Hill Country Lake House on Lake Travis, Lake Front w/Private Dock

Welcome to the Hill County Lake House on the Pedernales arm of Lake Travis!

**Lake levels are low and there is currently no water at our dock. Guests may take the kayaks and paddleboards to where the water starts in the cove. No boat access. The house and fire pit still have great views of the open channel.**

**Lake Travis lake levels fluctuate and cannot guarantee water level. Please feel free to contact me first with questions. **

We hope that our lake home will be your home away from home. Anytime is a good time of the year in The Texas Hill Country!

Take in expansive Hill Country views at our 3-spacious bedrooms, 2-full bath Hill County Lake House on the banks of the Pedernales River! Bring your boat, we have a private, floating dock.

Features of the Lake House:

Spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath. Sleeps 10 (maximum of 6 adults) — King, Queen, 2 Fulls, Full sleeper sofa and Twin Bunk with Trundle. Back of house is mostly windows with amazing views of the water.

Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, Margaritaville margarita machine, eating area for 9, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

Outdoor living includes rocking chairs on the front porch, a covered bar with ceiling fan on the back patio, patio table with chairs, Weber gas grill and fire pit.

Includes a boat dock and a slip for you to park your boat.

Great fishing right from the dock. Don’t forget your fishing poles!

We have a Paddle Boat, 2 Paddleboards and 3 Kayaks that are perfect for a relaxing trip around the peaceful cove (bring your own life jackets).

Lakeview get-away

The water is down in the cove so the boat dock was on dry ground but we were able to carry the kayak about 30 yards to the water. The view from the master bedroom and the deck is gorgeous. All the beds were super comfortable and the fire pit was a fun place for a few of us to sit around and talk while the others took turns kayaking. Only stayed two nights but it would be a great place to stay for a week or so, especially if you want to zipline, visit Krause Springs, go boating, etc.

Great stay

We were greeted upon our arrival by a baby deer and her Momma resting just outside the fenced backyard. The lake level is pretty low but there was just enough water to get out the paddle boards and kayak and paddle into deeper water. The kids had a blast and enjoyed the “hike” back and forth to the dock. It is a hike and steep but we loved the exercise. The fire pit is great for relaxing and troasting marshmallows. Inside had everything we needed for our stay. We had a wonderful trip and would come back again!

Lovely

What a lovely little lake house. The water was pretty low and a bit cooler weather not conducive to water activities. But we had fun exploring the shores and the making s’mores in the fire pit. The house is impeccably clean and nicely decorated. We had a small hiccup with the hot water but the owner was extremely quick to resolve. She was easy to get a hold of and great to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cosy warm house perfect for family

This little house was perfect for our family weekend. It never rained this season so the listing that the boat dock is on dry land is accurate. That was a little disappointing we had hopes of lots of rain. The picture on the listing with the gazebo is almost false hope. While we did enjoy the house it had everything in the kitchen you ever needed. It was also tastefully decorated. The kayaks and paddle boards became useless to us as boat dock is on dry land and we weren’t going to drag them all the way to the Lakeside. The house could’ve been a little cleaner, mostly the floors needed extra attention. The outdoor trashcan was full of trash, flies, and stink and was not emptied prior to our arrival. We had to store trash on the patio and take it somewhere to dump to avoiding critters getting into the trash. Other than that we had a wonderful weekend at this home.

Perfect family gathering

The Lake House is very comfortable and clean. Kitchen well equipped and supplied. There were many staple seasonings (probably the owners or previous vacationers)in the well organized cabinets. Plenty of good cookware and a choice of coffee makers. Lots of natural and electric light made preparations easy. We really enjoyed the front porch and gas grill. The tables and bar height chairs are comfortable and in good condition. The den area is spacious and has a nice tv. Unfortunately we forgot to bring our ROKU stick so we couldn’t watch our home sports teams, but that’s our fault. On the main level is a nice utility room/shower room which we used as the guys bath. The shower is a little tight but has good water flow and temperature. Very clean. There upstairs bedrooms were very nice. We slept in the Queen room and it had a comfy bed and good dark shades for a nap or a late riser. The master has an incredible view and a king bed. The master bath can be entered from the hall or bedroom. The bunk room has two cute full size beds and really fun decor. We kept our 22’ center console boat at the dock during the day and in the full length slip at night. It was so quiet around there we had no worries about leaving skis and such on the boat overnight. Which is real good thing because the walk, or might I say CLIMB, up to the house is a beating. Not exaggerating. 100 steps if an inch. But after a long weekend of eating, beer drinking and dragging kids around on their various toys I needed the exercise. Do you like to ski? If so this is the place! It’s located on the little trafficked area of the Pedernales River. Lots of clean glassy water for skiing. Bottom line is that we will stay here again!

Really nice place with lots of room downstairs, great outdoor space

Quiet spot up along shoreline (when lake full). Great deck and outdoor space. Super firepit with lots of space for all to stay out of smoke. Easy checkin and checkout. Fully equipped kitchen, nice outdoor grill.

Perfect lake getaway

This was a great property. Unfortunately the lake is low so we did not have the water view but it was still a perfect getaway. House was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Making smores on the firepit was a perfect ending to the days! We will for sure be back!

Beautiful Place

Very Nice place, Host were very accommodating. The place is very quiet, beautiful views from the master bedroom. The house is comfortable and clean, Kitchen was very well stocked. We would highly recommend this place.

Great little spot!

The house was super cute and comfortable. Nice big backyard area too. There was no water when we were there, but that was expected. We definitely made use of the fire pit though!

Excellent spot for families in Spicewood

Easy check-in. Property is great, especially the lower fire pit, where they are very accommodating with chairs and accessories. The hill to the water is steep but a rail is there to help kids and older adults. I’m sure the water is great when the rain allows. Lots of run around space for kids. Only knock is the gas grill was sub-par in its heating ability, but it did the job. But caveat to my comment—I dislike gas grills generally.

No water (then), no problem

We had an excellent time here, even with the water level being low. The fire pit was fantastic for hanging out with visiting friends. Great views from both decks and the living areas. The arrangement of the neighbors meant you really did not even notice there were other houses. It was a fantastic stay all around.

Nice location, but

We booked the house very early on in the year and was not prepared for the severe drought in Texas in July causing there to be no lake water at the location. The owner of the property was very transparent and obviously not within there control. With all of that said, I would have expected the house to be in better shape than it was. The house was not well cleaned upon our arrival. There were cobwebs throughout the house, dead bugs, dirty towels, spiders in the towels, old coffee grounds in the coffee pot, dirty utensils inside the drawers and stained sheets. For the cost, and location, you would expect better quality. I hope they make the necessary adjustments as this house has a great potential.

Peaceful weekend getaway

We were in town for a wedding, the property was close to the venue, which was perfect for us. The home was comfortable, had a well-equipped kitchen and was very clean. The owner was very quick to respond to all questions and upfront with us on the level of the lake. We will definitely book a return visit when the lake fills back up. As for our stay this time, it had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing/very clean

This house is lovely and has everything one would need for a weekend. Lots of kitchen stuff, the beds are comfortable, A/C works great. There is no water near the house because the lake is so low, but we were told that before we rented.
