Walk to Pickle Barrel & Jax. Hot tub & Views
"Stumble Home" with tired legs after a day on the mountain and cozy up in front of the warm pellet stove! Stumble Home is on the Killington access road, a 5 minute drive to the lifts. Walk to the best of Killington's restaurants and nightlife including the famous Pickle Barrel located right at the end of the driveway. This home has your own large hot tub to enjoy and a BBQ grill available year-round. The big yard & surrounding woods offer a lot of privacy. Great internet/cell phone service!
The Stumble Home will make a perfect getaway for your family or group of friends. The location is unbeatable, especially for those coming to enjoy the slopes and nightlife at the Pickle Barrel and Jax, or dining at The Garlic and Sushi Yoshi. Killingtonâs Snowshed, Ramshead, and K1 base lodges are a 5 minute drive and all the bars/restaurants mentioned are easily walkable even in the snow. Year round views of Killington's peaks can be enjoyed from the hot tub, the dining table, the breakfast bar, one of the bedrooms, and even the living room couch!
On the main level you'll find a kitchen with access to the deck and hot tub, a dining area, the living room, a bedroom with a king bed and desk, plus the full bathroom with a large shower. The living room has an easy-to-use pellet stove that provides warmth and ambiance as well as a big screen smart TV where you can sign into all of your favorite streaming services.
Upstairs on the second floor (please use caution on the stairs as they are steep), are two additional bedrooms. The back bedroom has a king and a queen bed. The front bedroom has a low profile king bed where you can wake up with mountain views. There is a floor mattress and extra pillows and blankets in the closet of the front bedroom if you need additional sleeping space.
Downstairs in the unfinished basement is another entryway with ground floor access and a room perfect for storing all your skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking gear, or your golf clubs. The basement contains a washer and dryer that are free for you to use. The washer is great for outdoor gear with a special gortex/waterproof clothes wash setting.
All parts of the home are accessible to the guest with the exception of the owners closet. The driveway for this house is accessed between Jax and the Pickle Barrel.
We are available to help and want you to have an enjoyable stay. Ask us about additional services like grocery shopping so the place is stocked and ready for you upon arrival.
The Stumble Home is in the middle of the Killington Access Road, only 2.3 miles to the mountain for year-round outdoor activities and even closer to the best restaurants and nightlife Killington offers.
Is it freezing outside? Donât worry! You can still walk to bars and restaurants including the Pickle Barrel, Jax, Sushi Yoshi, The Garlic, and more! They are all at the foot of the driveway.
Darkside Snowboards is also walking distance from the house where you can rent snowboards and skis, stock up on new gear, or ride and go to events in the Dark Park.
The Killington Road sidewalk is plowed in the winter, making it easy to walk around the neighborhood all year long. Of course you can drive too if you prefer :) Caseyâs Caboose, Liquid Art Coffee Shop, the Killington Market, and more are all a few minutes away by driving or walking.
The house is also only 5 minutes from Kent Pond which has great hiking trails along the Appalachian Trail and public access for canoeing/kayaking.
The Rutland public transit bus stops in front of The Garlic (going up the mountain) and Jax (going down the mountain) and goes to the Killington base lodges if you want to take that to the mountain instead of driving.
Feel free to message us if you have any questions about the neighborhood.

Summer is a great time to enjoy Vermonts' lakes, rivers, streams, mountains, hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, horse back riding, and golf courses. Kent Pond (only 2.5 miles away) and Colton Pond (4 miles away) are loaded with largemouth bass and other fish and are also canoe and kayak friendly. Take a dip in Twenty Foot Hole (36 minutes away) or head to Lake Bomeseen (42 minutes) or Lake St Catherine (55 minutes) and rent a pontoon boat! There are plenty of places for kayaking and canoeing, or hiking to mountaintop vistas. In the summer and fall Killington Mountain Resort offers mountain biking, hiking, gondola rides, and an Adventure Center with a ropes course, zip line, pole coaster, life size maze, trampoline jump, and more.
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and the area offers a spectacular show of fall foliage with vibrant displays of gold, scarlet, and orange. The cooler days are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, and kayaking. Killington Mountain also offers scenic gondola rides in the fall.
