Come experience lake life!

This newly remodeled lake house is the perfect retreat for you and your group. Featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, this property can easily accommodate 14+ guests. Just a block from the public beach and park, and minutes from the Boulder Lake Cross Country ski trails, you find plenty to do during any season!

Want to bring your boat? Snowmobile or ski equipment? We have storage space! You may also launch your boat down the road and park at our dock.

Take advantage of the full kitchen or grill on the back deck while overlooking the bay. If you don't want to cook, visit the Island Lake Inn resort next door for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also offer takeout and off-sale beer, wine, or liquor if there is anything you forgot to bring! They also have premium fuel for all of your machines.

On the upper level you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A couples retreat with a queen bed, the long hallway room, with 2 queen beds, and a family suite with a king bed and full over full bunk bed featuring newly refinished en suite bathroom.
The main floor has a cozy room with full size bed and a 3/4 bath as well as a pull out couch. All bedrooms and the main living space feature Roku enabled televisions and wireless internet access.

Annivesary celebration for parents. 60 years

It worked out well for our stay. We liked having the Bar and grill right next door. 20 miles to Duluth so not too far for sight seeing.

Duluth girls trip

Overall, the trip was amazing. We really had a lot of fun! The only thing would have been if we were closer, and not so tucked into the corner by the lake. Other than that, much fun was had by all!

Friends weekend

The property was what we needed. As other reviews mention, it is RIGHT next to the bar but we really didn’t notice noise or anything negative about that. It wouldn’t be a first choice for a family who wants a secluded location but it was great for what we needed.

We stayed for the grandmas marathon weekend. Place was very clean and great location right on Island Lake. Communication from owner/property manger was amazing. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable

The house had everything we needed and warmly decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with good appliances. The living area was comfortable and bright. The swimming area was clean and never crowded but not convenient as you needed to cross two blacktop roads to get to it.

Duluth vrbo

We enjoyed the time we spent here. It was very cozy. Although it was across the parking lot of the local bar and eatery, it was very quiet at night. The shower in the downstairs bathroom was not handicap accessible, which was disappointing. The bedroom downstairs was very small and not efficient for someone wearing a prosthetic leg. Overall, we were able to adapt to the space and enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for opening your home to us. We would definitely stay again if we choose Duluth for our reunion.

We so enjoyed staying at the VRBO rental. It was in a nice quiet area and close to the beach. Lots of fun. Good food next door. Not a lot of traffic in this area. We has such a great time at your house.

Fabulous

Ladies weekend to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday!! Location was perfect and scenic. We ate dinner at the bar next door and food was delicious. House was beautiful, clean, and cozy and had everything we would need. Would definitely stay here again!! Host was very accommodating and helpful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Family Celebration

The house itself was good. Plenty of space and supplies. Clean, updated bathrooms were nice! Enjoyed the convenience of the bar/restaurant but did not realize it was so close and there was a lot of traffic in and out. Also, the lakeside was not what we were expecting. The lake water was very low and the house is located next to a small pocket that connects to a bigger lake so we are glad we did not bring our boat.

Loved this house.

Beautiful big house that we loved. Someone was close enough to bring us what we needed (batteries & propane). There’s a big yard for games & the dining room table accommodated all 10 of us for meals & games. The house is decorated very nicely and is very clean. There are two decks and a lot of outdoor furniture. We had a great time and love the house. We hope to rent it again!!

Great except for “mosquito room”

Overall this was a great place for us to stay! Room for the kids to play both inside and out, and if you needed there was space to relax away from the busyness of having nine people in the same house. The middle room upstairs that had the two beds had a reoccurring issue each night with multiple mosquitoes in the room. No idea if there was a hole somewhere or how they were getting in. None of the other rooms had this problem.

Unique

The home itself was nice. Plenty of space outside and inside for all of my family. Even with being next to the bar, it was still relaxing and peaceful. Along with that though, we also had some issues. One, to get to firepit area, it was a steep muddy hill. Very unsafe for everyone. Second, there were multiple interruptions from owners. Once to look at building steps to firepit, another when fixing the connecting rental space, and again when asking for more garbage bags the owner came into the house to unlock a door where supplies are. Next, the advertised private dock was being used by others boaters, who then had to walk through our rented area to get to the bar. Lastly, some ATVs came to bar but instead of parking in parking lot, parked on the yard we were playing beanbags on. The advertised fully stocked kitchen was short on pots and few things, so make sure you are aware of what is there. Overall, we had a very unique experience with this place, but owners did understand some things and refunded a night and we did enjoy ourselves!!!

Duplex located in busy bar parking lot next to a loud busy road, on a cove not the actual lakeshore

Listing says it’s a private lakeside home, but it’s a duplex next to a busy bar/restaurant. Main entrance literally steps from busy parking lot w/ bar traffic & a busy 2-lane road (45-55 mph) with constant noise. It was so loud in bedrooms we got box fans to try to drown out road noise (no match for loud dump trucks & ATV’s speeding by). The “lakefront” is actually a small cove off a channel that connects to the lake & is busy w/ bar patron boats (we came home some evenings with no place to dock our boat). The swimming beach advertised as across the street: you have to climb over a metal guardrail, walk across a busy road at a curve & then traverse down a steep unmarked dirt path covered in roots. Bedrooms have only sheer window panels that block no sound or light. Direct a.m. sun in windows facing the road, lights from parking lot shine in side windows at night. The kitchen is outdated, small & sparsely stocked; there were literally 4 spoons total for a home that is advertised to sleep up to 14. This may be a good spot for a guys fishing/snowmobiling trip but definitely NOT ideal for a family vacation w/ 5 kids under 12. We felt duped by the listing’s approximate location (shows the house as located across the road on the lake). SO disappointed but we had zero options to change at the last minute during a holiday week. Booked/paid in full a year in advance & didn’t have many reviews to warn us that this isn’t a quiet lakeside retreat appropriate for families/kids.
