Lovely place on the Kenai River. Unfortunately, the fish didn’t come in while we were there, but it was still very nice.Hosts are very kind and courteous, and willing to provide anything you need.The the place is in need of updating, but still a nice stay.

This was my bucket list adventure and the Kenai Cottage was the perfect home base. The accommodations were cozy and had every convenience we could possibly need. It was centrally located for us to explore any corner of the peninsula and still be home at the end of the day for an extra hour or so of fishing right on the property. (Thank you midnight sun!) The views are natural and beautiful and lend to the feeling of living in wild Alaska even though the city of Soldotna is minutes away. Our hosts were amazing! They were very friendly and welcoming and offered great suggestions to make the best of our adventures. If you’re looking for a true Alaskan adventure close to modern conveniences, this is the perfect place to call home for your visit.

Quiet with a beautiful river view.

This place is Wonderful. We seen a lot of wildlife numerous bald eagles down at the river, Fishing was excellent, Most of all we liked the at home feeling Peaceful and quiet. Thank you Janet and Marv for this stay.

Wonderful Hosts and Fantastic Stay

We had a fantastic stay! Marv and Janet were incredibly welcoming and accommodating hosts, making the check-in process seamless. We had the pleasure of chatting with Marv—he’s a truly genuine and down-to-earth person. The views of the Kenai River from the living room and deck were absolutely stunning and made our time there even more special. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home with unbeatable scenery, this is it!

Perfect peaceful night on the river

We loved our night on the river. Our hosts were the nicest, welcoming people. We had just come from fishing and they shared their freezer space with us. Every thing was clean and we had great views. There is easy access to the river if you don't mind a few steps. Consider it a bonus workout. Check out the "kenai flip" technique before you stay so you have the right gear to enjoy the river. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and a great place to get a run in.

This is a different sort of review since my wife and I unexpectedly found ourselves unable to enjoy this property. That said, we still want to leave a review to share the outstanding efforts, communication and understanding this host showed us. Even though we weren't able to make our trip, it was the outstanding communication and empathy to our situation that we want to comment on. If you choose this property, you will find an outstanding host experience.

The lodging we rented sits atop a bluff with gorgeous views of the Kenai River from its living room and adjoining deck. Ours was one of several units in a single structure, and our rooms were comfortable, clean, and well furnished. The bedroom could be darkened during the long summer days, and heating and plumbing worked well. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with everything we needed, and there was an adjacent laundry and outdoor equipment available for guest use.Our hosts, Janet and Marv St. Clair, were gracious and generous. They answered all of our questions about our unit and made helpful suggestions for sightseeing and dining in the area. They made us feel immediately at home, and both check-in and check-out could not have been easier.Our son, our granddaughter, and her husband and three sons recently moved to Soldotna, and we could not have picked a better location for our stay during our first visit to this area. We look forward to our next trip to visit them, and the St. Clair’s Kenai Riverfront Vacation Cottage will be at the top of our list for places to stay when we’re there.

and ready access to the river. We used it as a pit stop in a longer trip with a different destination, but if I wanted a place for fishing, I'd be hard-pressed to imagine a better one.

Great location, accommodation, and views

We stayed here on two separate occasions and will come back when revisiting. Janet and Marv are great hosts and wonderful people. The bed was very comfortable and the place offered everything else we needed for our stay. The river area is a nice place to sit and take in all in, we shared it with a moose on our last night there.

Fishing fun!

The property is on the Kenai River and the view is fabulous. My husband was able to catch fish on the bank of the river! Cozy and warm accommodations and well stocked kitchen. There is a washer and dryer available which is a must with the Alaska rain. We definitely would stay here again!

Great condo on the river

We had a great stay in Soldotna and at Riverfront Vacation Condo. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula so everything is a short drive away. We just missed the Red Salmon run but everything else went just great. Thank you Marv and Janet.

Soldotna is a perfect location for your Alaskan adventure! Whether your desire is to fish or hike or kayak or go birding, we are at the center of it all! Just a 3 hour drive from the Anchorage airport, Homer is 70 miles down the road, Seward is 90 miles and only 1 mile from downtown Soldotna to your door!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Standing on the deck, there is not another building in sight. Just the bird filled trees, the beautiful Kenai River with all of it's abundant fish, and the woods & the tops of the mountains towards Anchorage. Great hiking trails right outside your door or take advantage of the paved bike path that goes right into Soldotna. It is common to see eagles & moose along with other wildlife.
