First aid kit in kitchen cabinet, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detectors also in cabin. No smoking in or on property, no deep fryers or fire pits, bc of fire spark danger. We are in national forest. We are on the mountain side close to The Lodge; in fact, you can walk to end of one street and see the golf course with lots of resident elks! A beautiful, scenic drive takes you to Alamogordo and White Sands. Drive through the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation to Ruidosa for more fun. Hiking trail info is in cabin. Go to Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce for a list of all activities and festivals.

No smoking in cabin or on property, no pets.
Parking is directly in front of cabin, the length of cabin only. We can accommodate 2 cars parallel parked. Please do not block the short driveway, as neighbor must be able to drive through. The long driveway to right, facing cabin, is private property and cannot be used.

Cabin was comfy. Lighting in bathrooms was poor. Only issue was tv viewing. We have satellite access at home and don’t have streaming service account so we were unable to access many channels. Host was great! Location was great. Shops nearby. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for being a guest! The descriptions before booking state that there are streaming services available no cable tv. We provide Prime, Hulu and Netflix. Under Prime choice is HBO, Paramount Plus, AMC, etc. The cabin info sent before 2025 1checkin on message app also describes TV useage, plus detailed instructions by TVs . As for bathroom lighting, there is the standard plus small lamps. Best wishes!

Second stay at this lovely high mt cabin, where we felt right at home. Fully stocked for a peaceful and satisfying vacation. We did daily drives/outings to Sunspot and Apache Point Observatories (the views!), Timberon, Ruidoso (traveling thru gorgeous Mescalero Apache Reservation), Sac Mt Historical Museum, lotsa cute shops, and ate everywhere! Recommend Big Daddys Cafe for breakfast and lunch, and Bros in Law BBQ. Dollar General has what you forgot. Went cruising around town backroads for elk and deer daily. Enjoy this comfy cute cabin!

Our host was communicative and the cabin was WONDERFUL and well-appointed. The lovely cabin is situated within the city of Cloudcroft to allow walking to restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay at Mountain skiing, hiking, hunting and will return!!!

The owner was very nice and took great care of us. The beds were very comfortable. But the best part was seeing the deer outside every night. I highly recommend this rental. To the owner thanks for everything.

Family Stay
It was overall a perfect stay the cabin was in very good condition and the area is very nice. We will definitely be returning some time again.

Second great stay
This was our second stay at this cabin. Well located, well stocked kitchen, clean, updated furnishings and decor. Recommend and plan on staying here again.

Mountain Getaway
The cabin was awesome. Very clean and maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and dishes and the beds were extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice accommodations
The cabin was very nice. The only thing we needed to provide was food. Very well furnished
and comfortable. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay here again.

Restful weekend
This was a weekend for my husband and I to recover and the hosts home was wonderful. Very clean and quiet. We will definitely rebook this beautiful home.

Perfect mountain getaway
My family and I had a great time here. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Check-in and out were simple, and Jana responded quickly to any and all of my questions. Will stay here again the next time we are in Cloudcroft, if it’s available!

We are Texans that fell in love with New Mexico. One is an Architect and the other is an artist. The mountains are inspiring and renews our spirits! We are surrounded by mountains, aspens, pines, wild life, blue skies, snow and fresh air in the Land of Enchantment.
Varför värden valde detta boende
We were enchanted and attracted immediately to the artisan details and craftsmanship of the front deck, and inside the cabin, and the open concept kitchen dining living. Plus we liked that the bedrooms were on separates sides of cabin and each had its full bath.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
All furnishings, bedding, etc. was purchased new. We were given a blank slate and had fun decorating in a mountain theme. All wood furniture is artisan made and all accessories are in a Indian theme, reminding us of the original inhabitants of the mountains.
