A nice cozy place to relax and enjoy nature. This spot is a great escape from the pace of life in town. Plenty of great trails and scenic views close by.

Pretty cool place, close to the Appalachian Trail, cliffs, and tucked away in the mountains. Cell reception was spotty, and never figured out how to work the tv, but was saved by a dvd collection. We went to Hot Springs on the way up and enjoyed the secluded weekend.

Beautiful cabin and loved being able to disconnect from the internet and cell phone. My daughter had a wonderful time playing board games and just relaxing in nature. Aldo the beds were extremely comfortable.

Viking Mountain Lodge is a beautiful spot to get away and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Picture life not so long ago when people enjoyed picnics, fishing, games and family. If the weather is not good, you stillHave a cozy fireplace to read by and a hospitable kitchen to cook and converse with one another. A truly great place to escape!

We loved the real log cabin experience. The bedrooms were nice and plenty of beds to choose from. I missed the detail that there is no AC! Didn't know it until we arrived, but at night we were ok with fans, just a bit warmer than we would choose to be. When you're at the cabin, there is no cell service or WiFi. The creek makes a beautiful sound, and with all the windows open, you can hear it easily. The cabin has a distinct barn wood smell which took me back to my childhood, playing in my parents' barns. The well water does have the sulfur smell, which isn't too bad for me, but my son & husband had a hard time with it. Also very little water pressure, a common well water issue. Large selection of DVDs, books, and games.I appreciated the antique decor, and reading the history of the cabin in the guest book. Overall nice stay.

We’re a big group of old friends, and for the 2nd year in a row we enjoyed this wonderful cabin. It’s not only clean and comfortable but the many chairs and great outdoor spaces make it a fantastic choice for our group of old dudes.

If you want a place to unplug, unwind, and generally disappear for a bit - this is your place. Cabin was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to have a great family getaway. Without internet or cell service, we played games, read books, and explored the outdoors. Alan, the host, left very detailed instructions, information about the area and maps of how to get to different places. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back again.

Our family loves this cabin. It is well laid out and accommodated all 9 of us including 3 dogs. We appreciated the break from cell phones and social media, and spent a great amount of time playing board games and watching old movies together as a family. We highly recommend!

It’s a lovely spot on a creek with hiking nearby. The cabin is rustic, comfy with all the necessary amenities. It’s a great get-away to encourage family time. We really enjoyed our stay.
