Townhouse by the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The townhouse was clean and sparsely decorated. The beds were all ok and the bathrooms were just fine as well. The back deck is unusable because the furniture is too large. The front screen door does not stay closed and the backyard is not fenced in (in case this is a concern for a guest with pets). Overall it was just fine.

Great condo near town and beach

Great spot for a few couples and a baby! House was very well equiped. We had 6 adults stay comfortably but there isnt indoor living room seating for much more than that. The screened in porch was great for morning coffee/an afternoon drink but the floor in that part was very dirty. Bedrooms had plenty of room but small beds, 2 full beds and one queen and then a bunk bed room. Easy walk into town for restraunts bars and shopping. Could also walk to the beach, about 30 minutes through neighborhood. But parkibg pass was very convenient to have for loading up a car and bringing it straight to the beach. We had a great stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The write up was a little misleading - it was a LONG walk to the beach. A lot about this property was nice, but one room was hot and the bed was uncomfortable. The other room was comfortable but had lousy lighting. the bunks beds were uncomfortable. The rooms could have used a chair. The screen porch was nice but the door didn't seal properly so the bugs could get in. The outside was beautiful. The hot tub was nice but we couldn't get the temperature above 98 (and it was usually at 95) and it was dirty. The yard had dog feces in it from a prior tenant.The kitchen was delightful but could have used a more updated fridge that gave you filtered water. We had no use for the dining room. Furniture in the living room was not comfortable. This definitely was not as nice as other places we have rented but still about the same price. Also, one of the neighbors was rude the night we first got there. And the listing needs to include Unit 1.

Great State Road House Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay at this home. Great location, clean and well stocked kitchen! Dog friendly and close to the beach -- 7 minute bike ride or 25 minute walk. The house is very comfortable and nicely furnished. It's also next to the school so can use the tennis courts and fields for pups. Would definitely recommend it!

Great house, with caveats

We stayed here for the long thanksgiving weekend with friends. The house itself is great- good size (though not enough living room space for 10 people- we were only six so it worked ok), easy walking to both town and beach, and the hot tub was really great. Our biggest issue with this place is that it is actually a short term lease rather than geared to short breaks. Things you only learn after booking: - You need to sign a several pages long short term lease document - Sheet and towel rental is mentioned in the listing- this is the same price for a month or a day - you must provide your own paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins) as well as dish detergent, hand soap, etc - A 50% deposit is taken at booking, and full payment is expected 30 days before your stay - if you are bringing dogs- there is a limit of two dogs under 40lbs, the whole tree line in the back is unfenced so dogs will need to be leashed if they are a flight risk - management company really was not very responsive- I had to send several emails asking the same questions, many of which went completely unanswered. Overall it was a great stay, but definitely wish I had been aware of all of these things as I would have looked for a less complicated stay for just a few nights.

Nice townhouse with small private back yard

Nice and clean open kitchen/living area with a breakfast bar. Also a separate dining room for family meals (or games). 4 nice sized bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. End unit allows for a semi-private back yard with hot tub, outdoor shower and grill. The yard is not completely fenced in so bring a lead to tie the dog out. It is beside the main road with some traffic noise but not too horrible. It was perfect for family of 5 and 1 dog. It was about a 15 minute walk to boardwalk too

Filthy and Rundown

It’s sad to see a property with so much potential and in a great location be completely filthy and run down. After the industrial strength air freshener from the cleaners wore off, the house stunk - particularly the furniture which smelled like body odor. Our bare feet were black with dirt after just an hour of walking through the house and settling in. There were stains on the walls, the furniture, and ceiling. The outdoor area has a large deck that is in disrepair. You could see where others had stepped through rotten boards and you could feel where other boards were on the brink of disintegrating under you. The hot tub had missing jet pieces and a broken filter cover that wouldn’t stay connected and just floated into the water. The hot tub had sand in the bottom and scum around the edges when we arrived. Overall, we decided to not return to this property despite its location and potential. Spending your vacation cleaning a filthy house and worrying you’re going to step through a rotten deck is not fun. And having an unusable hot tub is disappointing.

Great Stay!

The townhouse was clean and a perfect size for our group of six with room for two more to sleep comfortably. Our group enjoyed the private yard (partially fenced) and hot tub. We walked our dog behind the nearby school and found a walkway to the beach(about one mile). Our check in/out process through Berkshire and Hathaway was very efficient and organized (Sam was top notch).

Great space for a getaway.

Everything was clean and decorated nicely. Fully stocked kitchen was nice and Kenny of space. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed our time there and didn’t feel like we were in top of each other. Hot tub was the cherry on top. Very nice. Thank you.

Beach Bungalow

Very roomy condo. Loved back yard for our dogs and the deck and sun room for humans. Bathrooms were clean and very modern. Kitchen was stocked with everything plus more needed to cook. Bedrooms were also very roomy. Parking was great too since we had 3 vehicles. Would recommend this condo and give it a 5 star rating.

Definitely would stay again

Highly recommend. Pictures are very accurate, may actually be nicer. Excellent use of space to fit 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths. We were just a family of 4, but could easily fit many more (counted 23 chairs of some kind on the first floor and I think there were the cups/plates/silverware to match). The master bedroom is very good sized, as is the 2nd bedroom (fit a pack n play for a baby in addition to the full bed and still had plenty of room). The bunk bed room and 4th bedroom are a bit smaller, but not cramped. Screen in porch was used every morning and night. Hot tub was very enjoyable. Backyard has a very good sanctuary-type feel. We didn't use the kitchen much, but seemed to have every gadget/appliance one would need. Parking pass is a nice touch.

Great place to stay for a family vacation!

This is an excellent choice for a family vacation. The house is super clean and modern, well appointed, has high end kitchenware, and smart technology. Everything you need in the kitchen is there! Beds were very comfortable, and showers were nice. We were very happy with the location as it’s close to Rehoboth, Dewey and Cape Henlopen beaches. It was a big plus to have the parking permit included! We went to Rehoboth beach in the morning, a short 5-10 min car ride and parked on the beach block with no problem. The only cons were some traffic noise from the highway (the house is adjacent to Route 1), and the backyard is not completely fenced in for our dog. We highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again. Thanks for sharing your home!

Amazing Space

This place was terrific for a family. We had five children and four adults and had plenty of space. I loved the outside space and we enjoyed the enclosed patio. We will definitely come back.
