Do NOT book this unit

This unit has not been maintained. The dining room chairs are all ripped and peeling. The master bed headboard is ripped and peeling. The shower curtains are dirty and have mold growing on them. There is water damage o. Wall is master bedroom that is growing mold: The paint on the doors is peeling off. The patio curtains are so dirty they are black at the bottom. The living room rug is filthy. The dryer does not work. The ceiling fans and vents are covered in layers of dust. The pictures are deceiving.

Horrible

Had booked for 2 years due to covid. Never stayed in 113 before. Only 112 and 118 very nice. I'm disabled with 4 grandchildren I'm raising and been coming tgere for years. Love the location and 1st floor due to a back injury and stairs and long elevator waits. They call me 2 days prior to my arrival stating the dryer didn't work so I had 4 children and myself and no way to do laundry for 8 days. Misty the manager wS very helpful with extra towels. Lyric at the desk was awesome. But another girl behind the scenes cussed me out. I was credited 350.00 out of over 11,000.00. Not near enough. The ice maker didn't work at first but started later on. I was given ice in a bag though. The sofa was absolutely filthy. I complained about this in advance from the photos of the unit. One chair had a huge dried blood stain on it. No coffee table or end table by the couch. Unit sleeps 8 but only had a tiny table with 2 chairs for dining. Certainly wouldn't seat 8. There were 3 bar stools however. But the couch was so filthy I wouldn't let my dog sleep on it. Needless to say, unless 112 opens back up I will never return to Tidewater. I love the location and I'm 66 years old and disabled raising 4 grandchildren but I definitely feel like I was cheated out of money. 11,000.00 plus is a lot of money. Then since I have a small luggage rack on my Expedition I had to pay 500.00 extra dollars because I couldn't park in the parking garage. I love Tidewater but unless I'm compensated more than 350.00 I will not return again. Bedrooms were ok except the bunk beds. Top one was completely torn up on the bottom so if you slept on bottom the top lining was hanging down and completely torn and had trash ad even food cramned up in it. Not an 11,000.00 plus unit at all. Owners of this unit should be made to keep it up to a decent standard for that price.....PERIOD.....

Sadly disappointed

I will saythe bed was comfortable and the rooms floor level was otherwise i was very disappointed, especially for the price i paid. Visible mold in the bathrooms, paint chipping, dryer did not work, the doors to the patio were filthy. The condo furniture was very uncomfortable. A condo that sleeps 6 only has living room space for5. And a two top kitchen table. It just was not worth the 1100.00 we paid for 3 nights. Very disappointed.

Must needed Relaxation

The condo was clean and great size for our party of 7. The 3 bathrooms was great! We had the essentials we needed for a great stay. The elevators was not bad this time of year. The staff was friendly and the pool areas was clean and had multiple choices with the two outdoor pools and indoor heated pool. Hot tubs was great as well. The WiFi was strong also. Would definitely recommend this condo and Tidewater Beach Resort. I can not wait to return.

Beautiful view but unacceptable employee

The property is great and as advertised. The view is fantastic and we really enjoyed being able to avoid using the elevators due to the second story location. The property is in very good condition, although there was no ice in the freezer (had to go out and buy some). Also, the balcony outlet and one kitchen outlet did not work. Unfortunately, I plugged in my phone w/o noticing and woke up to a dead battery. There was just one major issue. While we were sitting on the balcony one morning, a man suddenly appeared and knocked on the glass door to get our attention. He said that he was asked to deliver an area rug to the living room and he just let himself into the apartment because no one answered the door. This was absolutely unacceptable. Fortunately, I was there with my wife but if I wasn't , she would have been even more terrified than she was. It is impossible to hear the doorbell from the balcony because the ocean is so loud and the glass door must stay closed. What if my wife was in the shower and was on her way out when the employee entered? What if the guest had their earbuds on, listening to music? What if a couple was in the bedroom and (ahem) was not interested in answering the door? We had no communication whatsoever about an employee delivering a rug, let alone notice of the time he might arrive. This is unacceptable.

