April 2025 Stay

Our large family celebrated a wonderful Easter weekend at Stairway to Heaven. The house was perfect for our family. it was conveniently located close to Gatlinburg and everything was vey clean and we had no maintenance issues. The house was roomy and we appreciate you, Matt&April sharing your home with us.

Great cabin in a great location

The rental process and communication was very smooth from beginning to end. The house was spacious, clean and everything seemed new. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Our family thoroughly enjoyed all the games. The only suggestion would be to add an extra couch on the main floor off the kitchen for additional seating. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property to friends!

December 2024 Stay

I would love to give a 5 star review. The cabin was perfect except for one thing: there were no Christmas decorations. We had 4 generations of family to celebrate Christmas and we didn’t even have a Christmas tree. It was disappointing for the 9 children. Otherwise the It is a perfect location. So close to downtown and everything you could need, gas station, grocery store, etc.

The hot tub never got over 99 degrees, and the second hot tub didn't work at all. There were roaches all over the kitchen. The house wasn't very clean at all. For what we paid, I would've expected more.

Another Great Stay!

Family vacation

We visit multiple times every year, & so far this has been our favorite cabin, we seen bears every day we was here, not just one but multiple! It was the sweetest thing! Cabin was super roomy & we plan to stay again next year. Totally recommend!

House was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom which was great. Location was also wonderful, not too far from town or attractions. Def will book again.

Best Trip!

A “bear-y” good time!!

The property that we stayed at fit the bill perfectly for our family reunion. But new guests should be made aware, though that there is a contingency of bears that prowl the property day and night. These bears walk the property including in the parking lot and will approach your car and attempt to get in your car. One resident below our cabin, left his car doors open (turned out to be the housekeeper) and we watched the bear saunter over and after sniffing around on the cabins front porch, decided to scavenge in their car. He found nothing and left. Most of our guests cars had been bear pawed , but surprisingly weren’t scratched. But they were fun to watch and they really weren’t aggressive so it really wasn’t actually a problem but everywhere you go you see them. We would come back to your cabin again, lots of room, everything worked, the kids had a great time too!!

Family of 17 enjoys getting together

Our family had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed playing all the electronic and table games. Lots to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There is limited play room close to the property.

Great House

Two refrigerators and dishwashers were awesome to have. My only complaint (I didn’t report it) was the condition of the pool and area around it. It was dirty and trash and leaves were all over, pool water was not clear.

A wonderful place for our family of 16 to gather and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains. This was not just a cabin, it was a home that provided ample room for gathering, bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone, large enough to provide privacy when needed, fully equipped kitchen with all needed items to prepare food, dining area with 3 tables to serve meals and host a UNO tournament, porches with rockers to view the magnificent scenery and two hot tubs to unwind after a busy day hiking. Would we stay here again? Absolutely and would recommend to others who looking for a place to house a large group. Thank you to our hosts for providing a place to create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Basketball Team with Parents

We were in town for a tournament and brought several families with the team. The cabin was perfect for separating the team downstairs and the families upstairs. Everything was clean and we had an awesome time. Would definitely stay here again!!

Family Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Thursday evening after our check in we noticed the air on the 3rd floor was not working. Called the maintenance line and had to leave a message. At 9:30 the next morning we had to call them back as we still hadn't heard from them. A rude man was sent out and treated as we didn't know how to set a theromstate. It still wasn't fixed we called again and were told a HVAC company would be out at 4. They worked until around 5ish. Once they left the temp upstairs went up over 85 degrees. We had to fight with maintenance to get someone to come back out. My family was in Gatlinburg for a marathon in memory of my brother. Who was killed in action. The opening g ceremony was on Friday evening while we were having to fight maintenance to believe us that the air unit still wasn't working. They finally sent someone back out but that wasn't until almost 8 at night. It was finally fixed with this third visit which ended after 9 o clock at night. We were in town for a little over 48 hours and 24 of it was spent dealing with the maintenance department and air unit. There were also cockroaches in the kitchen. The house had several activities that everyone could enjoy however the maintance issues with the property made all the positives be negated. It isn't that something happened, I can handle that it is how the maintained department handled the issue that everyone has a complaint with.
