Beautiful house with a wonderful Host

We stayed here for 3 nights to explore Normandy by car. Port-en-Bessen is a perfect location and this house is in the middle of it. Wonderful hostess met us and walked us thru the house and made sure we were comfortable and all our questions were answered. She provided us with local and Normandy information and the house was extremely well stocked for us. Three wonderful nights and we were sad to leave. We travel a lot and this was our favorite house and town to stay in. We will be back!

Excellent place near Normandy beaches

We really enjoyed this house. It is well situated for visiting the Normandy sites/D-day beaches. There is a great bakery down the street and some good shops. We loved the hosts, who were very helpful and great with communication. They will meet you to show you the house and give you the keys.The shower is especially good, so enjoy that.One thing to be careful of is the spiral staircase, they are metal and a little tricky to navigate, so watch out for that. Otherwise, you will not regret staying here.

Absolute pristine stay!

Geraldine was extremely friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The flat was equipped with everything my family of four needed, down to soap, snacks, olive oil, and toilet paper. The flat was exactly as pictured and the decor was beautiful. We especially enjoyed coming into an absolutely spotless environment. Geraldine clearly has taken the time to make this rental a pleasant experience for her guests and it shows. The location is also great for sightseeing everything in the area—along with a supermarket and restaurants (that are open until 9pm) only a stone’s throw away. Thank you so much for all! 10/10 recommend!

Normandy Vacation

We had a truly exceptional stay at Geraldine's property. Her house had all the items needed for a comfortable stay for our family of four, as well as extra touches that made our time there very enjoyable. Geraldine met us at check-in and shared lots of helpful information about the town and surrounding areas, which was very beneficial in helping us plan. There are several dining options and shops all within a short walking distance from her property. She was always available and communication was excellent. We would certainly recommend her property if you are looking for a place to stay in the Normandy area. Geraldine was wonderful & her property was very clean and nicely appointed - we would definitely stay here again - it was a terrific experience!

Magical Stay in Port-en-Bessin

The house was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The owner met us on check-in to show us the house and highlight restaurants and things to see in Normandy. She unobtrusively checked in several times to make sure everything was fine with the house. The house is a very short walk to downtown Port-en-Bessin - the quintessential French fishing town that is centrally located amongst the D-Day landing beaches. We are definitely coming back.

Great central home for Normandy

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights at Geraldine’s home and it’s perfect for 2-4 people. The location is central to everything D-Day related and makes touring Normandy easy. The primary bedroom bed is very comfortable as are the furnishings in the living and dining room. Everything in the home feels new and is super clean. We loved that she gave us two keys to the home so that if we wanted to leave at different times, one of us wasn’t without a key. Our only caution relates to the hot water. We learned that the hot water is most plentiful in the morning, but after a long day touring it would have been nice to come back to a hot shower. Ultimately, not a deal breaker for us and we would still return to Geraldine’s home, but we could see this being a concern if someone in your group prefers to shower at night.

Stay in Normandy

Our stay was lovely- Geraldine was very accommodating, and the property is spotless and comfortable. It was so nice having a full kitchen but also being walking distance into town for great bakeries and cafes. We enjoyed the view from the port and proximity to all the DDay museums. Geraldine has a wealth of knowledge on the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Perfect place

Geraldine is a perfect host and gave us a lot of good recommendations on things to do , restaurants to try and other information that was necessary to know. The accomodation was beautyfull and very clean and fully equipped . The location is perfect, almost in the centre of the town. Altough there is enough place to park freely in the town, a private parking place would be nice. Highly recommend staying here!!

Beautiful Accomodations

Geraldine is a very gracious host and provided a lot of good recommendations on things to do and restaurants to try. We were fortunate to stay for 11 days and were able to take advantage of the fabulous weekly market. The accomodations were nicely decorated and very clean. The property is conveniently located to easily walk to town and to drive to the many WWII sites. Highly recommend staying here, we will on a return trip!

Cute little place in a cute little town.

This is a nicely updated house in a great location in town. We found it to be clean and has everything you need for your stay. It is within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Geraldine is a wonderful and responsive host. Only negatives are the tight winding staircase and creaky upstairs floors. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

encore un super moment à Port en Bessin

passé une merveilleuse semaine dans la belle et moderne maison de Géraldine. Il est décoré avec goût. Nous venons régulièrement à Port en Bessin mais n'avons jamais séjourné à cette adresse auparavant. Cela vaut certainement la peine de répéter. équipement très complet et hôtesse très sympathique. Le seul inconvénient est qu'il n'y a pas de jardin, mais l'extérieur sur le trottoir est également agréable.

super semaine a Port en Bessin

nous avons été très bien accueillis par Geraldine et son mari dans une belle maison à une encablure du port, 2mn à pied, avec tous les commerces a proximité, la situation est parfaite, car centrale, par rapport aux plages du débarquement. belles balades à faire dans Port en Bessin qui est un petit bijou de port de pêche. l'intérieur est bien décoré , et il ne manque strictement rien pour passer un séjour confortable.

Very well appointed cottage Honfleur

A really lovely place to stay in a great little town. Communication with the property manager was excellent and the booking process was very easy. Accommodation very well appointed, decorated and furnished throughout. Only note of caution is that the spiral staircase might be an issue for small children or older people. All in all we couldn’t fault our stay.

Magnifique séjour, très bel emplacement

Entièrement rénové, moderne et vraiment très "cosy". Parfaitement placé pour les passionnés des plages du débarquement et de cette page d'histoire. L'accueil a vraiment été très agréable. Un très beau séjour! Un tout grand merci et à la prochaine fois!
