick to reply to any questions. The house is beautiful and incredibly well appointed, with many thoughtful touches. It is spacious and well furnished. The basement is incredible, sadly we were there on a freezing cold day but it would be an amazing place to host a summer event. We definitely hope to stay there again!
