Beautiful home. Incredibly well kept and comfortable. Meticulously cared for by the property manager and the owners, and was perfect for our multi-gen stay. Set on lovely road and grounds close to town. The house was very clean. The kitchen well appointed the bed linens fresh and comfortable. Will definitely return to this home!

Apple Hill is a beautiful, charming home with great views. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and a quiet location on a dirt road, but still only a few miles from downtown Woodstock. The kitchen was well equipped and beds comfortable. The owner and property manager were very responsive and good communication. We enjoyed visiting Woodstock and discovered South Woodstock. Loved the Kendron Valley Inn for pizza which is just down the hill! We would definitely stay here again!

The house is adorable, impeccably cared for..lots of comfortable beds &linens. Plenty of space for people to gather. Quaint. The only important detail to share ( which was why I gave 3 stars for location) is that it’s literally on top of the mountain. Very bumpy and narrow dirt road. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee which was fine but my guests had a Mercedes. It was challenging for them to get up and down the mountain. Our cars were filthy by the end of the weekend. That being said it is fairly centrally located. Easy to get to downtown Woodstock..it’s just up and down the mountain. So it really is about how you are using it and what you drive. Lol

The house is always spotless. It’s located in a quiet place. We visit South Woodstock at least twice a year and this is the first house we always check the availability of. It’s wonderful!

This property could not be more perfect! It is immaculate , well stocked, perfectly laid out in a wonderful location. It is so quiet sitting out on the deck, sipping our morning coffee. 3 miles into town. A lot of things to do and some great choices for meals. The property manager and the host were both extremely responsive with any questions. We could not have asked for anything more.

We’ve stayed at lots of places in the area over the years but we stay here whenever we can. It’s such a clean, peaceful, and welcoming place. So easy to relax and be comfortable but close to Woodstock and South Woodstock.

Spacious and cosy home

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Apple Hill. The house was very comfortable, warm and cosy despite the cold weather. Kitchen was well equipped for a group of foodies like us! We also appreciated the welcome wine and snack. The location was perfect for accessing Woodstock and surrounding areas. We would definitely like to return. Thank you!

Woodstock in September

Great stay, wonderful weather, explored So Woodstock and visited Calvin Coolidge's birthplace. Great walks, bike riding and river swimming. Would go back to Woodstock and stay at this location in a heart beat.

Wonderful Stay in South Woodstock

We visited Woodstock for a wedding event at Reading Farm Estates. This home was the perfect location at only 15 min away. Beautiful house and grounds with spectacular views. So many sitting areas in the house / grounds to gather as a group or find some alone time. Such a special place! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great location and accommodations

This was a great house! Very clean and spacious for a family of 5. The host and property manager were very attentive. I’d highly recommend staying here and it’s only a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock.

Serene Hillside Getaway

We love this place. It’s so close to South Woodstock and for us, the GMHA show grounds. My wife and daughter can show during the day but come home and unwind in the most peaceful place. Easy for me to cook and do laundry and a/c in the bedrooms allow for a great night sleep.

Serenity at its best!

What a lovely stay! Super easy check in, so clean, spacious and cozy. Our entire party fell in love with this property and would love to visit again. Very close proximity to Woodstock - we were there for Dartmouth graduation. Very very close to sweet inn, restaurant and general store. Mary and Gosia were great to work with.

Fantastic House!

We had a girl’s weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at Mary’s place! Her house was amazing! There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom (very comfy). There was plenty of room to hang out in the living room, dining room, and family room with an outside deck. Very clean and close to town! Highly recommend staying here!

A sweet tucked away retreat in Woodstock

What a special place. Quiet, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Our young girls loved running around the property, playing around the house and walking under the apple trees. Perfectly situated and had everything we needed.

Very Accommodating Owner

Due to the 1,000-year storm that ravaged Vermont the weekend before, the owner was very kind in permitting us to cancel, despite there being a no-cancellation policy and the house being technically accessible and in good condition; we greatly appreciated the offer, but we chose to file a claim under our travel insurance instead rather than impact the owner. Note that this was a highly unusual situation that should not be construed as changing the owner's standard policies in any way. Communications were timely and very clear. Ratings regarding listing accuracy and cleanliness were required, so we had to respond based on listing and post-storm photos; we have no reason to believe that they aren't accurate, however (we are very familiar with the area and have seen the house and property before). We would definitely recommend this property based on our experience.

VT Family Vacation

Apple Hill is a lovely, charming, cozy and yet spacious home. This home (not just a house!) is welcoming and comfortable. The location is ideal, secluded just enough and yet convenient to town, hiking, shops. It was a wonderful spot for us and our adult children.
