Had an amazing time staying at Gail's cabin in the woods. Clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Hot tub was clean and enjoyed by the whole family.

We had a great stay at the cabin, it was very close to Rocky top sports Arena, where our daughter was playing volleyball, super clean and provided everything we needed during our stay! The host was very accommodating and responsive, and we would highly recommend this cabin!

Great location! 4 minutes from a couple of restaurants and 5 minutes from a Food City grocery store. The cabin was very clean. The kitchen had everything you need to make meals if going with a family. My kids enjoyed the games and puzzles in the loft and swimming in the pool just below the cabin balcony. We had multiple bear sightings during our stay and it was amazing!

Great cabin

This cabin is so cozy, and inviting. A front porch and back deck, comfortable beds and adorable decor. There is a nice pool and swing set perfect for kids.

Perfect! The hot tub was wonderful! It’s a perfect place for two couples as the upstairs area has bedroom, bathroom AND living room area. Beds are. Wet comfortable and the place is very clean. The property manager was very proactive in providing necessary information. And we saw a black bear in the parking lot!

Cozy cute and clean!!!

We have been having a rough summer and decided to “run away” for a few days. It was a perfect place! It’s a cozy cabin in the woods. She communicates with me about anything I needed. It’s so close to the pool, has a super clean hot tub, very close to Food City, downtown Gatlinburg and even Pigeon Forge isn’t far. There are also numerous safety devices which shows the owners care!

Very nice cabin!

We had two families to stay here and it was perfect. It was very clean and well maintained. The location was great! Just a few minutes away from Gatlinburg and about 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge. We would book this cabin again!

Wonderful Cabin!

We wanted to take a quick trip for spring break, and my boyfriend and I usually stay in a smaller cabin right down the road when we go for weekend getaways but we needed something bigger since we took the human and fur kids, so glad we chose Gail's cabin! We just love that area and her cabin was perfect for our family with an even better view than the one we usually stay in when it's just us two ❤️

Loved the place!

The cabin was perfect for our family of 6. The loft was perfect for the kids and the pool directly behind it was great! Super close to many of the things we did. Gail was great at communication and keeping us informed!

Christmas in the Smokies

The cabin was a great place to spend the holidays. The location was very close to downtown, attractions and the mountains. Spent several days hiking and shopping. The communication from the host was complete and easy to follow. Great suggestions and will keep on my list for the next trip to Gatlinburg.

Beautiful

Perfect for families, couples, girls or bros trip. You name it! We woke to bears on the roof our first night but that added to the charm! It is beyond secure and we had no worries. They explored and left! The hot tub was super relaxing and the pool is just outside our cabin where we could see everyone from our balcony! All of our kids had their own space! Housekeeping deserves props as well! It had everything we needed and wanted in the perfect spot for nature enthusiasts or Dollywood lovers alike! Close enough to get into town but far out enough that it’s easy to forget and close to trails. Can’t rave enough about it!

Perfect Getaway

This cabin is a hidden gem. Perfect location - close to everything, yet tucked away from the business of town at the same time. Everything was immaculate and well thought out. The check-in process was a breeze and communication with the property manager was easy. We will definitely be returning! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Such a great time!

Everything about staying at the Reclusive Moose was awesome! Check in was easy and smooth, as was check out. The place was beautiful and so much attention to little details. Great location to the downtown area but also quiet so we could get some good rest. The kids absolutely loved the video game cabinet and woke up to play every morning while we made breakfast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin!

Very nice and peaceful cabin in the woods

We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin is in a great location. Very quiet, yet close to Gatlinburg and all the activities. We even had a bear visit our driveway one morning! Cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. Beds were so comfortable. Communication with Gayle was so easy. She always responded when we had a question. Overall a very enjoyable stay! Hope to be back some day soon!

Very comfortable place that’s minutes from everything..This was our 3rd trip to Gatlinburg and we finally got to see some bears close up on the front porch and the back porch,diffently was a high point of our trip just being there at the cabin.Gail always returned our messages with in minutes and made sure our comfort was a major priority,Thanks Gail

I am a life-long resident of middle Tennessee. I have lived within 50 miles of Nashville all my life. (But, I escape to Gatlinburg every chance that I get!) I grew up on a dairy farm--my dad and brother still milk cows. I am a former United States Postal Service city letter carrier, have taught math for 26 years, and currently teach math in a public high school. I have five grown children and five grandchildren. I share my home with a sweet tiny pug/Boston terrier mix.

Varför värden valde detta boende

My husband bought this property in 2016. We vacationed here many times in 2016 and 2017. He passed away in November of 2017. I love the cabin because it is such a cozy, special place for me, full of great memories and new ones that are made each time that I visit! During the GSMNP closure during COVID in 2020, I spent time at the cabin and updated just about everything in the cabin. Today, it is welcoming, immaculate and waiting for guests to enjoy!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

I love how close the cabin is to Gatlinburg! Less than four miles away. Guests love the serenity of the quiet neighborhood yet delight in the proximity to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Rocky Top Sports Complex, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and all the attractions and great food in the area.

There is an awesome little grocery store about 2 miles away. The cabin has a good view of Mt. Leconte with great roads that are maintained by the resort when it snows. A pool was installed just in front of the cabin :) There is a pavillion, playground, and basketball goal there too. This cabin is ideal for honeymooners, a small family, two couples with several children, or for any group of 4-6 who would like to get away and stay in the mountains!
