The Space:
Loburn Retreat 2 by Tiny Away sits in a quiet, rural location of South Island New Zealand, just 12 minutes from the lively historic farming town of Rangiora and 43 minutes away from the central city of Christchurch. It is conveniently close to attractions such as Waikuku Beach, numerous Rangiora restaurants and cafes, and the popular Ohoka Farmers' Market.

This holiday homes NZ escape is just 20 minutes from the stunning Pegasus Coastline beaches and the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. The tiny home is set on a sloped block, so guests should be prepared for the incline.

What's more, guests have exclusive access to a private woodland area with pine, willow, and native trees, featuring a slackline, a teepee with a firepit and seating, a labyrinth walk, and a community space with a games room, art room, and relaxation area.

It's a 139-square-foot tiny home with easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent private bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that our holiday homes are on a quiet 100km no-through road, though local traffic and occasional logging trucks may pass. Guests have access to all buildings and relaxation areas, which may be shared with a few other guests. Your peace and privacy are important to us.

If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Loburn Retreat 1 by Tiny Away," with 24 hours' notice in advance. Campervan parking and Tent sites are also available.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and surrounding areas. However, access to the main house, decking, and backpacker bus accommodation is restricted.

For the convenience of all guests, we provide clean, filtered drinking water and seasonal herbs for tea. Supermarkets are just a 10-minute drive away.

NOTICE TO ALL: Backpacker accommodation is located at the far end of the property, with minimal contact expected outside of community spaces. Town amenities, mountain walks, and ocean strolls are nearby, and clear skies offer ideal star-gazing opportunities around a real fire.

By public transport:

- No public transport in Loburn from Elemental.

- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- Filtered water is provided
- Mobile phone reception has a good signal
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- The property has no animals other than house cats
- Recycling and compost bins are available for guests
- No WiFi at Elemental; however, the town library and local cafes offer free Wi-Fi.
- No smoking allowed inside; except outside the private spaces of the tiny home
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- Only one pet (dog or cat) is allowed;pet policies will be sent prior to arrival

- An Additional $25 charge applies for any pets brought, or for Any Extra Pets, with prior approval from the host
- Please note that some of our activities may involve additional costs, while others are offered complimentary to guests.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
