Killington, Vermont Ski House w / Hot Tub and Bastu

VÄrt specialbyggda hem ligger i Killington pÄ en tunnland mark, pÄ en stenlagd stadsvÀg med andra fritidshus. En andra berÀttelse har lagts till för att göra den större och Ànnu bÀttre. GÄ till "Visa alla hyreskostnader" för rÀtt priser. i november 2018 mÄlades hela huset inuti, och alla mattor ersattes. Det ser riktigt bra ut!

VÄrt hus har ett stort kök med matplats pÄ första vÄningen med ett tak pÄ 24 "katedralen, tillsammans med 3 sovrum, 1 och 1/2 bad, en inomhusbastu och ett duschrum för tvÄ och en vedspis i Vermont Castings. Ett "sun burst" -mönster av antika skidor och bambustolpar visas pÄ en vÀgg, med fler antika skidor och snöskor visas pÄ andra vÀggar.
Den andra vÄningen har ett sovrum, badrum, ett vardagsrum som strÀcker sig lÀngden pÄ huset (40 ') och inkluderar en sovalkov med en Murphy (dubbelsÀng). Det finns tvÄ andra soffor, flera stolar och en fÄtölj ocksÄ. BoomrÄdet har en vinterutsikt över de gröna bergen bortom trÀden. En glidande glasdörr gÄr ut pÄ ett stort dÀck (med en ny och större badtunna), som gÄr ner till ett annat dÀck som vetter mot skogen som har ett matbord för Ätta. BoomrÄdet strÀcker sig 17 'in i huset till en balkong med utsikt över matplatsen.

Great Group Ski House

Our group had a great stay at Thano’s house. Isn’t anything fancy, but is exactly what you need to rest up after a long day on the slopes.

Great location great price

Great location minutes from the mountain and all restaurants nearby. Our 2nd year staying here as a group of 8. Plenty of room to sleep and hang out in different areas. Hot tub and sauna are a real bonus for the price

Great stay at Killington

We had a wonderful time skiing and ringing in the new year here. The location is perfect, the hot tub and sauna are so cozy, and the place was very spacious and easily fit 10 of us. We would definitely come back!Only thing to note, which is listed in the information sheet provided by the owner, is that the hot water in the winter smells like sulfur. We found the smell didn’t really go away throughout our several day stay and made the showers a bit smelly! But, overall fantastic stay.

Very nice place

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay with a group. Plenty of space and amenities and easy access to the mt and the access road. The owner did an outstanding job with communications and directions for various things in the house.

Beautiful Home Conveniently Located

House has all the amenities - hot tub, sauna, wood stove, etc. Owner is very responsive and the house was clean with a great layout. Upstairs loft with great views!

Close to Everything

Classic Ski house most beds very comfortable, well equipped for a ski week. Driveway is challenging but OK with AWD - we did have a snowtired FWD do ok - but we also had lots of snow Owner very responsive and this is a home I would recommend.

Nice place for a friends vacation

The property had everything we needed for a friends vacation to Killington. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and upstairs common area. 5 minutes from Ramshead lodge or Skyeship Gondola. Only problem we had was the cleanliness of the house. We found vermin feces everywhere, including in the provided blankets. Would recommend just bringing your own blankets too, and it's a nice stay.

Homey and great hot tub/sauna!

The house was spacious and met all of our needs. The hot tub was lovely and so was the sauna, everything was clean and the house was only a ten minute drive from Killington skiing. The only thing is you need to bring your own sheets, toilet paper, and paper towels. There was also limited coffee and tea, but there was spices and cooking materials and utensils. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages.

Disappointed in house

The house was filthy! Shower in upstairs bathroom was very moldy. Kitchen was unclean also, washed all dishes, pots and pans, eating utensils before using. Mixer and blender was so bad decided not to use them (rusty). Hot tub was filthy also. All rooms had dust on everything! Furniture was so uncomfortable especially couches in tv room up stairs. Dining room table was shaky and so uneven that you couldn’t put drinks on the ends. Very disappointed with house, should not be able to rent in this condition.

Total enjoyment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. The owner, Thano, responded in a very timely manner when we had questions. We had a nice snowfall while we were there. I would suggest leaving the cars, as we did, in the upper parking area when a large snowfall is predicted so the driveway can be completely plowed. We were able to dig the cars out in the upper parking area but there was a sheet of ice under the new snow. We waited until the plow came and spread dirt for traction. We bought two containers of calcium chloride at the local store for the steps and upper part of the driveway for the ice. It really wasn't sufficient. Perhaps, next time, Thano could provide a large bag of calcium chloride to handle the ice. We would definitely consider staying at this house again.

Good place but needs updating and maintenance

The week started off unsettling when we arrived the walkway and driveway were not cleared properly only for us to find out in the morning. My SUV was stuck ( all wheel drive) and almost went into a tree from sliding. We called a tow truck and the tree in the driveway ripped my bumper off. Needless to say I was not happy. Being the first day, I wasn’t going to let it spoil the trip. The house was quaint but needs updating , bathrooms all need to be gutted. The downstairs smelled like mothballs as well. It’s VT , so weather can be harsh so we fully understand water in the house can be an issue. Overall , it was a nice trip and the memories the kids had in the hot tub were unforgettable. Thank you for that. Definitely find a new maintenance crew though. Not a good job

Great location, big house, fun weekend

The house was everything that we expected. The pictures are very accurate, and the only thing that I would say is misleading is that the house is actually much bigger than it seems. The pictures of the living room don't do it justice, it is very big and spacious. It was tough for me to decipher the layout of the house from the images so here is a breakdown: The entire house is essentially an open floor plan. The downstairs has a dining area, a seating area around a nice fire place, and a kitchen, as well as 3 bedrooms, 1 with a bathroom, and 1 bathroom in the hallway. The ceilings are vaulted and the 1st and 2nd floors are just one open area. Upstairs is the living room, which has 1 bedroom of of it and 1 bathroom. The jacuzzi is located on the second floor second. The house is definitely older and shows signs of use, but that is to be expected. The couches are not extremely comfy, so I would recommend bringing an air mattress instead of relying on the couch to sleep. Also, one of the twin beds was very uncomfortable and the person had to put down extra blankets and sheets to not feel the springs. The walkways were poorly shoveled and the outside deck was completely frozen over with several inches of ice. This might sound like complaints, but for us it was fine. We were a group of 22-24 year olds using the house for a ski weekend. I wouldn't come here with my parents, but I would recommend it to anyone who is just looking for a big fun house to stay in that is super close to the mountain.

Skiing in Vermont

This place couldn't have been better. A 5 min drive to Killington Ski Resort and very easy drive to a couple other towns nearby. The hot tub and sauna were a perfect after snow treat.

The place looked like the last guest had just left. There were dusty surfaces and dirty floors, trash bins were still filled with trash.

I am a retired teacher, and my wife is a retired nurse/Lamaze instructor. We live in a small village in Rockland County, New York. We are both very active in our community, and continue to work part time.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We bought the land in 1968, and built our house in 1979, adding a second story in 2004 to accommodate our growing family. We have three grown children and seven grandchildren, and our Vermont home acts as a gathering point several times a year when we all get together to ski and relax.
We have many repeat renters who love our Killington home, and return year after year. They enjoy the amenities that our house has to offer, and its location- private, yet just a few minutes from the slopes and Killington's night life.
