Cute, cozy home away from home

My family enjoyed our stay at this cute and cozy home. We loved the access from the backyard to Veteran’s Park and enjoyed walking the trails. The house was clean and very well equipped! Would stay here again!

Great second stay

This was our family’s second stay at this wonderful home. There is lots of space, activities, and comfy spots. The house is decorated adorably. Tons of games and accessories are included with the house. The location is perfect and close to Cleveland and the lake.

Everything about this home is wonderful. It was clean, cozy, and beautifully updated. Karen/George thought of everything to make the stay perfect! Nothing wasn’t thought of
games, entertainment, loaded coffee station, stand alone ice maker, 2 main bedrooms with full en suite baths and a cozy upstairs with full bath too. You won’t be disappointed!

The whole property was great! We loved the fenced backyard and easy access to walking trails. The house was, by far, the cleanest and most thoughtful vacation rental we have ever stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming house

We stayed at this property while in town for a funeral - it proved to the perfect place for our family. The hosts were responsive and friendly. It was one of the best stocked rental properties I’ve stayed at, including a little coffee area and lots of family friendly games. It felt warm and cozy and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Best Hosts and home on VRBO

We can’t say it enough, Karen and George are by far, hands downs the best hosts one could ever ask for. The attention to your situation personally upon checking is without a doubt the best in the business. This was our second stay at their beautiful home and it will NOT be our last. In a time where our family was visiting for again not so great times, Karen and George and their home made those times so much better. We thank you both, from my entire family, thanks will never be enough.

Adorable and comfortable

This home was perfect for us. We traveled with friends to golf and fish in the area. We had plenty of room and everything was decorated beautifully as well as very clean! The hosts were great communicators all the way through the process...they even bought cookies from a local bakery for us as a nice surprise at check in. Would highly recommend as it was close to everything we needed!

Awesome!

Very clean and lovely interior. Loved the two master bedrooms on the first floor with their own baths. Wonderful screened/heated porch overlooking the yard. We really enjoyed the close walk to the lake. Plus the fenced in yard!! Kitchen was very well equipped. Communication with owner was great--very easy! Overall we loved it and highly recommend!

Beautiful!

This house is beautiful and well maintained. Complimentary items were thoughtfully provided like popcorn, coffee and tea, bug spray, s’mores kit, firewood and kindling, beach towels, yard games. There’s also several books and movies available. We loved watching birds from the back porch. and walking through the nature preserve (path access in backyard). We would stay again!

We are a group of 3 couples who do a Friends Weekend once a year. This was our 5 stay together. We had a fantastic time at Sentimental Stay. What a great house!! Everything exceeded our expectations. George & Karen thought of everything. We arrived to a personally written welcome note & a box of treats from a local bakery. The home is spectacularly clean & beautifully decorated. The amenities & personal touches were top-notch all throughout the home. We had a wonderful time & would highly recommend Sentimental Stay to anyone looking for a great spot to stay in the Mentor area.

Perfect getaway!

Our family came up from Columbus for a couple nights to explore Cleveland and have some family time. Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to stay—we didn’t want to leave! The house is updated and beautifully decorated. There are multiple hang-out spots—a well-appointed kitchen with a huge island, the basement has a Wii, foosball, darts, and games for the kids, there is a sun room off the back of the house for quiet mornings and beautiful views, and a fun patio space complete with s’mores supplies and a fire pit. George and Karen have thought of literally EVERYTHING—TV’s and wireless phone chargers in every bedroom, ceiling fans, extra toiletries, blankets and pillows
 We couldn’t have asked for more. And now that we know it’s here, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely Perfect!

I rented the house for two nights, Oct. 22-Oct.24, 2021 for my friend's wedding. The first night the bride, me and another friend stayed the night and had an impromptu bachelorette party. We used the house the next day (Wedding Day) for pre-wedding prep. The second night the bride and groom spent their wedding night at the house. I can't rave enough about this house and my experience working with its owners. From start to finish, Karen and George were phenomenal and exceptionally welcoming. They had s'mores, tea, coffee, local cupcakes and a small gift for the bride waiting for us upon arrival. The house is not large, but it was well-laid out. It felt cozy and roomy at the same time. The house, sunroom, outdoor area were clean, orderly and fully stocked with whatever was needed. The house was recently renovated and is beautifully decorated. You will not be disappointed with this VRBO. Thank you Karen and George for your thoughtfulness!

This property was perfect for our weekend getaway with family. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. It was way more spacious than it looked from the outside, and was located in a beautiful neighborhood. It was clean and comfortable and had a lot of sitting areas and places just to hang out. George and Karen were fabulous hosts. They communicated with me promptly when I had any questions and left easy check in and check out instructions. I am already booked to come back in the spring for my daughter’s graduation and wedding! I am so happy I found this home!!

This house was perfect! Very close to our family and wedding we attended. Owners are wonderful and left us welcoming muffins that were delicious! I would highly recommend staying here and was also great to walk out the back yard and be right on walking trails! Absolutely beautiful. we also enjoyed the fire pit! Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Located in northeast Ohio in Lake County attached to Lake Metroparks Veterans Pond with fishing, bike/walking trails. This house has such beautiful scenery! Make a cup of coffee or tea, grab a book and relax in the attached sunroom (favorite spot of many guests) or outside seating and take in the sounds of nature. We suggest taking a morning walk through Veterans Park when the sun is just making its way over the pond. Located conveniently near so many bicycle trails including being able to visit within 10 minutes several beaches in the area as well as boating activities and wineries. Some of the area attractions include Fairport Harbor Beach which is dog friendly! Take your furry friend with you and enjoy kayaking, swimming, yoga on the beach or just walk the area. This area is also close enough to downtown Cleveland that you can take a day trip to Cleveland and enjoy the many wonderful areas to visit in downtown Cleveland such as the Westside Market, Ohio City, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Browns and Indians stadiums. Near all major hospitals including Cleveland Clinic and UniversityHospitals, bith featured as top hospitals in the country.

Several guests have stayed here and visited the Cuyahoga National Park located just a short drive from here!
