Excellent location

Excellent location. Quick walk to a great beach across the street. Plenty of great food options nearby as well. Host was communicative. The bed frame was broken upon arrival and had the maintenance address the issue within a timely manner.

Enjoyed my stay!

Enjoyed my stay here while in Maui. The location is exactly how described. Prime location in Kihei right across from the beach and nearby to local shops and restaurants. The unit was nice, quiet and check-in was very quick and easy.

Perfect location! Great stay

Beautiful location, clean and peaceful stay in Kihei! Looked just like the pictures, had many amenities that are useful for any vacation. Beach was literally across the street!! Thank you to the hosts for their kindness and generosity. We loved every part of being there. Mahalo!

Maui vacation in Kihei

We had a great time. Convenient unit near many restaurants and good base to travel to other places around the island. Having amenities that a hotel cannot offer is convenient for family vacation. Like a home away from home.

Excellent

Unit was great. Convenient, short walking distance to beach and shops, restaurants. Host Vacation-Maui was excellent, the best we’ve had in all our stays in Maui. Communication from Vacation-Maui was excellent, kept you informed. Replacement of a slight leak with the AC tank pump was completed immediately. Would stay here again.

Great property, great location!

The property was very clean and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Just like in the photos. Property manager was great to communicate with and arrival/departure was easy and convenient. Beautiful Kam II beach was right across the street. Restaurants, groceries and rental gear/tours all within close walking distance. We used the beach chairs, beach towels and cooler every day. Only thing to note was that there were no boogie boards as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Had a great stay!

Wonderful Place

Kihei Akahi is a wonderful place to stay. Centrally located near a lot of restaurants, the beach, and other awesome things to do. And be there before the office closes at 4:30. They are VERY strict with "closes at 4:30". We literally got there at 4:31 and the door was locked and nobody answered the door.

Super clean apartment.

A super clean apartment. Very easy communication with managers. Nice location to go to Wailea resort area, and cross the street from a nice beach. Well furnished apartment with all kitchen facilities. Sitting on the small balcony, looking down to flowering plumeria trees and listening to bird singing while having breakfast are among the best parts of staying in this apartment.

The vacation home was great!

Loved the apartment and all of its amenities! It made our stay very pleasant and easy to have access to the beach, restaurants nearby, including gear for the beach. The little patio was fantastic for evenings. A few cons, that could be ignored depending on your sensitivity to noise -- the AC was a bit loud every time it kicked on but we kept it off at night as it is wasn't really needed. There was at least one feral rooster outside the complex (which is generally a major problem across the whole island right now) and since the bedroom is right next to the street, we heard it crowing at 3-5am every morning, without fail. I'm a pretty light sleeper so it was an issue for me but my husband (who can sleep through more than I can) was also bothered by the crowing. I don't think this would have changed our reservation for the place but just something to be aware of!

Good place!

We enjoyed our stay here. The best things about this rental are the location to the beach and food (so close), the newly renovated everything makes it really nice, bed is comfy, lots of fans, lots of beach gear provided, and it's clean. The only complaints we had were the A/C struggles to get to the bedroom. It is in the main area and difficult to cool off the back where you sleep. I also would not recommend this for people needing the hide-a-bed, as there are no curtains to block out the light in that room. Also, the beach gear was not guaranteed, take note. We hoped there would be boogie boards but there was just one little one that didn't work and we wished we'd have bought some, so we just rented. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of. So many beach options nearby, especially if you have a car and love exploring. Many places to eat in walking distance. Several nights we'd walk to get food and then find a spot to watch the sunset while we ate, it was awesome! Then you walk home and avoid all the traffic from people who drove to watch the sunset. The beach right by the condo was one of our favorites. We snorkeled, saw turtles, boogied, you could paddle board too. Great location.

Perfect Location in Paradise

The condo is clean with new modern furniture and appliances. The best part is the amazing beach right across the street. It is one of the safest for swimming and we appreciated the beach chairs, towels and umbrella to make our beach time comfortable. We met many nice people down by the pool and at the barbecue. We will be back again.

Need More Toilet Paper

We enjoyed our stay at Kihei. The apartment is small but nice and neat. No AC in the bedroom but a ceiling fan. Prepare to bring/ buy your own toilet paper if you are staying for more than a week. Only starter pack (5 rolls) is given for guests as we were told by the management office staff.

The best location, and great upgraded space

The complex this is in is such a prime location, and the grounds are well kept. We’ve stayed at many properties here, and loved the modern upgrades on this one. For the stay in late January, we almost didn’t even need the AC. We appreciated the extras as well, boogie boards, umbrella, cooler, and beach chairs. Everything was great, and working with the property manager was awesome too.
