Oceanside retreat

Sits high above the beach by about 400 feet. Great view of the ocean and still can hear the sounds of the ocean. Great cabin feel to the house.

Costal gem

The house was great, thoughtfully designed and decorated, beautiful view, and well maintained. It feels like a home and not just somebody’s short term rental “hustle.” A little bit of a hike if you walk to and from town but worth it and good for getting the blood pumping. We wish we could stay here all summer, definitely a favorite.

Heavenly and cozy

I loved the high in the trees …the beautiful pine interior … the awesome ocean veiws from every room….and the cozy wood stove on a rainy day… this is always my first choice when I come to the coast..

A Fine House For a Weekend

Oceanside is a great spot. Quiet, beautiful beaches, iconic lighthouse. This house provides wonderful views, spacious decks, a cozy sitting area in the living room, and comfy beds. Bring your own firewood/

Lovely home!

Pros- Great views, extremely spacious, drivable to multiple restaurants and grocery stores, hikes near-by, lots of extra towels, blankets, pillows, very pet friendly! Cons- low walk score, uncomfortable beds, no emergency supplies (batteries, flashlights, candles, etc.)

Views

This place was really good for us. We were able to see the tide from the loft and we were only a few minutes from the beach walks we enjoy so much. The house was not super clean but they had enough extra sheets to cover the couches. We had an issue while staying here and Vacasa got a taken care of in a timely manner. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking in Oceanside.

Pretty relaxing home

Very nice mountain cabin vibe with the all wood interior and high ceiling. Sitting on the balconies you can see and hear the ocean which is nice. Be aware of that the mattresses are really hard, so bring a foam cushion if you want to. Needs a new microwave and there was no can opener. Beautiful location. Great place for quiet relaxation.

Good location

I tried several times to connect with the owners or vacasa. I never heard back from anyone. Several times! I was unable to use the cable and there were two big games my family wanted to watch. Internet was spotty at best. I don't go to the beach for internet and tv but it's advertised with both. Kitchen cookware needs a serious upgrade.

A couple of glitches but mostly great.

2 things were problematic. First, I couldn’t get the door code to work. Fortunately, I’d kept the phone # for help handy, and whomever I called helped me get in the place. Secondly, the DVR and tv weren’t functioning well. However, the management company sent out a helpful young man, and the cable company was also summoned. This would not have been a big deal, but it rained hard during a couple of days, which crimped outdoor activities. But the view from the house is beautiful and there are several porches to enjoy it from, a couple of which are covered and dry. The house is great. Beautiful and spacious. Almost anyone would enjoy their time there. We brought 2 dogs, who also enjoyed their stay.

not clean and not well maintained

The house was not cleaned well enough (although we paid 137 USD for cleaning): the floor, several horizontal surfaces and the windows in the living room had not been cleaned well and there was a lot of dust on the stairs and other horizontal surfaces and one cooking pan was dirty. Two of the four chairs on the deck are broken, and pose a risk when someone would try to sit on them. The description of the house boasts a piano and a telescope, but the piano is not tuned and not really playable and the telescope does not work properly There are only 2 wineglasses, no toaster in the kitchen and only 4 clotheshangers in the entire house. This could be a very nice house, but it definitely deserves a thorough cleaning and repairs and updates!

Cozy and roomy stay

This cozy cabin had lots of places to gather for talking, games, reading, or watching a movie. The windows look out on the beautiful scenery of ocean and woods! There are lots of stairs. Oceanside is full of vacation homes and only has a couple restaurants, so be sure to grab anything you might need ahead of time(things like snacks, firewood, toiletries, etc )

Amazing find, planning on coming back!

This place is even better than the pictures! The view is stunning and the house is HUGE. Came for a romantic getaway this time but would like to come back with friends again just to share how epic this spot is. If you are down for a steeper walk, the ocean is only about 15 minutes away. Easy 2 minute drive.

Best getaway ever

Thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay in this beautiful, wood paneled house with all the comforts of home. It felt like we were in a treehouse perched above the beach.

Beautiful June visit!

Thanks for sharing your much-loved home with us. We loved the pet-friendly atmosphere and the piano (hope the neighbours did!)! The home is well-provisioned for VRBO folks and the experience of both beautiful coastal days and wild Pacific storms was wonderful.

Haven indeed!

We stayed here with our 4 kids for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this home in the trees. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved how cozy the place felt. Also plenty of space for our family of 6!

Birdhouse on the hill overlooking the ocean

This was a delightful home! We called it our birdhouse, nestled on the hill high among the treetops with spectacular views of the ocean. The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped for meals. Downstairs bunkbed is a bit shaky, but provided some good laughter (and we opted not to put anyone on the top bunk after the first evening). The walk to the beach was fantastic - refreshingly close to the water without being immediately next to it. We will definitely consider a return. Thanks!
