Awesome Place To Stay in St Ignace

Stayed at the house for the UP Pond hockey tournament. Great location and very nice home. We got a bunch of snow and the host was very proactive in ensuring the driveway was plowed. I’d certainly recommend and would love to stay again next year - Scooters Shooters

Cozy and Relaxing

My husband and I loved our stay here. The location is a great launching point for other U.P. attractions if you're looking to sightsee, or if you prefer to stay put and relax the home itself has an unbeatable view, is very clean, warm and welcoming, nicely decorated, and has an abundance of cozy places to settle down in. I so thoroughly enjoyed having morning breakfast and coffee on the deck, and evenings reading in the comfortable chairs in the living room gave the refreshment we needed. The home had everything we needed and more, and was an absolute gem of a find.

UP visit

We loved this property! It had beautiful views. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit one evening. It had everything we needed for a few days away from home.

Could have been a tad cleaner

Owner was very hands off. You can’t beat the location of this property. Only way it could have been better is if there wasn’t a road between the water and the house. It was cleaner than you would expect but could have been better - there was white stains on the sheets on the bed I jumped into the first night. Then I needed to go find extra sheets in a closet to set up the sofa couch which had no bedding. The Coffee machine needed a thorough cleaning before being used. S’mores were provided which was nice. We enjoyed the great weather and visiting the island!

Beautiful Views

The house had a beautiful view to watch the freighters pass by and watch the sunset. The house had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. We would definitely return.

Absolutely Perfect

Absolutely perfect place to stay. Centrally located to many activities/destinations. Beautiful cabin with outstanding views of the Straights of Mackinaw. Great Lakes ship traffic, view of the Mackinaw bridge, and gorgeous sunsets were amazing! Very quiet location that is easy to get to. Cabin is so adorable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner is very thoughtful in providing amenities that make the stay so relaxing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cabin in that area!

Maine to the UP

We decided on the UP for our annual road trip vacation. MaryJo's house was perfect for our stay. Very clean, comfortable, the views are amazing. Our daughter loved walking over to the lake in the morning and marshmellows were toasted nightly by the fire. Great jumping off spot for exploring the UP.

Great location

This was our first VRBO experience. Our kids are in college and it was nice for all of us to have our own space. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We had a great trip.

St Ignace

This house is a cute place to relax and enjoy watching the freighters and cruise ships going by. View of the Mighty Mac and sunsets (sunrises too if you are an early riser) from the beach. Lots of birds to watch too. House to well supplied with cooking utensils and good pots and pans. The mattresses need an update but still not the worst we've ever slept on. People are friendly in the area. Always a wave and how ya doing. So ya, a pretty darn nice place to get away to.

Fabulous Lake View

Beautiful lake view on lovely property. Cute nautical decor and lots of comfortable seating inside and out. Enjoyed the cool breezes off the lake and sound of gulls in the morning. Located in a very quiet neighborhood on a seldom traveled road, perfect for a morning walk or run. Very clean and good communication. Launching point for several UP attractions.

Beautiful Views!!

Beautiful home and property. Our kids had a great time and we all felt at home. The chairs on the front lawn and fire pit setting were perfect. It was wonderful to have breakfast every morning and enjoy the lakeview.

The Month of May at the Straits of Mackinac

Stay at this marvelous (and affordable!) house with a deck view of the lake waters where Huron and Michigan meet. Quiet. Peaceful. Perfect.

Midges-Flies!

House and view was great! The flies (midges) were the worst, we could not sit outside or enjoy anything outdoors. The neighbor said he couldn't do that to someone, owners are fully aware when they hatch . We all work so hard and to spend money on a trip we could Not go outside was the WORST~!! Never in my life have I seen anything like this!!! I could never do this someone. :(

Best vacation rental ever!

This is by far one of the best rentals we have ever experienced. The views are amazing, loved watching the sunset around the firepit, walks to the beach at the end of the road, watching the boats, the indoor fireplace. We were there to go dog sledding in McMillan, which is about an hour away from St. Ignace. A perfect day filled with sunshine, and perfect snow, we loved the dog sledding! I must mention, we lost a wallet on our first day, never found it, cancelled credit cards, went to St, Ignace Secretary of State to get new drivers license in less than 20 minutes! When we arrived home in Ann Arbor on Saturday, there was an overnight fed ex package with the wallet in it. Someone found it and put it in a mailbox and the post office sent to us! A perfect ending to a week in paradise. We highly, highly recommend this rental, Mary Jo was wonderful with our questions and even loaned us her binoculars!
