Very old, appliances , everything

We got there late, was hard to find, no lights on in cabin or outside cabin, had to slowly walk up to cabin with flashlight just to verify it was the cabin we rented, total darkness inside and out, never experienced anything like that ever. Once we got in I searched for light switches, found some, checked thermostat and found it, it showed 49 degrees! they did not even turn it up to a warm temp for us the day before, all other places had at least set it to a decent temp for us, it was freezing inside, figured out the thermostat which needed a upgrade, got furnace going finally, but it took couple hours to make it bearable, we had our coats on for hours inside the cabin, never experienced anything like it for a rental, there were several little space heaters around house, turned them on too, helped a little, shouldn't need them in my opinion but we did at this place. The appliances were from decades ago, but at least they worked. The furniture was very little and very old, couch in living room was small and not comfortable, I found 2 decent padded chairs and my wife and I used those, much more comfortable at least. The big bed in the main bedroom was very old as well, was not comfortable at all, very hard to lay on, was like a plywood with a thin strip of cushion, mattress was very old, the sheets and blankets, and pillows were very old and dingy, did not sleep well at all, the big screen tv was ok, I would Not recommend this place at all. Stay away. We won't be coming back.

Nice cabin for what you pay

It was a nice stay but could have been better. Upon arrival late at night the thermostat was set to 55 when it was in the 30s outside and the toilet wouldn’t fill. By the morning the temperature in the house had only reached 65 but maintenance came out in a timely manner to fix both the thermostat and the toilet. Upon first glance the home looked nice and clean but upon further inspection there were cobwebs everywhere. Over all the say was decent for the price of the cabin.

Vista Cabin

Our stay at the cabin was delayed 4 hours same day for checkin, providing we had to go up the mountain that was told that is sometimes impassable to large vehicles completely in the dark, nothing like climbing a gravel mountain road not knowing where you’re going. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, both the beds are quite squeaky but comfortable. The kitchen did have cookware, however the pans had not been nonstick and the only “food item” the cabin provided was pepper (salt was empty). After staying in other vacation homes we’d assumed while grocery shopping there would be at least oil or a cooking spray, but we could not confirm since we couldn’t even get into our cabin until after 8pm at which we needed to start getting down for bed. I would use caution when booking this, we did not have any difficulties booking or once at the cabin, however we did not originally book with pets and had to add it after, which was complicated and not user friendly. I used the text feature on the app to contact Vacasa and they told me our cabin was not pet friendly and I sent them a screenshot of the listing where it very obviously told they are pet friendly and they said “oh it looks like they are pet friendly”. And then again an issue with the delayed checkin, which also seemed to be a communication issue. All of which seemed to be a Vacasa issue not a cabin issue, but this was our first time with Vacasa and probably our last.

Filthy place

There were spider webs throughout the home. There was a mouse hole in a wall in the kitchen, torn and worn out furniture and it stunk of mold. The home was on a nearly inaccessible dirt road and had trash strewn down the mountain on the side of the home. The doors didn’t close from swelling and decorations and fixtures were falling off the walls. We left two days early and they offered a paltry discount. TERRIBLE PLACE!

Home is poorly kept/Description of property was misleading.

Home was listed as two bedroom , when we got to the house it’s just one bedroom, I guess the living room is considered a “second room” wish they would emphasize that on description, Home needs to be cleaned. Spiderwebs everywhere, cloth couch needs to be replaced and foosball table. Home smells like an old abandoned home.

Vista cabin

Vista location is easy to access and close to Blue Ridge. The roads are wide in most place to pass on coming vehicle. Basic cabin with quiet Atmosphere. Easy to book and work with Vacasa personnel.

loved the cabin we were out of water 1.5 days and heat did not work last 2 days ,notified personel and was told to use fireplaces & wood stove worked good during day but fire would go out while sleeping wed. morning was 21 degress in home wes. evenig was told htg contracter was notified bur never saw anyone worst trip I have ever had ,nice cabin & location

Great property

Enjoyed our stay. Deck with swing was great. Directions on how to work the thermostat would have been great. Only 1 coffee cup in cabinet. Hard for 3 people to drink coffee with 1 cup. Directions for wood stove would have been helpful.

Nice for a quick getaway

Cozy cabin with a nice view and layout. We had a good time but experienced issues with the heating unit staying on and needed maintenance to make a visit. The air filter was filthy and had not been changed in a long time. There are two fireplaces but both are in need of a good cleaning and have flue issues. The bathroom is very small with low water pressure and the electrical outlet didn’t work. The couch in the main living area needs to be replaced.

Our stay

We picked the cabin because it had a ramp. My husband has to use a walker. we were a little disappointed about some things' The room at the front door did not have heat and there was no extra blankets. We did enjoy the quite and the view was great.

Perfect Family Getaway

The cabin is beautiful! The pictures online don't give it enough justice. It's very clean and spacious. We went to Blue Ridge for our family vacation. It's location is 8 min away from downtown Blue Ridge. Very comfortable and cozy place! Love it!

Remotely Romantic

This cabin is really beautiful. Great location…close enough for convenience, far enough for privacy. This place was the center of an awesome romantic getaway. We came as friends and left so much more! Will definitely return!

Vista Cabin

The bed was really comfortable. Close to downtown Blue Ridge. The road to the cabin was easy to get to but needed my truck. We brought the convertible VW Beetle for fun but you need a higher vehicle for the backroad hills. The cabin was overall clean but needs dusting. Carpenter bees was making a mess on the front and back porch. I swept it up but the sawdust was constantly coming down. The rocking chair on the back porch is in a "wobbly" state. When we first got there, the outside garbage was all around the trash can area. I think the bears must have stopped by. Overall, it was a great stay. Oh, shower needs a new shower curtain and liner and vent in the bathroom was dusty and moldy. It really was a great stay, just needs some TLC in the areas I mentioned. Thanks.

With two friends we came to do some trout fishing, Storms leaking raft and waders but we had a great time. Could have had a few more pots for cooking and instructions for the TVs . Locale was beautiful.

Cabin in Blue Ridge

Nice area and beautiful cabin..Cabin sign online needs more details about how is equiped it. Cabin do not have laundry area and do not have to many electric appliances. As well is not have a fire pit. Other than that the stay was great !!!
