Vårt hem är en bekväm och rymlig 5-sovrum, 5 badrumsbyggnad vid havet utan hindrad utsikt och bokstavligen inom några meter från Mexikanska golfen. Soluppgångar och solnedgångar är helt fantastiska att se från verandan och denna ö är verkligen viken bäst bevarade hemlighet. Det är inredda i Medelhavet, ljusa och glada med en bekväm familjevänlig inredning. Huset sover 12 - två king size-sovrum, två queen-size sovrum och 2 queen size-sängar i det femte sovrummet. En extra stor öppen planlösning med vardagsrum, matbord med 8 personer, bar för 6 personer och modernt kök med bänkskivor i granit och apparater i rostfritt stål ger gott om utrymme för alla att sprida ut och koppla av. Du kan hyra cyklar, kajaker och andra öleksaker och den mycket välskötta cykelleden går från väst till östra änden av ön. Ön är känd för sitt fantastiska fiske! Skinner's, lokal fiskare, tar med färska räkor och dagens fångst och är en av våra favoritplatser!

We have stayed here before. Same experience!! Beautiful views, direct beach access. House is in used condition and needs a little tlc but we spent our time on the beach!!

Great Vacation Home

The location is perfect if you want to stay on the beach all day. The amenities are fine and the kitchen was large enough to cook for a large group. The deck definitely needs work but it did not hinder us from having a good time.

Family Vacay

We LOVED this property. It was perfect for our family dynamic and age ranges. We appreciated each bedroom having its own bathroom. Our favorite aspect was the beach being so close; we didn’t have to set up a tent or carry chairs back and forth each night. Very convenient with the kids. Lots to do on the island as well.

Spring Break Family Vacation

Spent alot of time on the beach with the kiddos, took the Mobile Bay Ferry over to Gulf shores for a day of arcade games, go carts and putt-putt golf. Very Enjoyable, home is right on the water.

Fantastic Location

The house is so close to the ocean!! There were a few maintenance issues and the kitchen is not stocked super well. Management was easy to communicate with and overall, we had a great vacation in the home. Would definitely rent again!

Perfect Family Vacation

Property owner and manager were VERY helpful. House was clean! Could have used more bath and kitchen towels, pot holders and kitchen utensils however the necessities were there. The view and beach access was AMAZING! We loved our stay. House has some wear and tear but nothing that would make us not go back! In fact, we are already planning our next stay.

Great family getaway

Despite the unfavorable weather during some of the trip, we all still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home has a great floor plan allowing us to spread out and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for preparing meals. We were disappointed there was no grill but made the best of what we had. We spent most of our time on the porch or under the house in the nice shade watching the waves roll in and our guys fishing. During the rainy days we enjoyed the aquarium and riding the ferry over to Fort Morgan. Owner was very helpful with clear and concise information on check in and check out and always available to answer any questions. We can’t wait to go back next year.

Family time

We enjoyed the location being so close to the beach. No need to drag tents. Everyone loved having their on bedroom and bath. It is time for some maintance and upgrading. But when family is able to be together you can overlook some things.

Family vacation

The house was nice but it needs some work on it. We spent the week digging splinters out of our grandbabies feet from the deck boards. The furniture in the living room was not very comfortable to sit on and had a folding camping chair as one of the seats. The house is in a great location and we were able to make the best of it.

Loved that it was just a few steps to the beach. Could sit on deck and watch the kids swim ( they are 10 & 11). I believe the deck needs something, my grandson got several splinters in his foot. A couple of them pretty deep. But overall very nice

Great location

We always enjoy DI and this house was great for our family. We love being right on the water and the split floor pan. Our only concern was the condition of the deck as many boards were in rough shape and screws appeared to be popping up in several places. To help with reducing sand in the house, perhaps, a hose could replace the shower head outside. We tried our best to clean off but with low pressure and the wind blowing the water we had a hard time. Overall, this was a great house!

Our group of 9 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Wake and Sea. The bedrooms are spacious and it's so convenient having a private bath for each one. The kitchen was fully supplied with everything you could need. The only thing that we found missing was an ice maker; it would really help with a large group. The beach is right off the back deck and we loved having coffee and listening to the waves and watching the pelicans dive for fish and the dolphins feeding. This was our fourth annual trip and the ladies voted this their favorite place to stay. We are already planning our return trip for next year!

Great bang for the buck!

This property was good and served its purpose well. We had a family of 11 people stay for a week. I know it’s hard to keep the sand out but there was quite a bit when we arrived. I’d recommend the cleaning crew get a better vacuum. Other than that we had no complaints about the property itself. We had previously been to Florida a couple times and expected similar water. Definitely a difference there but we’re still able to find more than enough shells.

Beach Front Fun

This was our first trip to Dauphin Island. We absolutely loved being beach front! It was extremely convenient with having small kids with us. We did learn the hard way that when it’s windy..it’s VERY windy! We had a couple nights that the water was very high and we had vehicles stuck in the morning and stuff washed away or moved a lot due to so much sand being pushed up! Word to the wise, put things on the first level of the deck at night to be safe! The house itself was clean overall, but could use a good deep cleaning as there was dust and crumbs on baseboards and in corners. Walls could use a wash. The couch has a lot of wear..probably time for a new one. Check in was easy, as was check out. We would rent here again if we ever return!

The house wasn’t clean. There were a few other minor issues. The issues were not addressed and any inquiries were met with the attitude that somehow it was my fault. Too many fees…I won’t be booking with VRBO again

Spacious but older/kind of run down place

We had plenty of space for our party and loved having the beach right out the doorsteps. The stairs, deck, and rail are worn and in need of replacement, the refrigerator had a missing shelf on the door and a missing one in the middle and then another shelf broke while we were there. Looks like there has been a roof leak in one of the bathrooms with discolored ceiling, and the window trim throughout the house was separating badly and looks unpleasant. Overall we had a good time hanging out with family and friends, but would probably look for another place next time that is newer and kept up better.