Perfect for a quick get away!

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Perfect beach front view, enough space for our crew of 6, and the fact that this unit was on the first floor made it easy to come and go. Most of the time we used the stairs and when we did use the elevators, the wait was not that bad. This was Mother's day weekend so maybe there just wasn't a lot of traffic. Patience is a virtue. Also, being in a first floor unit concerned me a little at first because I feared that there would be a lot of thumping/stumping noise from the upstairs unit, but to my surprise, there was no noise. Either no one was above me or the walls and ceilings are truly sound proof! Halleluiah!!! The unit was clean but could use some minor repairs such as the moldings in the bathroom and the furnishings is the pictures are a little different from what is in the living/dining room. The patio furniture is also different from what's in the pictures. The unit needs more eating utensils or people should know to bring plastic ware. We were only there for two days so we didn't do any cooking but needed the utensils for our purchased meals. All in all, not a deal breaker. No issues. Check in was simple because we took care of all the registration fees ahead of time and the fact that there are luggage carts to eliminate multiple trips to the car was a huge plus. Parking in the garage wasn't an issue either. Just know everyone will do their best to park on the 2nd level because that's where the skywalk is to get into the main building. Everyone will try to unload and reload on this level before going to find a parking spot. All in all, it was comfortable, peaceful, and met our needs for a two day weekend. Would stay here again.

The room needs a little work or upgrading. No head board was on master bedroom bed as promised. The kitchen table wasn't what I was told would be there. I was only a small two seating table. The dryer didn't work. There was visible molding in some areas of the the bathrooms. Curtains were not in rooms that was visible to other guess, which made it a little uncomfortable. The bathroom doors appeared to have some water damage at the bottoms of them. I am only guessing that we got one of the older rooms. Other than that, the staff were excellent. The electronic arm band we were told we'd get weren't available. We had to have security to unlock the doors when or if we needed to get through them. Again the staff were amazing!!!!

Would not recommend

We tried to check in and our room wasn’t even ready yet. Thankfully, Vacasa got the cleaning crew in there fast. Once we finally got in the room it just wasn’t clean. We opened the silverware drawer and there was a ROACH crawling on the silverware! When I opened the door to the shower there was still hair from the previous renters. It is in a great location but don’t expect it to be nice and clean!

Overall wouldn’t stay

The couch smelled like urine. The furniture was awful. Leather headboard was torn. Leather chairs were torn. Bunk bed mattress was torn. We went to Walmart and bought sheets and blankets to use because we didn’t feel comfortable using the ones provided. The bathroom smelled terrible. Front desk said they’d send someone to clean the couch but they didn’t. We weren’t able to even use the pull out sofa bed. Had a group of 8 and had to go buy an air mattress and sleep on floors with blankets because the furniture was so bad. As much as i paid for that place i should be getting a refund! We didn’t enjoy it AT ALL. They need to remove everything from the unit and replace with new furniture and they need to paint the walls.

Our visit

Parking fee misrepresented, check in very poor. Luggage carts are a fiasco, hold your driver's license hostage and unsecured while you use the luggage cart. I observed drivers licenses left at a single desk unattended with large number of people around them at risk for theft. They add a parking fee that is supposed to be free parking when we booked the room. Room was dirty, furniture old and in very bad shape. I could go on and on......

The Best Week Ever

We really enjoyed our stay. It met all of our expectations. Enjoyed being on the 1st floor. It was very convenient. The only negative thing was that the dryer squeaked very loudly. Overall it was a great week.

Good Vacation

We had a good vacation at this condo. The master toilet started leaking mid-week and the condo could use some sprucing up but overall it was good. The wait for the elevator was terrible even trying to go a short way with luggage when arriving and leaving, so we were glad to be on the first floor all week-didn't have to use it that much.
