Great space and location

I’ve been coming to Humboldt for years and never stayed on a Victorian! Absolutely loved the space and it’s right down street from historic mansion! Amazing open spaces - everything you need and more! Would love to stay again!

Comfortable, Relaxing & Well Appointed

Just like home! Beautifully furnished and supplied, comfy bed. Lots of space to visit with family. We were also very thankful for the washer and dryer too. We'd definitely stay here again!!

Excellent Stay, Wonderful Unit

Spacious, well-appointed unit. Comfortable bed and bedroom, gorgeous updated kitchen with everything you need, large dining and living areas, laundry room and dishwasher, ROKU TV. One of the nicest, most appealing VRBOs we have ever rented.

Loved location of the Lilac House

Beautiful space and location

Perfectly pleasant area for walking and viewing local architecture as well and close to shops and dining. We enjoyed the kitchen island space especially and easily played cards at the dining table in the next room. The bed and living room pull out were both very comfortable.

Beautiful restored Victorian

Spacious kitchen- thoughtfully equipped. Comfortable dining and living room. Bedroom had plenty of drawer and armoire space for our clothes and belongings. 1-1/2 baths w plenty of towels and paper products. Appreciate the complimentary coffee and cleaning products! This home is at a great location to access the waterfront trail and Old Town shops and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!

Bright and Beautiful!

The Lilac Victorian was everything we hoped it would be! Beautifully remodeled, this rental has the classic design elements of a Victorian home, yet includes the conveniences offered by modern updates. It is spacious and full of light, and is the perfect place to come home to after exploring the local state and national parks.One caveat: if there are tenants in the upper floor of the home, you may hear footsteps. We had second floor neighbors who were courteous, but kept much later hours than we did. While this was not a game changer for us, it is something to keep in mind. Regardless, we recommend the Lilac Victorian as a wonderful place to stay!

Walk down memory lane

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean. Loved the mix of old and new furnishings. Charmed by the reading nook. Only recommendation would be to improve the night stand and related electrical access to accommodate C-pap machine. Easy walk to old town and just one block away from the beautiful Carson mansion. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting the Victorian experience within walking distance to old town.

Great Rental We Thoroughly Enjoyed

Overall very positive stay. Only hiccup was never receiving the key box code via text and having to scramble to get that upon arrival. Would highly recommend this rental to others.

Lilac House is charming.

Lilac House reminded us of a house we lived in during college. Rather what our college rental might have been if we had had the money and imagination to “fix it up.” We didn’t want our weekend stay to end. It was relaxing and just what we wanted: great location; clean, well- appointed rooms; delightful kitchen with everything we could possibly have needed. We want to return and bring family members….maybe rent the entire house for the whole gang, not just the ground floor.

Old Town Gem

This cute little Victorian is right at the end of the street a block from the Carson mansion, which is awesome. And also only a few blocks from the old town area with all the shops and restaurants. Great location. Everything we needed. Only problem was the Internet was slow- but not a dealbreaker for us.

Short stay

The house was lovely, comfortable and clean. Only issue was the heat was off and it took a couple of hours to warm up. We texted the manager and they responded immediately, offering to bring a second space heater. We went out to dinner and when we got back it was fine.

Better location than suggested

The house is immaculate with every convenience. It is large and airy and very comfortable with the pictures very accurate. Location to old town and the waterfront was so much better than we realised. Your are virtually waterfront and it’s only 2 mins to Carson house one way and lovely bars and restaurants, and the boat, the other. It is managed by a company which feels less personal, they didn’t respond with any suggested things to do as an example, but would recommend based on the quality of the property and the location. Groceries are about a 5 - 10 minute drive but choice of great bars and restaurants walking distance. Really easy access back onto main roads so great location to base yourself to explore the surrounding area. Thanks for lovely stay

Amazing Home

I absolutely loved this place. I wanted to stay in a Victorian home for a writing and hiking retreat. One of the books I'm writing I've set in this area in a Victorian home and this really helped me envision what I set out to do. The home is tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen but with some of the original amazing workmanship preserved. It was so clean. Thank you for that! Also, the washer and dryer is a nice touch and so needed. This space is way roomy for two people. I didn't use the fold out couch but it is in the front sitting room and could be private and quiet for those wanting an extra bed. The proximity to Old Town and restaurants is amazing. I loved walking to the restaurants and going on a self led walking tour of the Victorian architecture through the neighborhoods near Old Town. There are quite a bit of homeless in town and one morning they shouted at each other outside the window which was a little scary. However, I walked everywhere as a solo female traveler and never had problems. I would just suggest keeping items secure while walking like not carrying a wallet in a back pocket The proximity to the Redwood Forest is amazing and I was able to do some awesome hikes. Overall, I couldn't have found a more perfect place that was clean, comfortable and so historic.

Lilac Victorian

The place was extremely clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. It was close to all the downtown Eureka shopping and restaurants. I also felt safe. I hope to stay again.

Lovely space

We loved this home! Peekaboo views of the water, full kitchen for cooking, and cozy and quiet at night. Great spot to come back to at the end of the day :) we would absolutely book again!
