Cozy getaway in the mountains

The property met all our expectations and more! The cabin was spacious, clean, and very accommodating for our family of 9. It was also conveniently located to many attractions. We will do it again!

We were very pleased with the location of the house. The house itself was accurately advertised and we were very pleased with everything. Only suggestion would be dresser drawers so we could unpack for the week. Overall great location and home!

This is the perfect cabin!

This cabin was perfect! It is so roomy, lots of room to relax on any of the three levels. If we go back to this area, we would love to stay in this cabin again. A great place, great location. It’s closer to McCaysville than Blue Ridge, and both towns offer quaint restaurants and shopping.

Wonderful Cabin

Wonderful cabin with pretty views! Last minute decision to stay in Blue Ridge and didn't want to stay at a hotel! Great choice with this cabin! Clean, everything as described, plenty of kitchen utensils! We saw deer each day and enjoyed sitting on the porches each night until dusk. You won't regret your stay! See you soon Whispering woods!

Nice House but could be better.

We loved the size of the house. It could have been clearer. I know it is a cabin in the woods but tons of spiders and spider webs both inside and out. It could use bug care. The parking area was a little over grown. Nice deck area but furniture was dirty. The house lacked a few things like bed side tables, dressers, lamps, and wine glasses. It was just kind of bare bones. Management was nice and answered questions.

Nice place to stay with our family of nine.

The allure of the Blue Ridge Mountains

The perfect spot to get away from life's hustle and bustle! We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend, breathing fresh air and communing with nature. From the privacy of our bedroom to the shared common areas, the views were spectacular. At certain points of the day the mountains really are blue!! The game area was an added bonus, air hocky and shuffleboard. Lots of fun, good for the competitive spirit. Just before retiring for the night, the hot tub put the cherry on the top. What a weekend!!

So beautiful that I didn't want to leave!

This cabin is amazing. Besides it being huge and nicely decorated, it's cozy, clean and breathtakingly beautiful. My family was enamored with the design and wood work. And the deck is massive and perfect for moments. The kitchen give us a lot of space to do a lot of cooking. We talk a walk around the community and it was just beautiful being out in nature. I would totally recommend.

Great place for a big crowd!

I went with 8 other women for a birthday weekend! The outdoor space is perfection from the huge hot tub to to the fireplace/TV combo on the outdoor porch. The house was well stocked, had comfortable rooms and plenty of spaces for us to gather. The downstairs den is amazing with a kitchen that inlcudes a wine fridge, dishwasher, ice maker and full size refridgerator. It is about 5 minutes from McCaysville and 10 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge. The only complaint was that the can opener needs to be replaced (oh, and that we couldn't stay longer).

Fabulous house!!

This house is perfect!! What great space for a large group!! We loved the deck and fireplace!! Perfect weather for sitttimg by the fire!! It was supplied wirh most anything you would need!! We highly recommend this house!!

Nice house!

Pros and Cons

Property, location & house were awesome! When spending what we did on this cabin, you wouldn't expect to have to purchase TP, paper towels, garbage bags, hair dryer, cooking spray and other "necessities". At a minimum, there should have been powdered creamer and sugar packets to avoid an early morning run to the convenience store. Outdoor furniture was uncomfortable and filthy, but it did lend itself to some beautiful nature.

Great cabin!

We arrived to a very warm cabin. We were thankful for overcast skies because 2 of the 3 AC zones were not working. The filters also needed to be replaced as they were black. But when we reached out, the communication was great. The maintenance guy was on it and so nice. He called in the AC guys and apologized. These things happen. We understand and were impressed with the way it was handled. Other than that everything was wonderful. The cabin is even better than advertised. I loved that there was room for a big groups in all the common areas. I especially loved the easy clean up and check out procedures. Some places on VRBO have pages of things to do. That was not the case at Whispering Woods and it was so appreciated. It met our needs perfectly and we will be back.

Amazing!!!

This cabin is everything and more and what you see on pics is what you see in person. We even got to enjoy the beautiful snow. Cabin was nice clean & warm at arrival. Plenty of room! Will definitely book again. The only thing noticed that needs some attention is the shower curtain in lower level bathroom. It's need to be replaced, it has some black spot at bottom in the inside that's probably from getting wet so much.

Nice cabin.

Cabin is nice. Good location. Only bad part was the 8pm quiet hours. If you get in late from activities and want to sit by the fire it is hard to be quieter when it echoes. Other than that everything was great!
