Family get together

We love staying at the dunes and always try to book when we visit family who resiide in Whanganui. The grojnds are lovely and gbe veiw is outstanding. The property has everything you need.

Perfect location - Needs a little TLC

This home has so much potential! Location is good and the view from the home is amazing! Seemed to me like a work in progress with many things being replaced and brand new while others were in need of repair. Jacuzzi only partial worked. No lights and not all jets were not operating. Chairs on deck had moss growing on them. Only a washing machine No dryer for laundry. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash provided. Landscaping needs attention. Hopefully in the future it will all be completed

Great Stay

We loved our stay at “The Dunes”.Great property and had everything we needed.The views and sunsets were spectacular.Having 2 decks gave options to dine.Great communication with the host.It was clean and tidy. We will be back!

Relaxing stay with 5* views

My husband and I stayed for three weeks over the holidays and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We cooked at the house most of the time and the kitchen was well equipped. The deck and views are amazing. We highly recommend.

Our stay at the Dunes

This is our 3rd time to stay at the Dunes, the spa pool and views are amazing. However the plumbing is needing some attention. We wondered why there was a plunger beside the toilet and the kitchen taps are a bit tired. But it was still an enjoyable stay and we couldn't fault the cleanliness

Great Escape

Photos need an update!

To be fair wouldn't rate it. Was dirty, mouldy window sills, dusty old decor, scummy dirty toilet brush and mats. The duvet covers were just sitting on the inners. Smelt manky when we got there and had to air it out. Not ideal for small kiddies. The photos with the rope railing is not actually there and is open so not safe. Pc, internet leads everywhere. The golf hitting area could do with some new turf and the rusty broken bbq sitting right next to it could do with a chuck out. Spa had sand in it, most of the nozzles didn't work and you couldn't adjust the temperature. The small sunroom is scummy. Lamps all damp stained and for the love of god don't open the curtains, all of the rubbers are hanging off. Highlight the view. Lowlight everything else. Disappointed and a waste of money.

A really relaxing break

This is the perfect place to unwind and relax -‘amazing views across the Tasman Sea, very nice spa (suggestion to owners: please include operating instructions so can turn spa bubbles off), fully furnished and comfortable. Just lovely

Beautiful View of the Sea!

We loved our time at the Dunes in Castlecliff, the house was spacious, warm and comfortable. We loved the beautiful sea views and it was lovely to enjoy a spa on the deck after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend.

Suggestions

All was great about the property except the steep access that we felt was a bit concerning with no lights at night making it dangerous. A part from that we were very happy with everything.
