First time winter wonderland renters

We've never rented during the winter season; what a huge learning curve. We arrived to an unplowed driveway and an unshoveled 3 level staircase to the front door. We made it all the way up the knee deep staircase to the front door to find out that this is not the door with a remote lock. You're supposed to use the side entry garage door, but it doesn't say that in any of the property descriptions. I called Taylor Made and asked them to plow/shovel but they only plow the driveway when there is more than a 6 inch snowfall, and they never shovel sidewalks/steps as that is the "owners" responsibility. We found snow shovels in the garage and made do with some narrow walkways in/out of the house. We house is spacious and beautiful. Well appointed decorations with great gathering spaces and comfortable beds and furniture.The nitty gritty:The dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes upon arrival. The grill is unuseable as the porch is snow covered and not cleared. The icicles hanging off the house were scary, especially the ones that hung over the garage entrance (which is where the skiers/snowboards are supposed to enter). The internet connection is very poor, especially as more people started to use it. The shower in the downstairs bathroom had the hot and cold water reversed, making it confusing to take a hot shower.The community made a great effort to keep the roads passable during the 12 inch snowfall.

Very nice

The only issue I had was all the spider webs around the entrance/exits of the property and there were a few dead birds on the deck. Over all we had a good time…
