The 2nd floor deck on this house is glorious! What a place to relax, watch the lake activity and view the sunset. Simply wonderful.
This is a refreshed older house, so design and some furnishings and appliances are dated (trash compactor, anyone?) but appliances all worked well. Interior mostly clean, exterior needs cleaning. It's split level. You enter on street level, which also has a full bath - this bath serves the downstairs. You go down half a flight or up half a flight to similar floor plans. Each floor has two bedrooms at the front (nearest the road, which is close). You will hear some road noise, but appears to be decent sound insulation - road noise never woke us up. Upstairs is a bunkroom and a large bedroom with a king. Upstairs also has full bath (shower but no tub). The bathrooms have been updated as to countertops, showers, fixtures, but not toilets. No issues there. Downstairs another two bedrooms. The bathroom is the previously mentioned entrance one (tub/shower). In the space nearest the lake, both levels have a long narrow living area in half the space, with a fireplace separating that from the other half, which upstairs is the kitchen and downstairs is the laundry room. Both living areas have TVs, as does bunkroom, but not the adult bedrooms. Wifi worked well. There are no instructions for working the TVs, so you have four remotes and no idea which to use in what order. Called the managers, who were not helpful. Similarly, no instructions for using fireplace (can only use the upstairs one). Another call. They texted handwritten instructions that looked like a child had done them. Tried to follow them a few times unsuccessfully (child smarter than me). If you're experienced w/ gas fireplaces, may not need them.
Large garage has water toys. Could park a vehicle there - no remote opener available.
Have I mentioned the glorious deck? Since the house is only 10 steps from the water, it looks like you're on a cruise ship - just railing and water. Can watch sunset from the deck, but a better view is from dock. There is a tiny beach (basically none), and you could tie up a boat or PWC to dock.
Neighbors are very close. Not visible unless they go out in water or on docks, thanks to fences and trees, but you will hear them if they're there. If they're partying, then you're partying.
House has a holding tank for sewer. If it fills up, light comes on in garage, then you have to call company to pump out, while worrying about overflow.
