Tout était parfait comme il y a deux ans. Comme nous étions déjà venu. Nous sommes revenus avec plaisir cette année. L’accueil est toujours aussi chaleureux maison, très propre literie très bonne les environs calme je recommande fortement. Nous viendrons avec plaisir si possible l’année prochaine.

Good but not excellent

Property was nice. the hot water took a while to come out. The property manager was excellent and very accommodating with our schedule. There was no soap to shower. I find that the cleaning fee was a bit excessive considering there were dead spiders and bugs in the house.

Fantásticas vacaciones

La villa es fabulosa. Muy amplia, segura, cómoda y totalmente equipada para seis personas. La piscina un súper plus donde hemos disfrutado muchísimo. La recepción por parte de Areke fue muy cordial, se preocupó de que todo estuviera a nuestro gusto. Es imprescindible disponer de vehículo ya que las playas y pueblos están algo lejos. Hemos pasado unas vacaciones fabulosas

Great house in good location for most of the Algarve

Really enjoyed staying here - visited Lagos, Ferragudo and plenty of beaches via short drives. Quiet residential area. Tiny niggles: Quite a lot of half - used condiments in kitchen which might not suit everyone; hot water a bit temperamental in bathrooms, and no obvious lights by pool. That apart, great stay and Areke the local meeter and greeter super helpful. Would stay again!

2nd time renter

Wonderful property to stay at, and this is the second summer in a row we've stayed a week. As described it's around a 10-15 mins drive to Alvor and the bigger supermarkets like Continente. There's a couple of local smaller shops nearby, as well as a couple of restaurants like Fonte de Pedra which we'd tried twice and enjoyed. No shortage of good restaurants in Alvor though Spacious bedrooms and living areas, all nicely decorated, and the outside areas are well maintaned and private. Very little noise from the surrounding houses/pools too. Great design too around the outside area below the pool which is well shaded with a gas BBQ, an outside dining table for 6, and also a nice corner area with a couple of rattan couches and tables Nicely sized pool, and plenty of space and sunloungers etc. The upstairs balcony is huge too, and a nice area to sit out during the day/evenings

Expansive Property

We booked this property to be close to the Autodromo do Algarve for the MotoGP - it was 10 minutes away so perfect on that front. Groceries were a bit more of a trek, we had to go into Portimao for anything other than a corner store experience. The property itself had several outdoor areas to enjoy the shade or sun. Bedrooms were all well-appointed. It was a great spot and would be very economical for a family or group.

The villa was superb, we had a lovely time staying there for the 10 days. The property manager was very nice and helpful and settled us in straight away. We highly recommended this as a place to enjoy a lovely relaxing holiday.

A very contented stay and more!

We are 2 couples in our 70’s who had a 10-day stay in this lovely spacious villa in a residential area in the countryside. We found it to be exactly as described and we weren’t disappointed. The villa was clean and had the creature comforts of home. It was well-equipped and certainly catered to serve families. The TV had the basic channels and Netflix but no Sky. We had wall-to-wall sun the duration of our stay and there were ample outdoor seating areas in sun or shade. The swimming pool wasn’t large but it was adequate for us. A car is a must if you want to get about, as the villa is approximately 10 mins by car from Alvor/ supermarkets. There is, however, a small local store where you can get a limited choice of essential items. When we arrived at the villa we were met by Jayne, the very pleasant housekeeper, who presented us with some basic groceries, which were adequate until we were able to get to the supermarket the following day. Jayne also gave us tips on places to visit, and on the restaurants, etc in the local area, but more importantly fulfilled our request for a teapot! Nothing was too much trouble. Would we revisit? Absolutely!

More home than holiday villa.

We found the villa very homely with lovely furnishings and fittings, loads of welcome air con and a vast amount of space both inside and out. The areas outside are vast, and on two levels and give the advantage of always being able to find (or not find) sun or shade at any time. The location is interesting in that it’s in a development but in the middle of the countryside, about ten minutes by car from Alvor and Portimao and the shops and restaurants and beaches that are there. We did a skydive in Portimao which was great and the beach in Alvor is beautiful. We found that while our villa was beautifully maintained and state of the art, there were areas of the estate that needed work. The lady, Jayne, the liaison person, was helpful and kind and patient and went to no ends to recommend things to do and places to see and restaurants to try. Overall we were very happy with our choice. As an aside, do try Farelo restaurant five minutes away.

Fantastic stay in fantastic villa

We had a brilliant time at the villa, the pool is a perfect size for small children with a lockable gate for piece of mind. The villa is really clean and has everything you need for a perfect family stay. Alvor is only a short drive away and has a real buzz about it whilst maintaining its charm. Jayne who met us on arrival was really helpful and very knowledgeable! The perfect holiday thanks!

Holiday with grandchildren

We've just returned from a week at this villa which we chose mainly because the pool area could be secured - our party included a 3 year old and a 1 year old. The pool was a great hit - the grandchildren loved it, and the adults could enjoy peace of mind when we were not swimming. The villa is spacious and comfortable, and it was so nice to be in a personalised home rather than simply a holiday let property. Thank you to Maggie and Jayne for all their help

Herrliche Lage, sonnige Villa

Wir haben einen sehr schönen erholsamen Urlaub in der Villa genossen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und doch alle Orte gut zu erreichen! Wir waren zu zweit und hatten genügend Platz, um alle Annehmlichkeiten der Villa genießen zu können. Wermutstropfen: für mehr Personen wäre es in der Ausstattung eng geworden! Die Dusche war nicht zu benutzen, ein Bad war vollständig auf Grund übelster Gerüche nicht nutzbar und die Küchenausstattung etwas spärlich für mehr Personen! Eine Wannendusche war für uns kein Problem, aber für weniger sportliche Urlauber schon. Empfehlen könne wir die Villa trotzdem, da sich diese Mängel sicher abstellen lassen!

Calm, beautiful villa.

Stayed here August 2018 for a week. Wish we had longer, we drove from Lisbon where we had spent a week sightseeing so this was a welcome reprieve from the hussle and bussle of Lisbon. It was a great place to stay, the villa is beautiful and furnished really well. There were 4 of us, 2 adults and two kids (12/14). It worked perfectly for us. The pool is not huge but it's great for cooling off and having a play in. Kids loved it. The immediate area is nice and quiet. Large supermarket in Lagos and a supermarket in Alvor. Can't say much about the area in general as we didn't venture out too much but there is loads to do if you want to. Preferred Lagos as a town to Alvor but that's just personal preference. Great scuba diving school in Lagos, my daughter did her qualification there this year. We've been close to this area before and love it. If you're thinking of booking this villa just do it, you won't be disappointed. I loved the feel of the villa and I definitely want to go back! The lady that met us (Jayne) was very helpful and we could contact her anytime with queries. Welcome pack was great as we were starving so was good to eat before heading to the supermarket to stock up.

Perfect villa and pool in a quiet area. Very enjoyable stay!

There were 3 adults and 2 children in our party and the villa was ideal. The pool was a perfect haven for us all and was always warm. The villa was very clean and a welcome pack was available upon arrival which was a great help as we arrived late. Jayne met us there, even though it was late, and showed us around the villa and gave us ideas of where to visit etc. Lagos was a great day out as was Zoomarine, all within half hour drive of the villa. A car is a must as it’s too far to walk to anywhere especially if it’s hot! We love this area of Portugal and when we visit again I’m sure it will be to this villa!

Maggie, We have recently returned from your lovely villa and wanted to express how relaxing we found our stay - perfect for the family and with such a homely feel it really felt as a home from home with none of the austere & stark furnishing of other properties. And what a great location, quiet and beautiful but easy striking distance of Alvor and Portmio. The pool was a godsend with a 3,10 and 12 yr old. We will be back as soon as we can......

Maggie är värd

We were first attracted to the villa by its rustic charm. Although traditional, it has modern facilities within including a very fast optic fibre broadband internet. The free wi-fi code will be provided at check-in.
There is a mini mercado (corner shop) for essential food stuff just down the road from the villa. There are 2 lovely restaurants within walking distance; Fonte de Pedra and O'Tasco. Another excellent restaurant just 2-3 minutes drive away is Solar do Farelo
We love it's location as it's close enough to the vibrant fishing village of Alvor yet far enough away to provide a tranquil atmosphere in the villa. We love the great outdoors, in particular the beaches and country walks. Alvor has a lovely long sandy beach with the wonderful Restinga Restaurante right off it. I like windsurfing and the beach I find great for that is Meia Praia Lagos. There is Watersport kit hire shop there and I believe they also offer windsurfing lessons. The beaches in this region are the best in Europe. All have great restaurants/bars on site.
We often do a circular beach walk in Alvor and end it at one of the several marina cafés for a snack and refreshments.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our villa is just a 5 minute drive from Algarve's oldest golf club, Penina. Other golf clubs nearby include: Alamos and Morgado. Boa Vista golf club in Lagos is about a half hour drive away.
For the more adventurous, Skydive Algarve is just down the road. My husband and daughter-in-law did tandem skydives there, (each attached to qualified instructors), and both said it was the most exhilarating activity they'd done! Definitely worth doing!
The villa is ideally located in a semi rural setting, away from the crowds and tourists, yet only 10 minutes by car to the lovely sandy beaches and attractions of Alvor. There are numerous country walks and mountain biking trails nearby, straight from the front door.
There are two very good restaurants, O Tasco and Fonte de Pedra, only 2 minutes drive away so can be walked to if you prefer. Another of our favourite local restaurants is Solar do Farelo, less than 10 minutes drive away. Our villa has everything you need for a relaxing comfortable holiday. The pool is a great sunny place to lounge around, but there are always shady areas available as well. Each bedroom opens onto a terrace area with stunning country views from the generous first floor terrace.There is air-con available to the bedrooms and the lounge and dining room. The modern kitchen opens out to the rear terrace for outdoor dining, bbq and comfortable seating.
